"A long time favorite in our family, DG has changed hands. Along with the tasteful musical artwork that used to grace the walls, much seems to have changed here. The food is good, but not as imaginative. On Green Dolphin Street and the Kona rubbed rib-eye remain, signature dishes, but the menu is largely composed of steak with sides. A few lackluster seafood dishes, like the special one of our party had this evening (scallops with curry, pineapple and oranges), fall short of the mark.Service is pleasant but not outstanding. The petite filet I had was cooked properly, but the char on the outside had a bit of grill flavor attached to it. Earlier this year, my mother's lamb chops arrived at the table nearly baa-ing. I miss the old Delmonico's."

"The steak was simply amazing. Just amazing. Scallop and calamari appetizers were decent. They serve only beer and wine. The port was very nice. Chocolate torte dessert was incredible."

"We tried Delmonico's for our anniversary. What lured us was the 1,000 point bonus on weekdays when booking via Open Table. We tried the bruschetta and seared tuna for appetizers and were blown away with how well prepared they were. For a main we split the 11oz. tenderloin. We don't know how it could have been done any better. Cody was fantastic as a maitre'd. Well done!"

"Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted & escorted to our table. Our server took over with professional, perfectly timed aplomb, and served us an amazing culinary delightful dinner! We started with the baked brie & a wonderful bottle of wine. I had the wedge salad with delicious house made blue cheese dressing. One friend ordered the specialty mushroom soup, which he (thankfully!) shared a taste. It was superbly rich & creamy! I ordered the petite filet & sweet potato. The steak was cooked to perfection-tender, juicy & very flavorful. My friends ordered the scallops, and pronounced them excellent! All servings were large enough that we could not finish, but we did manage to share a luscious bread pudding dessert. I can't wait to go back!"

"Definitely at the top of our dining experiences in Rapid City. Yes, it's not cheap but it's reasonable for the quality of food,service, and facilities. We tried a broad range of entrees: steak, seafood, pasta ... all was very nicely done and the accompaniments (soup, salad, bread) were also well done and enjoyable. The service was very attentive and not overdone. I particularly appreciated the replacement of tableware between courses so you don't have to "save your fork/knife". Thank you! The ambiance was subdued, perhaps a bit spartan but still nice. The room was quiet but it was a fairly small crowd. I like the location in downtown with big windows in an historic building."

"My husband took me there for my birthday. Wait server was very sweet and service timely. Noise carried a little too much as there was a small group across from us and was hard to hear each other. Music they played was kind of heavy metal, didn't care for that at all!! I thought the decor was a bit cold but my husband liked it. Food was wonderful! Since I had gastric surgery I couldn't eat very much so we split the New York Steak (which was a small roast) and was way more than both of us could eat. For a side we ordered the mushroom soup and roasted garlic potatoes which were also outstanding! Prices I thought were ok for what you got. Overall, comparing to the service we received on our cruise, could use some improvement."

"My husband and I went for a Valentine's Day dinner date. Service was spot on, our food came out in a nicely timed sequence, and just about everything was delicious and as expected. We started with the Calamari (which I think you'd already have to be a fan of to appreciate) and for the main course I had the petite Filet and my husband had one of the pasta specials. The steak was cooked to my medium rare request and it's hard to go wrong with a pasta dish. The one thing I questioned was my side of sweet potatoes. You would think in a fine dining establishment they could handle preparing a fresh side but my sweet potatoes looked and tasted like they were right out of the can.
