Kingfisher Restaurant & Wine Bar at Sleeping Lady

Kingfisher Restaurant & Wine Bar features gourmet meals created with the freshest local ingredients, many from Sleeping Lady's own two-acre organic garden. Meals are chef's choice and are served buffet style in Kingfisher's lodge-style setting which features exposed wood beams, river rock, and sweeping views of Icicle Canyon. In the summer months, the terrace and the creek side meadow are available for outdoor dining.
An extensive wine list highlights local favorites and complements the menu, featuring eighteen wines by the glass.
Sleeping Lady is proud to be a member of Chefs Collaborative, a leading nonprofit network of chefs that fosters a sustainable food system through advocacy, education, and collaboration with the broader food community. Sleeping Lady serves seafood recommended by Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.

"Terrible evening. Ambiance of a low price cafeteria. Children noisy and crawling all over the place. No attention from staff. Limited wine list. Salmon pedestrian. Pork loin overcooked. Food unimaginative. Pretentious and overpriced.
To call this "fine dining" is ridiculous. This is a grab and gorge joint."

"This is a buffet style restaurant although of a very high calibre. Sadly the downfall of this restaurant in my opinion are the table placements. This restaurant is situated in a beautiful forest setting but the seating arrangements are tricky as they have some very big tables that take up a lot of space. Great if you are with a big group not so great if you are a couple trying to have a romantic meal! We did ask to be moved but we were told that this was not possible. If you are making a reservation perhaps contact the restaurant itself and ask for a specific table."

"Food was healthy and a great variety, but food lacked taste, not very spicy, kind of blain."

"For a pretty high price for a buffet-like experience you'd get delicious food that it's hard to find in a very fine restaurant."

"Sleeping Lady is a great get-away. Two nights there is refreshing and only a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle w/traffic. The food at Kingfisher is fresh, flavorful and lovely. The staff goes above and beyond to make your meal and stay memorable. Our most recent meal was Easter Brunch. It was an unseasonably warm day. We were traveling with my two French Bulldogs. The service staff was kind enough to allow us outside seating even though the restaurant's official setup hadn't been prepped as yet for Spring/Summer. My friend, the poochies and I sat by the river under a pine tree in the sunlight enjoying a remarkable brunch with full restaurant service. Pretty sweet!"

"Lovely, organic food in a unique, contemplative setting of the resort. The informal, buffet style combined with the always comprehensive salad and desert offerings are a break from most resorts. The local artisans with whom the Kingfisher works are listed and a find by themselves. Highly recommended."
