Sabatino's Restaurant
Welcome to Sabatinos a beautiful old school Italian restaurant with delcious food and great ambieance. You get bread including focaccia - a kind of pizza bread, then a salad and soup, then an entree - try the veal Parmesan, and a side of pasta. Many recommend the baked Alaska dessert. Sabatino"s is dimly lit with flowers on every table, this Italian-American restaurant has been the perfect date restaurant for about 25 years. Diners might have their steak or seafood entrees complemented by the serenade of strolling musicians in the main room or piano music in the bar area. Angelo Pagni, who owns the restaurant with his brother, Enzo, said Sabatino's is popular in the neighborhood for a lot of reasons, food and atmosphere and chief among them. Stop in today!

"Our party of six very much enjoyed their visit to Sabatino's.
The food was plentiful, reasonably priced, and was delicious.

"This is a wonderful Italian Restaurant that has valet parking and is easy to get to. The food in wonderful and the service is very consistent. We have dined here on numerous occasions and always look forward to a return. If you are into the bar scene, this is like walking into the Regal Beagle on the TV Show - Three's Company. Great drinks and lot's of fun!"

"Went for lunch instead of dinner. Several tables not cleared and restaurant was empty when we arrived. Bar patrons extremely loud. Difficult to have a conversation with my date even in an empty restaurant at 3:00pm."

"I dined at Sabatino's with a friend who had grown up in the area, but one who having a Hispanic background had never dined there. Well, times have changed, and we were treated royally in what is truly an essential Chicago restaurant and an authentic Chicago experience. I only wish that I could dine at Sabatino's often enough to be counted as a regular. Once every two or three years doesn't count. The food at Sabatino's is classic veal and red-sauce. The dishes are not amazing in strictly culinary terms (although very good for the genre), but the experience is so comforting, a mix of professionalism and warmth, that evenings at Sabatino's are always delightful."

"Old School at its best! This is a real Italian supper club, and you cannot recreate authenticity. The food and service is very good, but you go for the experience. We've seen many supper club's disappear over the past few years, and there's a reason for Sabatino's longevity - they do it right.
My recent visit was for lunch. I began with the Stacciatella soup of the day - full flavor without being too salty and a nice mix of egg to soup ratio. Moving on to the chicken special - a roasted Greek style half chicken. Flavored well, not over oily, salty or spicy. Simply good food."

"I looked long and hard for a special, romantic restaurant for my girlfriend and I to celebrate our 4 year anniversary at, and I'm glad it was at sabatino's. Food was delicious, the roaming guitar and violin players were phenomenal, and the ambiance was just beautiful. BUT, our waiter, Oscar, took ridiculously long to bring out our food. People got there 20 mins after us, yet managed to get their soup and salad before us. That was the only downside though. Overall, A+"

"You cannot get a bad meal at Sabatinos! I usually try one of the soecials and have never been disappointed.
The staff is always friendly; the food is plentiful and tasty; and we love the piano bar. It was a fun night for three cousins to enjoy each other's company, a great meal in the neighborhood, and not pay $34 for parking!"

"Sabatino's is a true gem of Chicago. Having been several times I already knew about the delicious entrees, generous portions, and reasonable drink prices. THE place to go in Chicago for Baked Alaska.
What was new this time was that we went for a birthday party with a large group. The cocktail lounge worked great as a gathering place before being seated. We were assigned two servers to be sure our group was well covered, and they did take great care of us.
Everyone who had been before was glad we had returned, and several people who were at Sabatino's for the first time have a new favorite place!
Birthday party was Friday night - the toughest time to have a large group and Sabatino's came through with flying colors."
