"I mentioned on my reservation that two of our friends were celebrating their birthday. When they didn't do anything, I asked when I was paying the check and he said that there was no request on the reservation.
Also, we arrived at 7 and did not leave until 10! The waiter took a long time getting around to us and never asked if our food was OK!
four of us had the special - Halibut which was pricey and three of us felt it was dry on the outside (was baked too long I think) and really not that tasty a dish."

"We went on a Monday night with friends from out of town and wanted to just chat and catch up. It was perfect for that--probably because it was a Monday, because the last time we went it was on a weekend and was quite noisy. The service was good, unobtrusive, and the food excellent. I especially appreciated having my fish served with an array of vegetables -- no starch! One of us ordered a six-cheese pasta which was not a great success (it was a special and perhaps not one to be repeated) but all of us fish-eaters were very pleased. The grilled asparagus appetizer was delicious."

"This was our first time at Capri Ristorante Italiano. We had 7pm Saturday reservations for 4, and only waited about 5 minutes for a table. However, once seated it took 15 minutes until anyone came to even offer us water. The staff appeared very harried- as if they were understaffed. The noise decibel level was very loud, making it difficult to hear our dinner companions. The food was outstanding. The linguine vongole was superb, as was the lasagna. However, the menu said that whole wheat pasta was available, but it wasn't the night we dined there. We would go again, but probably on a week night or if on a weekend, get there by 5:30 or 6 pm,"

"Delightful restaurant on the second floor in a shopping center, perhaps overlooked, but once you try it, you'll go again. Very nice atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. Not overcrowded; thus you can actually have a conversation over dinner. Food was very good and we didn't feel rushed. I have had both lunch and dinner there; both excellent."

"We were a big group (10) and we felt that everything went smooth and well. The staff had no problem when we asked to change the sitting, they fulfilled what we asked for when making the reservation and they had very good wine at a very reasonable price. We plan to go back!"

"Disappointing. Decor was pleasant, but not as expected.We were seated just inside the entrance where all diners and the traffic going to and from the kitchen passed us. We were not offered a wine list, don't even know if they had one. Two wines were listed at the bottom of the specials sheet. Waiter was obviously busy and vaguely attentive, never offered info on specials. My entre was shrimp w/linguine. The shrimp were over cooked to the point of being tough. My husband describeed his Veal Marsala as less than memorable. We had a reservation and the hostess did not record our arrival so we got a no show email from Open Table,which they have corrected and apologized for professionally. Will not return."

"My only complaint is that my friend's dish (lobster ravioli) only contained 4 small ravioli, which was way less than the portion size of the other entrees at the table. We understand that lobster is expensive, but that is no excuse for serving basically an appetizer as an entree. All of the food tasted very good and was presented nicely. I would go back, but I would warn people against ordering the lobster ravioli."

"The ambiance is perfect and the staff is pleasant and efficient. It does remind one of nice neighborhood spots in Europe.
The pasta is delicious and the shrimp and sauce provide a perfect addition. The house wine is affordable and very good. Recommend the scallops appetizer early in the experience and the tortuffo for desert.
It is a great value for the food and experience."

"We really like Capri, but our experience on Valentine's Day was not up to par. For the first part of our meal (8:30-9:00), it was very noisy--not something we'd usually associate with this restaurant. It seemed like they'd put in numerous additional tables just for that evening. Service was a little slow and not very warm or attentive. One of our waiters seemed a little miffed that he had to answer a question about the wine. We weren't even offered desert or coffee. My artichoke-heart salad was pretty tasteless. All this for a meal that was well over $100 for two.
We'll give Capri the benefit of the doubt and try it again when it's not Valentine's Day or New Year's Eve or something. But if we have a similar experience next time..."

"This was my first experience with this McLean eaterie. I thought is was good. The staff was friendly. The food was very good. I went to this restauarant for a small local place that was somewhat quiet. Maybe it was the "Friday Night Crowd" but it was not quiet. Several noisy groups and one birthday party caused the noise level to be a bit more than moderate. But all in all I would like to enjoy a meal at this restaurant again."
