"Our waiter Darryl was excellent, he made the moment very enjoyable for our large group. We had so many wait staff that we never wanted for anything. The food was excellent, the service was spectacular and overall exprience was fantastic. The only complaint from some of the group was the room was cold and we could never get the temperature just right. I would whole heartedly recommend this restaraunt and tell them to ask for Darryl as their waiter!"

"The service was spectacular. The busboy was great and offered us bottled water like it was a fine wine. Our server was LoraAnn who took care of us from the get go. She explained each dish in detail and follwoed up with us to ensure our meal went well. She also gave us a personal thank you note with our check. "Not impressed...especially for the price. It took them 2 times to get my filet mignon temperature correct and there was more gristle than I've ever had in a prime loin cut. The 16 oz strip steak was an even worse disappoinment. More that 1/2 of the steak was fat and gristle and the waiter did not offer to replace it or discount it. We will not go back."

"We went there for our 5th anniversary. We had never been there before so we looked forward to a special night out. I must say the overall service was fantastic. The server and manager bent over backwards to make us feel special. They were great. We ordered an appetizer, salad, filet and 2 sides. The best part was the appetizer and salad. Our steak was very ordinary even though the restaurant is supposed to be known for steaks. It was tougher than we expected and not seasoned well. I've had much better for a much cheaper price. And the chocolate cake we got for dessert was very dry. It was good for use to go once but we won't go back. The quality of food was not worth the price. I will not recommend this restaurant to my friends or family."

"My husband and I had our first date a Ruth's Chris so it always holds a special place in our hearts, and when we moved to St. Louis we were glad to find that there was one there too! We've been to this location a couple of times and are always pleased with the ambiance, service, and of course, the food.
Something unique about this location that I haven't seen at others, is they have live music on occasion in the bar area. We always make a reservation, but if you have some time to wait, this is a nice feature to pass the time, have a drink, and listen to music. The few times we've been there, the bands/artists have always been good and tasteful without interrupting the dining experience."

"Food rating- My husband prefers his steak prepared "pittsburgh rare", however many kitchens are unable to meet the criteria, a very hot flame to overly charr the outside while the inside remains cold . Not a problem at Ruth Chris- perfect. My medium rare steak , sweet potato casserole, the "girly drinks" suggested by the bar and the very- very chocolate cake were absolutely wonderful.
Ambience rating- We ate at Ruth Chris for Valentines Day therefore it was very busy and noisy. To meet demand the usual tables were swapped out with much smaller ones (too small).

"We were first time diners. Our seat was perfect as well as our service. Elaine explained how everything was served, answered every question, recommended delicious options, and accommodated our every need. Sociable while maintaining professionalism. Tamer was an excellent assistant. Didn't have to ask for the essentials. The entire evening was perfect. We also noticed how every employee was moving, cleaning, helping. It's rare to see that kind of work ethic and team work. Food was good. Ordered Kobe filed it was good, but I couldn't tell the difference between Kobe and prime filet. Absolutely perfect medium rare. Best I've ever rdered. Creamed spinach, not very good. Lobster Voodoo was outstanding! We will be returning and recommending."

"The service was outstanding. Our server, Brent, was very friendly and patient. We went during Clayton Restaurant week. We had drinks and appetizers and the service was very attentive. When we ordered the restarunt week special my wife kidded Brent that he must be a little disapointed (since the 3 course meal was $25). He said not to worry as his job was to make sure that we had an outstanding experiense, which we did. The filet was well cooked and flavorful. This was another example of how the difference between a good dining experience and a great dining experience is the attentiveness and enthusiasm of the server."
