Botticelli's
Botticelli’s South Congress is a fun and tasty Italian restaurant located in the heart of the exciting "SOCO" district. Botticelli's serves fresh and delicious Italian food combining old family recipes with new, inventive ones. Andrew and Matt Botticelli are the proud owners and are made even more proud by the food that Botticelli's delivers through its amazing staff. There are both an intimate dining room up front and a large beautiful beer garden out back, where there is live music Thursday through Saturday night. Full menu is available inside or out and at either bar. Look forward to seeing you soon.

"Place was packed but the food and service was great and there was no rush to turn the table over. You can always count on Botticelli's for a great meal. On this visit we started with the mussels which where large and very flavorful followed by the Caesar salad and finished with the butternut squash raviolis and a side of the Italian sausage, if you never tried the sausage you should its spicy and very flavorful. The wine list though not extensive but it is very good, with selections that should satisfy anyone's desires and the staff is very knowledgeable."

"It's probably hard to find a "quiet" restaurant in the SoCo area, but the noise level was off the charts (all tables are more or less directly next to the bar so it's to be expected). Despite this, the food was excellent and the service was also solid (albeit a little slow -- again, it was busy). The wine list contained wines we'd never heard of -- all Italian. However, our knowledgeable server recommended a few and they were fantastic! A definite recommend BUT try to get a table outdoors (if possible). Inside is a little cramped and very loud."

"Boticelli's has always been one of my favorite restaurants and I recommend it whenever possible. I years past everything was universally stellar but this trip had a few speed bumps. Caesar salad was good but missing the flavor of anchovies and was the size of a side salad. And I've never understood the thinking behind leaving the Romaine leaves whole. I prefer to start the meal with less effort. Flavor of clams in vodka tomato cream sauce was stellar but the clams hadn't been purged thoroughly and I had grit in almost every bite. My husband loved the mussels. The appetizer portion of mussels was very generous and they were delicious! I would love to try the clam entree again and am hoping the purging issue is resolved."

"Good food but pricey for the quality. Our waitress spent much more time on her regulars than us and seldom checked on us. Small place with a nice looking ceiling and great lighting which could mean pure romance were it not the above mentioned and the fact that there was an extremely loud table within arm's reach. There is potential here but at $60 without the overpriced wine considered, my usual Italian chain restaurant is a better fit for a nice night out."

"What a great restaurant! The menu had me excited before we even got there. I was immediatly attracted to several choices and so would recommend looking it up ahead of time to make a decision (although, any choice is the right choice at Botticelli's!). Located at the midway point on South Congress makes parking and walking an enjoyable prelude to the venue, but don't think Botticelli's blends in... it stands out like a masterpiece statue.
But the food is the main attraction here. Everything was perfect 10 wonderful (even the scallops, which I don't care for normally). Each entre and its accompanied sides blend perfect together for the best food I've ever had.

The lasagna of the day was delicious, the halibut was good, and the chocolate bomb dessert was amazing.
By 8:00 pm, the noise level was ridiculous. We could hardly hear each other over the din! The level of service dropped sharply as the restaurant got busier. I understand that happens on a busy weekend night. We wanted to leave quickly once the noise became unbearable and it took over 15 min. to get our check and get out."

"The food and atmosphere were great! I don't normally order lasagna out because the usually ricotta it to death. But they had a braised short rib and Italian sausage special that I couldn't resist and was over the top great. We hosted two couples from NYC and my daughter from Dallas who were in for SXSW. Everyone loved it. Glad we found it and we are sure to return soon."

"I can't say enough about how incredibly special our evening was. We went there to celebrate after my niece's 4th open heart surgery (she's 15). Matt B and his staff treated us like royalty. My niece had a tour of the kitchen and was brought a special and amazing surprise of scallops -- just because.
The energy, passion and attention the Botticelli's team places into all they do is amazing. We all had fantastic dinners -- and left stuffed! Real portions -- not little fancy 'tiny' foodie plates! The pork is off the charts btw!"

"My son's 16th birthday. And he chose Botticelli's! Good for elegant and/or fun dining. Something for every pallet. Staff flexible, engaging (teased him about was it 16 or 21?), made us all feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend for elegant date or nice family dinner."

"Both the food and the service were great! We had the pesto chicken with brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious! My only complaint was how tight the tables seemed to be. Our romantic date night was somewhat inhibited by the feeling that we were eating with the tables next to us because they were so close together. I don't remember if they were all this way or just the tables in the area where we were seated."
