EMM Group breathes new life into the traditional midtown power lunch, abandoning the old school model of formal white tablecloths for a bustling, bistro-like experience better suited for the new wave of modern Manhattan diners. Stripped of pomp and circumstance, the Lexington Brass design is spacious but edgy, emoting an air of casual refinement. Full of plush seating and natural light, Lexington Brass features top notch service and a simple menu of bistro favorites that, for the weary traveler or overworked Manhattanite, will feel reminiscent of home. Unlike the blink-and-you-might-miss-it boites of lower Manhattan, Lexington Brass and its gleaming façade of floor-to-ceiling windows ushers in a new business backdrop where this generation of New York City minds and moguls break bread while breaking up the day, enjoying Lobster Mac n Cheese, Deviled Eggs, French Onion Soup, and Braised Short Ribs.
"Staff are great- it's a well run place with friendly and professional staff who really know why they're doing, awesome food. The tuna burger is so good it's hard for me to resist whenever I go there. Nice specials but not too many. They keep it simple, fresh ingredients and great service. Excellent for business breakfasts and lunches, haven't checked it out in the evenings. Good restaurants are hard to come by in this area so its no surprise that this place is so popular. Recommended."

"The service was soooo slow we could not imagine it. Even for NY, the prices are insane - $17 for 1 pancake? Eggs were awful and overcooked. Would never go back"

"Lexington Brass had a really interesting selection on their limited menu, exciting flavors you wouldn't really see to together. The bar was busy for "Happy Hour" and then the restaurant filled up quickly at dinner time; I would recommend making a reservation. Wait staff was very helpful and friendly. And the specialty cocktails were delicious!! Definately worth checking out."

"Food was very good, I liked the space. Service was spotty and seemed really understaffed. My biggest issue was the service. We arrived 15 minutes early and had to wait for our scheduled reservation despite open tables, we were seated 4" from our neighbors on both sides and our waitor was just ok. During my meal your bus boy banged into my neighbor and lost a wine glass, which dropped broke and completely shattered sparying my jacket with wine and covering my entire seating area with broken glass. Mistakes happen...however not a single person checked in on me or appologized (including the bus boy). The diner next to me got up and helped to clear the broken glass off and away from me. I probably will not return."

"Very cute restaurant. Got the tasting menu to split between four - loved that they brought a bottle of champagne for you to mix with your choice of three mixers. However, we had a child under 21 as well, who would have been fine drinking some of the mixers, yet when the waitress asked if we wanted another glass of juice for her, we said yes, assuming it must be included, since we clearly could have given her some of the mixer juice. Wrong - $5!
Food was okay - wish they'd have listed out exactly what was on the tasting menu before we ordered, cause I think we may not have done it. We asked, but the waitress only mentioned a few things when she spoke about it. Food was mediocre, some dishes were definitely better than others."

"I ordered their signature dish: poached eggs in avocado. I had to return it twice!!!! I changed it to regular over easy eggs. The staff were all very nice and apologetic and they comped me on my breakfast. I still paid for my son's breakfast."

"Went for brunch and we were seated next to an over-filled table of friends of the staff. Constantly during our meal staff members were squeezing by us to talk to their friends, sit with them, getting in our way of enjoying our meals. We had to constantly shield our water and drink glasses from being knocked over by people's behinds on their way by. This continued even after we mentioned it to our waiter, who assured us it wouldn't happen again. Unprofessional. Wouldn't go back for the price of the food. Better options around, even in that neighborhood."

"Took my sister, aunt and cousin to Lexington Brass for Brunch on Saturday. The hostess was friendly and greeted me right as I arrived. We didnt have to wait for the whole party to arrive before being seated. Our waiter was charming and attentive. I got the waffles and they were delectable. I think everyone cleaned their plates. I did not indulge in it, but they have a really great "Create Your Own Bloody Mary Bar". Overall, really enjoyed it."

"Very lively restaurant. You would not know it is connected to a Hyatt. Be aware restaurant is not large and the bar is directly in the middle and it was packed and loud on the Wednesday evening. Service was very good and the food also very good. Not recommended as a place to bring children for dinner. We observed the hostess recommend a nearby restaurant to two families who were walkin's. You definitely want a reservation!"

"Very relaxed atmosphere, big windows and lots of natural light in the daytime. We went for Sunday brunch and were amazed at how quickly they brought out the food! Everything was better than we expected (maybe we had low expectations for a hotel restaurant?) -- tasty fried chicken and waffles, warm jelly donuts, not-too-sweet French toast, perfect steak and eggs, etc. Our server was cheerful and friendly."

"While the food was great, the service was horrible! Our waiter, Brad, was dismissive, rude and unattentive. Drinks arrived in the middle of our meal; I've never seen iced coffee take this long. We asked about its whereabouts twice and the restaurant wasn't even busy. We ordered a side of sausages which arrived at the end of the meal. The waiter was throwing items instead of placing them down. I've had better service at diners in the middle of nowhere. I do not recommend this restaurant on the service alone - not worth it!"

"Overrated, We went for breakfast. Server was condescending. The pancakes were extremely thick and bready. Never saw pancakes like that before. They ration the syrup like they were siphoning it from a tree in the back. When we asked for more syrup, we asked if this small amount is the amount they always give with their (bready) pancakes. Her response was "well you know this is really good syrup". As if to say we don't give much because its expensive. They're a wannabee restaurant. Will not recommmend or go back."

"Awful. Never go there. We eat all over the city and this was a real dud
My frittata was all onion. My husbands tuna burger was well done (supposed to be rare). Server never once came by. And on top of all that it was relatively expensive.
Skip this place!"

"Seems to be a good bar scene and great for groups, especially the large booths. However, food was mediocre. Fried appetizers ok but nicoise salad was pathetic - 3 measly pieces of seared tuna, small pile of greens, old hard boiled egg, 2 cherry tomatoes and no potatoes or green beans - for a $20+! Barely worthy of an appetizer, never mind entree!"

"Great spot for brunch in midtown. The wait staff is dressed in cool attire, and they were just as cool as they looked. I love the coffee here and the egg white omelette was good, but would like to see more varieties for omelette- maybe something to reflect the French brasserie decor- such as an egg white ratatouille! Price is reasonable, especially if you're looking to get out of the hotel brunch scene."

"This restaurant was not worth the Bloomspot certificate that myself and four friends purchased for an afternoon get away. The 4th member of my party was running late and the restaurant offered to seat us anyway as they were not too busy, however rather than just letting us sitting with drinks while waiting, the food was brought out automatically and the service did no offer to hold the food or listening when we asked them too.
The entire space was too small to accommodate the food that was appearing on the table. With all the food out, there wasn't any room on the table to actually eat any of it in a civilized manner. It was a disaster and I will not be returning to this establishment. There are much better places for brunch in NYC."

"I have been here for brunch twice now with a group of friends. Their $50/2 people or $85/4 people brunch is out of this world. The brunch includes five courses and champagne. You are full for the day if you manage to get through it all. Really a festive energetic place and a great band for you buck. Definitely reserve beforehand."

"Great menu - tons of appetizing choices. Raw bar was excellent - shrimp cocktail was steakhouse caliber! Salmon entree and scallops with miso sweet potato puree was unique and delicious. Kale salad was the only dish we had that seemed better on the menu than it actually tasted"

"While we don't normally venture into Midtown for dinner, I had a Gilt City certificate and decided to give the EMM group a chance. My girlfriend and I were both a bit skeptical and were totally surprised at the great experience we had. We started with delicious cocktails at the bar, then proceeded to a dark table where we enjoyed a tasty bottle of red, and some appetizers and entrees. The tuna tartare tacos and east coast oysters were both delicious, as was the Lamb entree. Service was very helpful and prompt."

"I've dined at Lexington Brass a handful to times and while I love the decor and ambiance of the space, the service falls short and the food is overpriced for what is delivered to your plate... $14 for an egg scramble (even in NYC) is outrageous. If you ever make a substitution... fruit over salad... it will somehow come out wrong - they'll bring both or neither. Has happened every time I've dined there. The waiters are attentive, but not accurate. Drinks and coffee are also weak. Chicken and biscuits are delicious. Overall I probably would not return."

"My dish, scallops, was so small and so expensive! Funniest part is the scallops were sliced so I couldnt tell how many were served but I would guess 3 maybe 4 at most. At $36 I felt ripped off. This place could be a gem but was not tasty, filling, or fun."

"Too loud and while the last time service was great it usually very hectic with food and water spilling on the table. Cocktails tend to be too sweet or too bland and watered down without a great selection. If my office was not close I would not come here."
