"Hadn't been at this restaurant in a while -- seems like the menu has changed to more of a steak & seafood restaurant and it's very good. Great options and reasonable prices for fixed price pre-theatre menu. Their famous lobster soup with the puff pastry "hat" is very tasty."

"Good food and service. Not a place for conversation. You can hear talk from other tables that you do not want to hear, but can't hear and be heard by your partner."

"I was entertaining family and friends who visited from N.Y.C during May 23-25 2013. I decided to take them to Fred's Not Here after reading up on reviews others posted about this restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, great drinks...great EVERYTHING!!! New Yorkers know their food and to hear that they were completely satisfied made me proud of our beautiful city. Yes we were loud, being Latino it's our nature but our server joined in the fun. Thank for everything. I will most definitely come back and tell everyone about this place :)"

"Two restauraunts in one. Freds upstairs and Red Tomatoe upstairs. We were there on a Monday and the two shared menues. Freds is steaks and such, Reds is small plates. Downstairs bar has happy hour specials. Great spot right on King St. Small outside dining area."

"Felt like a bit of a tourist trap. Food was good but certainly not worth what they charge. Desserts were a complete let down. Highlight was our waiter who was great, but I would look for other options in the theatre district."

"Went here on a rainy SUnday night... seated right away, first drink arrived quickly then the service seemed to fade away. It looked like the waitress was overwhelmed, she sure wasn't at my table very often. Food... dry aged steak... rather tough. The flavor in places was great, but it was some work to chew it. A little disappointed in this place."

"Excellent restaurant, plus you can't beat the value! Great food at a great price; you'll definitely feel like your money was well spent. You have to have the lobster soup! It's delicious! Overall, Fred's Not Here is one of the best restaurants in Toronto!"

"This was my first experience with Open Table -- and with Fred's Not Here. I must admit that it was friends that told me about Fred's when they found out that I was taking a business associate out for dinner and she preferred either Fish or Steak -- they said that I would not be disappointed with Fred's Not Here -- and they were correct! I had the Blackened Salmon and she had the Halibut -- we ate every morsel.
Open Table made making the reservation easier that I could imagine -- thank you for supplying such a great service -- I often leave making a reservation until the last minute -- and then have to call the restaurant and be put on hold.... this took away all of the brain damage."

"Fred's Not Here is an unremarkable restaurant. The decor, food, service and ambiance are all just okay. Nothing really much to complain about except the price which is higher than the aforementioned rating would warrant. Expect to spend about $50.00 per person and add about $50.00 for a relatively low end bottle of wine ($18.00 at LCBO) from their rather limited list. Meh."
