Classic Japanese cuisine in a fun, modern neighborhood restaurant. Our menu features fresh, authentic and traditional Japanese foods. In addition to sushi and robata, the menu includes a substantial selection of noodles including different varieties of udon, soba and ramen.
"I have been craving real ramen so my family and I went to Masu. Their menu had a variety of delicious entrees and sushi. The pork belly ramen was amazing along with the ebi yakisoba. Would definitely return."

"Food was over all very good. Grilled vegetables were a little disappointing though- it was as if the cooks just threw them on the grill for a while and pronounced them "done" without any concept of what that would mean except for having a few grill marks. The restaurant was way too loud- it would have been loud anyway without the addition of loud music. I can understand this for the bar, but for the rest of the restaurant it made it next to impossible to carry on a conversation and was generally unpleasant."

"Overall enjoyable food, however, service started out good but deteriorated as the evenign progressed. Server forgot our beverages and the second round of sushi took so long that we cancelled the order. Server apologized"

"The food was amazing. Had 4 rolls, Chicken Teriyaki, California, Crunch Spicy Tuna and the Dynamite; all delicious. The decor was interesting and added to the experience, but the noise was higher than usual. May have been the acoustics of where we were sitting or the fact that it was a Saturday night, but it was difficult to hear one another from time to time. I love the restaurant and will go again in the future."

"I've never been to this place before, but I love sushi and Japanese cuisine in general. It was nice to have plenty of options and get great service. It was slightly noisy due to a couple kids, however the restaurant is bustling around 6PM anyway. Overall, I recommend this to anyone that is looking for something slightly unique!"

"It was the 1st time that my fiance tried the robata and everything that we had was delicious. The sushi was perfect (I had the Masu Roll and she had a roll with arctic char). The Masu roll has to be one of the best rolls I've ever had. Ever. I would recommend this place to people who are wary of sushi and who are sushi devotees. We'll be going back sooner than later."

"When it was first opened, the ramen broth was great. It has been getting mediocre since then, I ordered it again today and the broth was bland. This place is still great to go for sushi and robata. However if one craves for ramen, head over to Zenbox Izakaya."

"Food is excellent, decor is quite interesting but in a good way, service was a bit slow for it only being a Thursday evening but not unacceptable. I'd recommend trying Masu out!"

"I am an extreme lover of sushi, and this place never disappoints. The happy hour menu is such a deal, and definitely try the robata. The chicken meat ball is my favorite. Awesome service and the patio seating was nice, however, it was loud due to traffic. Didn't stop me from enjoying yet another meal at Masu. Go there!"

"Our favorite spot these days. Ben, Dan and Asan all do a great job (as does the other "roll guys and wait staff.) We always try to sit at the bar and enjoy watching what goes on with the sushi assembly. Great place, great food and the workers seem to enjoy their job. Must be well managed."

"We tried Masu for an anniversary dinner, and had a love-hate reaction to the experience. Loved: amazing veggie tempura, great Wellfleet oysters (says aficionado spouse), interesting flight of 3 sakes, and 3 delicious kinds of sushi rolls - mackerel, salmon and crab. Friendly, excellent waiter.
Hated: Bad for romance. NOISY! All hard surfaces, loud yet un-hearable music. Mentioned anniversary in online reservation - no mention of that, when other restaurants will do lovely things. We were seated in hard, high uncomfortable chairs near the stupid pinball games, with people knocking into me as they squeezed in to play/watch. I'd love to try more of their offerings but don't want to brave the hyperuberhipness to get it."

"We ordered the 7 piece sashimi appetizer; each piece was a different kind of fish, which was a good way to be introduced to sashimi. We also ordered the spicy tuna roll, the firecracker roll, and the crunchy spicy salmon roll; the firecracker was our favorite. We had a 12 oz carafe of "house in the snow" sake, which was mildly sweet. Being new to sake, we were surprised at how strong it is. Service seemed a bit slow, and the price was higher than I'd usually pay (3 sushi rolls, 1 appetizer, 12 oz of sake = about $87) but the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was good. For a special occasion, I would love to go again."

"We love Masu. It's just the perfect place for a great weekend night out. There's only one thing - they've got to do something about adding a double door entrance. It's unpleasantly cold at the tables nearest the entrance. Not sure why they haven't already addressed this."

"The food was underwhelming, but still good overall. The service was incredibly poor, however. We were treated rudely, and the appetizer arrived after our entrees despite ordering it with our drinks when we arrived."

"This was our second visit to Masu and we enjoyed it again. The dishes and small plates to share are perfect. Flavors are great and variety is good, especially for vegetarians and pescaterians. Our server was friendly and attentive and offered some suggestions. Will return but probably will pick a different time as the noise level made it impossible to talk/hear!!!"

"Very good sushi... Good service. Fun, informal environment, but fairly busy/noisy. Nice place to hang out with buddies/first date maybe, not so much "romantic night out" material (too much going on)."

"We had a very nice evening. The food presentation was very nice, The variety on the menu was just wide enough and of course the taste of the food was excellent. We tried a couple of the sakis and they were excellent. Very good selection. Our waiter when at the table was very knowlgeable and friendly. He was very busy so hard together a hold of in between delivery of food to our table. The atmosphere was okay, nothing special nor distracting."

"Had an awesome lunch at Masu. It was not very crowded and the server was not only incredibly attentive but also very knowledgable, taking me through the various options on the lunch menu and making terrific recommendations. LOVED the Poke roll. Lunch was extremely good value and the food was fresh, delicious and beautiful to look at. This is definitely my go-to for sushi and robata in the TC and at lunch it was exceptional"

"Lot of energy and interesting style. Good mix of sushi and non-sushi items that are both good if you have a group that's not all sushi lovers. The atmosphere is not quiet so don't expect romantic whispered conversations. Extensive sake menu that has something for everyone, including the non-sake lover."

"The appetizers were very good and the drinks creative. My entree, Korean ribs and Kimchee, was a little tough and the Kimchee VERY hot. the food was a good value. Lots of small plates to choose. The service was erratic. Two of five received part of their entre while the rest of us sat for quite a while waiting for our food; awkward. It is a very extensive menu so the wait staff had to do a lot of explaining at every table. Bar was busy with 'yuppies' even on a Sunday night. While we expected it to be rather special occasion and zenlike it was much more family style restaurant than we expected."
