"I hate to let everyone in on this little secret as this is a small restaurant located upstairs in a tiny strip mall. I like being able to get in when I want as I live in the neighborhood. Unfortunately I would be doing you and the restaurant a dis-service if I did not let everyone know how great the food and service. It is romantic in it's simplicity. It has a very nice patio that looks down onto the street but in some strange way is very nice. Make no mistake, you come to this restaurant for the food, the service and the wine selection. They make you feel special. Enjoy."

"We had gone to this restaurant because of the Zagat rating and to celebrate a birthday. We were disappointed. The food was good, but not great. The wine listed on the wine list that I wanted was not available. The suggested substitution was okay. We did not feel that this restaurant deserved as high a Zagat rating as it has. If you'd like a nice meal at a low key place, this would satisfy."

"I live locally and heard about this restaurant on several occasions so I finally tried it. It was all just ok and definitely not worth the money. There are many places I could have gone for much better ambiance, food, location, atmosphere and price!"

"Food was tasty, we would definitely go again. It is on the second floor with an outdoor balcony and a fire-pit. A standing room only wine tasting was going on the evening we visited that really looked like fun at a great price."

"Overall solid experience. But way too expensive for what it is. Service and the atmosphere were fantastic. The food would need to be a stand out though to warrant the cost. If the prices were 20-25% less would be 5 stars, as our expectations on the food would come down s bit. But given the bill we felt unsatisfied at the end of the meal."

"Good and not so good ! Fantastic pork chop with mushrooms cooked perfectly with a mustard sauce the waiter said took 3 days to make. Mushroom crostini bread really thick and soft but mushrooms good . Had artichoke salad was not so good . Had to ask lemon and oil otherwise so tough could not eat it. Only 1 waiter and busboy forgot to check us in on open table . Had to go searching for the waiter ant one point .The night we went only 5 people in the whole restaurant."

"we were surprised that it was so empty as the food was really very good - maybe it was just the day of the week or the location (upstairs) - we hope it stays in business and hope location is not doing it in"

"This small restaurant is on the 2nd floor of a mini-mall. There is seating on the balcony, but it was too cold for us to use. The service was good. Our server was attentive and pleasant-always had a smile, our orders were correct, he told us the specials. There is only one reason I would not eat there again-the food is average; not bad, but not noteworthy in any way (except for the dessert). They have a decent wine list and the prices are good. The items on the menu sounded good, but both I and my friend found our selections to be bland. She ordered a risotto and I ordered a pasta. They do not have diet soda - only Italian sodas. The cheese plate was okay. Dessert was the best of all. A delicious almond/fig tart with gelato."

"Had a lovely dinner but just a few hitches. I requested a quiet corner booth, which was available when we arrived and still empty when we left - but we were seated in their extra dining area which can be a bit noisy. This was unusual as they usually honor my request for a quiet table. By 8:00pm they had already run out of the scallop appetizer which I was planning on for my dinner. The food was lovely as usual - baby artichoke salad and squash soup were wonderful, however the soup bowl had two huge chips out of it. We loved the pappardelle ragu, short rib and NY steak (which is served thinly sliced and was exactly medium rare, as requested.)Unfortunatly, the spinach side lacked flavor. They have developed a very nice wine list!!"

"Three of us tried the restaurant first time during Dining Out LA. The Seabass and Lamb Shank were excellent. Had a Sardinian white wine recommended by the owner-excellent with both entrees. First course and dessert were all enjoyed. Recommended."

"It was loud in the small separate room. Food was so/so....it wasn't too flavorful. The scallop appetizer was the best dish at the table....voted by three.."

"Their regular menu is on the smaller side, but the dishes they prepare are quite good. Good enough to go back for sure. I have had the burrata and prosciutto there before and its very nice.
However, this one time was sadly disappointing. The last time I was there, I had a veal chop (special)and raved that it was the best I've had. Presentation was a long "clean" bone with perfect portion of veal at the end that tasted perfect. Mosto was amazing to save me and my dad 2 chops so they didn't sell out. But, it wasn't the same presentation or chop. I'm happy to pay $32 for a chop, but mine was tiny and noticeably smaller than my dad's. Taste was good, but it was simply not "excellent" as it used to be."
