Regional is an Italian restaurant specializing in THE CUISINE OF THE MANY REGIONS OF Italy. Every single one of the 20 regions that comprise the Italian territory are represented with 1 or more recipes on our menu. We feature a wine list of about 50 all Italian wines(red white sparkling)and a full bar(seats 16) with a great small tapas menus.
Other features are a great weekend brunch(anything from sandwiches to omelettes, burgers to pancakes). Our Chef PierLuigi Sacchetti has cooked in many hot spots in the city.
"Took my sons to Regional after a friend who lives locally recommended it. What a fabulous meal! Highly recommend the Strozzapreti Al Ragú Di Vitello (Emilia Romagna). So good we ordered an extra entree after we finished ours our meal and shared it between the three of us."

"We were 9 people for dinner, sat at the bar while we waited for our table, good martinis, good shirley temples and a funny friendly bartender. The seated us at the only big table way at the back which was kind of off putting as the restaurant wasn't that crowded but the friendly efficient wait staff and delicious food made us forget our pique. Will definitely return and recommend."

"Although the good was very good the service was terrible. There were several complaints about a specific waiter and the managers response was "If I speak to him the attitude will get worse, but he is a pain in the a..". Really? This is how you solve problems?"

"Nice local find with dishes from various regions of Italy. Wed. night, bottles of house wines are half off--a decent chianti for $15.00! Pastas were good and the beef carpaccio was one of the freshest, best dressed versions I've ever had. Service was "off"--Long wait for waiter to take our dinner order and no offer of cocktails or a glass of wine until we asked for it when he took our dinner order. But all in all, I'll be going back!"

"Bad start: despite confirmed reservation, hostess had no table and actually moved another diner (who was disgruntled). Room is very noisy. We waited forever for a waiter & he forgot to deliver one of the drinks -- one of our party had to go to the bar to remind the bartender. OK, it's informal, but that was ridiculous. Food was mixed: beet salad featured canned beets (Really?) and limp supermarket mesclun. Linguine alle vongole was too long under the heat lamps. But melanzane alla parmigiana was excellent and the coffee panna cotta was sublime."

"We went to Regional on Saturday evening. In the front there was an exceedingly loud group of people ... screaming, clapping etc. The restaurant has no wall coverings to dampen the sound.
The noise was painful, and everyone else in the restaurant was greatly disturbed, yet the staff chose to do nothing about it, despite numerous complaints. So 12 people ruined the experience of everyone else.
When we complained, the manager simply grimaced and agreed, but didn't speak to the table. Even rude people can quiet down if asked; Regional chose to give them priority."

"This was our first time at Regional, and we went there on friend recommendation. The menu is full of great regional Italian pasta dishes that are all reasonably priced. The orecchiette was excellent! The bread is amazing and the service very good. I loved the atmosphere here....very friendly, almost bar-like but much nicer. The food was prepared perfectly, not overcooked or too al dente. I am looking forward to coming back and trying a different dish from another region."

"A pleasant neighborhood restaurant. The food is not particularly creative or special, but the tables are not too close together and one is able to converse. The prices are reasonable and they offer great specials early in the week."

"For all the negative talk on Yelp, all of which seems to revolve around how many free Mimosas can be consumed at brunch, we had a very nice dinner here. Every item was good and we were especially impressed with the Caprese Salad and it's excellent Mozzarella. The Fritto Misto was very good as were our pastas. It was almost too much food to eat! And you cannot beat the prices."

"We happened to go on a Monday and discovered that Monday is Pasta Night--all pastas on the menu $9, rather than $14 and up. It was the best inexpensive meal we've had in a long time. The wait staff were very solicitous. We had great time."

"We were a table of nine on a Saturday night, and new to Regional, though we'd walked past dozens of times. The exterior is forbidding, interior maybe a little bleak, but the food is fabulous and the service so warm! Started with two plates of salume, to die for, and very generous even with hungry young men eating. WInes were very nice, from an interesting list. Special pastas included a home made spaghetti with shellfish (fabulous) and giant rigatoni with burratta and tomato, also terrific. Our server was sparkly and charming and helpful. A terrific evening."

"The hostess was obviously overworked. She seemed frazzled as she ran from table to table, shouting at us, "just a minute!" We had a reservation for 1:30, but we weren't seated until 2:10. That being said, my eggs and steak brunch was pretty good. The endless mimosas were fantastic :) I'll probably go back, but only on a day when I have no other plans."
