"The food was very good but the bar service was very bad...We ordered martinis...it took 20 minutes to get us the drinks and they were delivered without olives and in brandy snifter glasses...The bottle of wine we ordered had to be sent back because the bartender had given the server the wrong bottle...not a huge deal but after the drinks mistake I was leery. The treatment of the members of our party with birthdays was great...however when I am paying this kind of money for a meal I expect 5 star service...and we did not get that. This was my second trip to Watermark and the service has been below my expectations on both occasions."

"Too many flavors on one dish; interupted the flavor of the meat they were trying to finnish. Appetizer were oysters served with vinager and onions instead of any resemblence of cocktail sauce. Very undelightful combination. Filet was tough and flavor too spicey; lost base flavor. Cocktail ~ Cosmopolitan~ had too much cranberry. We were place in main enterance hallway, and there was too much traffic. Used OpenTable to book and they were allerted accordingly, but felt we were placed in a "biginners" table and not romantic."

"Watermark delivered chic southern food that did not disappoint. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere allowed us to enjoy one another's company without trying to compete with background noise. Great restaurant for a special occasion that has no pretenses about it."

"Delightful celebratory dinner experience. It was our daughter's birthday and the restaurant presented her with a birthday card and gift card for future use...nice touch and pleasant surprise. Food for all four of us was OUTSTANDING and enjoyed by all. Desert for my daughter presented on a plate with chocolate Happy Birthday wish from the kitchen. Waiter (Eric) was superb in his manner and attention to our needs with great tableside personality. Wonderful evening had by all!"

"Outstanding restaurant. The Grits Soufflé is a truly unique appetizer you absolutely must try if you plan on eating at Watermark. I took my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner, and to say she was happy about the experience was an understatement. Our waitress was truly knowledgeable about the wine list, and helped us select the correct wine for our entrees."

"First time to visit Watermark and we were impressed. We went for Valentine's dinner. It was a preset 3 course menu with wine pairings. The choices were varied and I had a hard time choosing my entree. The overall setting was very romantic with low lights and live music. It was a bit expensive, but it was a special occasion. We will go back for a non special occasion so we can order off the regular menu."

"The grit souffle was really excellent as was my pork belly appetizer. The selection of wines by the glass was very limited and neither of us liked our wine very much (we tried a total of three reds, having sent back one of the first two glasses). We also enjoyed our cheese plate although it was pretty average for a restaurant in that price range.
Salmon and beef fillet entrees were good. The risotto that came with the salmon was very well executed I thought. The salmon was well-cooked and simple but a bit salty for my taste.
The space was very large and open - sort of spare and "business-like". It didn't get in the way of our experience, but nothing to write home about.
Decent place, but Flyte is way better."

"Fantastic! We ordered two meals and mentioned that we would be sharing both in passing. The sign of a good restaurant is when they heard that and took the initiative to split both entrees in advance and bring each guest two plates (1/2 of each entree). Also, there was a mishap when we sat in the booth. The tablecloth was lying on the booth, and when my friend sat down, she sat on the tablecloth and pulled it towards her. This sent both drinks - a martini and glass of wine - tumbling over. The wait staff quickly changed the tablecloth and table settings, and the bartender quickly re-made our drinks for both of us (at no charge). We will definitely come back!"

"Food was usual high quality. Wine and beverage service was slow. Wine arrived late and not cold. Tried to salvage the wine but out of sync with the food. Nothing worse than getting your food and waiting on wine. Provided complimentary desserts as offset. Nice attempt but definitely not a good wine experience."

"The food and table service were both top notch. The ambiance left something to be desired though. Many tables are arranged with long bench seating on one wall and tables very closely spaced so that you are about 2 feet away from other guests on each side of you. This put a damper on conversation. Would be fine for a group though.

The biggest issue we had was the horrible bar service. The bartender would not even make eye contact with us for about 25 minutes when he finally got around to asking us if we would like anything. He was very busy, but not communicating in any way left a black mark on the evening which took a while to diminish."

"I took several business colleagues for dinner. We enjoyed our meal. The braised pork belly was delicious! The waiter suggest we try the halibut, which was nicely prepared and tasted extremely fresh. The menu is simple and fresh. Nice choice for a business dinner."

"The noise level on Wednesday, February 10, was almost unbearable. It ruined a very nice dining experience for 7 ladies visiting from Atlanta and Bowling Green. We were sitting at a nice round table, but it was very difficult to communicate with the person sitting right next to you let alone across the table. I will not bring my visiting group there again and it has nothing to do with the food which was nicely prepared and presented."

"I took my boyfriend here for New Year's Eve recently. We did their prix fixe menu with wine pairings. This was my 1st experience dining here. It was fairly loud and busy and service was spotty but I will chalk that up to the holiday. The boar was delicious, crab bisque was ok. I had the filet for my main course which I ordered medium rare. It was overcooked with just a hint of pink in the center. I sent it back and the second one was just a shade more pink. I gave up at that point. The meat was good just overly done for my taste. The pear tart for dessert was a little sweet or maybe it was the pairing with the pear liquor. Overall it was pretty good but I have had much better dining experiences that cost less than the $300."

"This was our first time to dine there (had baeen just to the bar before), we had out of town guests and we were all vey happily impressed with the whole New Year's Eve dinner. They were very prompt, food was delicious and prepared the way we asked for, service was impeccable, jazz group playinga was a nice addition. Atmosphere is very romantic, upscale but not overly so to intimidate. Will definitely want to go back when it is not a prix fixe menu since this was New Year's Eve. Bartenders in Bar seem to need a little more experience but very friendly and accomodating."

"The service was outstnading, best service that I've ever had. She anticipated what we need to share our appetizers and brought us extra plates. "We had a birthday dinner here and were running a little late. The restaurant was very accomodating with our reservation and made the evening very special for all of us. The food was unfailingly delectable, the service was outstanding and the ambience was lovely. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time and we recommend it wholeheartedly. (We had two older children in our party and the chef prepared a modified version of one of the dishes that was perfect for them, but still of outstanding quality.)"

"Our group of 7 had a lovely evening. The food gets a mixed review. We tried the oysters rockefeller and crab salad and both were disappointing. The char was delicious and some who had steak were very pleased and some were not, overcooked or too much fat on the bone-in rib eye. The bread selection was very nice and overall we had an enjoyable evening."
