Our name is a tribute to the eccentric and hospitable character of Doug Schantz's great grandmother. The welcoming and inclusive spirit of Nellie's Sports Bar is reflective of the lady who loved to entertain. Nellie's is unique because we are locally owned; serve as a meeting place for local amateur sports teams; feature an expansive rooftop deck with its own bar and amazing views; feature ten flat-panel TVs, a stadium-sized screen, and 3 distinct bars; serve a wide variety of food, including Nellie's-style lighter fare; Nellie's food portions are customizable for one person or the entire team; host a variety of distinctive special events; free WiFi; authentic Griffith Stadium sinks; antique showcases and historic photographs; elegant English pub room walls, stained-glass and back bar mirrors; eighteenth-century lighting fixtures from the Baltimore's Penn Station; unique signage, such as our "OPEN" sign and our vintage scoreboard

"I was with a party of 13 for the Mother's Day Drag Brunch and yes my 76 year old mother was in attendance with 4 of her girlfriends, all were mother's accompanied by their children. Everyone had a great time and everyone is planning to go back with friends."

"I am not sure if I should start with the food, service or entertainment. Unforgettable experience that I wish I could experience everyday. Brunch is an understatement. The variety of food coupled with the quality and taste of food was amazing. Waffle guy, you rock! The servers were a team and never said, "Let me get your server,". Friendly and going the extra mile to make everyone comfortable and at home. My server, "Whitney Houston" was the best...of course :) These divas gave it their all out there on the floor. Make sure you come on time because they are prompt."

"Went to Nellie's for the Sunday Drag Brunch and had a GREAT time!! The brunch is a buffet for $25 and that includes one alcoholic drink (mimosa or bloody mary). The drag queens are your servers and they are FANTASTIC! Then there's the drag show which is so entertaining, all the ladies did a wonderful job. One of them even had a crush on one of the gentleman at our table, so that was fun to watch throughout the brunch. Would definitely go back!"

"I went to Nellie's with my girlfriends while my boyfriend was out of town for Sunday brunch! and it was PHENOMENAL! The food was delicious, the Queens were amazing at taking care of us, and their performance were marvelous! I strongly recommend this place to celebrate any occassion or even just because. It is very unique and the food was actually very good. I had "platanos fritos" a loved eating when I was a kid, and I hadn't had them for a while the food was good. We even had mimosas and they were good too. The Drag Queens' performances were out of this world."
