Ciao 2!'s is now the fourth generation of a traditional Italian trattoria! We are a special combination of style and substance, a restaurant known for its craft beers, boutique wines, and classic Italian cuisine!
Step inside and you'll notice what we have done with the place! Contemporary design elements are set against the backdrop of a classic trattoria!
Chef Sabrina, a native Pittsburger, carefully sources local produce and food stuffs whenever possible. Our chef has created brunch, lunch, and dinner menus as delicious tributes to the classic trattoria fashion!
This being Pittsburgh, it is only reasonable that Ciao2! pays loving attention the liquid side of things. Signature cocktails such as the Tuscan Sour and the Dark and Stormy, are served along side classics like the Ciao2! Manhattan and the Aviation.
Several beers are on tap and Nick has created a varied and unique wine list!
Ciao2! An Italian Cafe', a restaurant perfectly suited to its Sett
"I took my mom, along with my parents and my in-laws to Ciao2 for Mother's Day. It was my first experience with this restaurant, and everything was superb. The waiter was very attentive to our needs, and made sure that we never had to call him over with a question or to even refill our waters. Fantastic!"

"Everything was great except the service, which I think was probably an anomaly (it was Mother's Day). We have been there before and service was fine."

"This little spot was perfect for an after graduation celebration. We had a group of 6, and were running about a half hr behind schedule. When I called to inform the restaurant, they were very understanding and accomodating. The waitress was friendly and pleasant. The food was great and the Tiramisu is to die for!"

"This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is top notch with generous portions and their famous tomato basil sauce really lives up to it's name. The sommelier is really helpful in picking out wines, so if you want wine with your dish and don't know what to get, ask to have a wine picked out. You'll be pleased you did.
The only downside to this restaurant is the price. Be prepared to pay at least $75 for a dinner for 2 (including a glass of wine for each. without wine, you might be able to keep it down near $50) and as much as over $100. We got the filet mignon steak with a portobello mushroom, chicken marsala, 2 glasses of wine, and one desert for $102. I think it was worth it for how good the food is. :"

"The food was good not great, I had the chicken piccata and it seemed to be a deep fried cutlet rather than sauted. Additionally, there was a lack of sause to tie the dish together. The hot crab dish was very good but linited in size."

"Food was excellent; among the best Italian food I've had in the Pittsburgh area. Service was nice, and the server himself (also the owner) was engaging and treated us with great respect. The best way to describe it was that he treated us more like guests rather than customers. However, service was slow at times, which happens when he was the only one waiting the entire restaurant."

"Waited 15 minutes for a table when tables were available and reservations were previously made. My wife continuously waited for her wine, in fact, we had to wave down the waiter for all of our beverages. Food took a long time to get to the table, and I have a hungry ten year old. I had to even ask for bread because everyone was starving. I had to request everything. That's not how it is supposed to work. It was our first time there, and it was very obvious that those whom had eaten there before got preferential treatment. My wife liked her tortalini, and my daughters and my meals were average. Not worth $118.00! Food and service at Bucca de Beppo is much better, and I am full blooded Italian, and usually does not like chain restaurants."

"We would not return unless someone else was paying. The food was good, but expensive. The bread was hard and not warm, our service was poor. We were not impressed."

"The food was ok and the service was pretty good. However I felt it was overpriced compared to the quality I have seen at other places, however, I was not disappointed in food or service. I was disappointed in our seating! There was only a curtain separating our table from the outside entrance. Every time the door opened we were greeted with a blast of cold air! They also had too many tables in too small of a area. Whenever the servers went to serve tables behind us we constantly had to move. Others at my table were also having our chairs bumped by other customers seated around us. The tables were also too small. We had a party of 4 and there was no room on our table for the bread we shared."

"My wife and I were there on Valentines Day. A nice quiet cafe atmosphere. The service was great, the food was excellent and the drinks were first class. What more could you ask for? This was our first visit. We will return."

"The food was excellent and our waitress was good. The biggest problem was the amount of tine it took to get a drink. We were a party of four; if beer was ordered, it can in a reasonable amount of time. The amount of time it took to receive wine or a mixed drink was ridiculous. Upwards of 25 minutes to receive a mixed drink. Even though the food was good, I will not eat at this restaurant again."

"Great service and a knowledgable staff. Nice atmosphere and good, fresh food with only a few minor execution issues (i.e. drain your pasta better after cooking it). Very happy overall though!"

"This is a GREAT Italian Restaurant. Especially if you are from Italy, or have Italian ties, it is fun to talk to the owner. During our conversation he asked where in Italy our family was from, then the area, and our last name. He said he knew someone from Carnegie with a certain name, and he gave the name of my grandfather who was sitting at the table! It was hilarious! The two reminiced intermitently throughout the evening of who they knew and what they did. It was a lot of fun and my grandfather loved it!
We also got the family style meal as well. Please just be aware that they will bring you a LOT of food, so pace yourselves! We were all filled up, then they brought out fried eggplant and fried chicken and we were just stuffed"
