At Walker’s Grille, we are committed to protecting the future of our local environment and believe the extra steps are worth the effort. We are proud to be the first and currently only restaurant in Virginia to earn LEED Gold certification, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. We use eco-friendly operations that include recycled design materials, a recycling program, and energy efficient equipment to reduce water and energy consumption. Our menu items are made from all natural, fresh products sourced from local and regional farming communities. Our vendors are all committed to ethical and environmentally friendly farming practices. The meat and poultry we serve are Certified Humane. Our seafood is sustainable from domestic sources.

"I have been there for lunch and dinner a number of times and had always come away pleased, so my husband and I decided to try their Sunday brunch. We had an outdoor table for Father's Day. It was a prix fixed menu, and everything was incredible. The covered patio with ceiling fans kept everything cool and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the presentation beautiful. Ashton, our server, made sure we were well taken care of. Our three courses were served in a timely manner, but we were never rushed. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we were there and left feeling like it had truly been a special occasion."

"Took my dad for Father's Day brunch and we were able to sit outside on the patio. Service was great--our glasses were always filled, fresh silverware was brought out for every course, and the server kept coming to check on us. The menu that day was a price fixe (because it was a special occasion), but there was enough variety that everyone found at least one thing from each course that they wanted. Everything came out as ordered and was all really delicious. I've been there for dinner several times and the regular menu is amazing--so many things to try for the first time with lots of old favorites mixed in. The comfortable seating outside makes it a great place for a happy hour or drinks after work on a warm, sunny day."

"Kayla was our server and she is SUPER!
Prior to last week, my guest had not visited the restaurant, and she lives in the area. So, I suggested we go! This is a great restaurant, however, the service during some of my recent visits has been inconsistent with previous experiences. By far, this was my best visit in a long time! Kayla knows the menu, is courteous, and she smiled the entire time. Food was delivered in the appropriate amount of time and she checked on us often. I will ask for Kayla again."

"I had a fun evening at Walker's Grille. The outdoor seating is great because it's covered. We arrived in time to take advantage of happy hour specials, which are well priced. My friend and I shared the spinach dip and each had crabcake sliders. The dip was good, the sliders could have used a slightly bigger crapcake. There was more bun that crabcake, but they had good flavor. The service was certainly efficient and polite. I will certainly go back and try other entrees. The location is close to my house and the amount of outdoor seating and ample free parking make the restaurant more attractive. It's also away from the hustle and bustle of Kingstowne."

"...our appetizers and entrees *all* came out at the same time. Don't know if it was the kitchen or that the waitress didn't pick them up. So we had no opportunity to take our time with our appetizers, as our entrees were cooling by the second. Filet, sides, and their presentation was great. Take a pass on the crab cake sliders, ours had little flavor to stand up to the bun and tomato."

"Also love Walker's and was there this past weekend as well as for their Mother's Day Brunch. Saw the advertisement for the fixed price 3-course Mother's Day Brunch and wanted to try it out. Great service, superb food, and large portions (a 4 ounce pour? Really? Never seen that at Walker's or any where else for that matter!). Unlike many other places where it's over-crowded and you're made to feel rushed so they can seat the next party, we had a relaxing Mother's Day Brunch. The many times we've been there, if we've ever had any issues, the wait staff and/or the managers/owners have always been accommodating. Only place of this caliber in Kingstowne. I for one plan on coming back!"

"Yes, love Walker’s too and was there this past weekend and for Mother’s Day. Great experience both times. Saw the 3-course fixed price menu they were offering ahead of time and thought it sounded good. Superb food, large portions (including the drinks! A 4 ounce pour? Really? Never seen that at Walker’s or anywhere else in fact!), and the service great. We were able to enjoy our Mother’s Day brunch without feeling rushed unlike so many other places where you’re ‘forced’ to hurry up with your meal so they can seat the next reservation! Also, if we didn’t like something (which is rare!), the staff and/or managers/owners have been very accommodating. There is no other place like this in Kingstowne. I plan on coming back as often as I can."

"Unfortunately, tish and chips were greasy the management was very attentive to our concerns and we were not charged for it or for the second entrée. The salmon nicoise salad was very good. We think they deserve a second chance and we will be back."

"Our first visit to Walker's Grille was very pleasant. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive despite having to also work a full outside dining area. The cocktails were excellent and the food good and attractively presented. We especially recommend their Cobb Salad - freshly made with well balanced ingredients and generously sized. It was a tasty starter. The steak arrived more rare than requested, but the meat was warm throughout, tender, and juicy allowing us to overlook the undercooking. We plan to go back soon and hope to sit in the attractive outside dining area."

"Dined here for Mothers Day Brunch. 3 adults, 3 kids. The bottomless mimosas were ok - lots of OJ.. Adults chose the Food took sometime to arrive. Two of the kids' side order were mixed up. Kids fixed it by switching items. As the kids ate, another server came by and said, "This order was not for your table. I'll have to take those back." She tried to grab my daughter's plate. My wife stopped her, telling her that the order was correct. Server asked, "Is this your exact order?" When told that it was, the server said "Well, I'll have to check that." She never came back. What was she going to do? Give the partially eaten food to some other table? Or just toss it out? Food was decent but not special. Odd service."

"Normally we love Walker's Grill! So when we got a notice that they were serving a Special Fixe Prix Mother's Day Meal, we jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, it proved a disappointment this time. The service, despite a moderate crowd, was underwhelming. We felt rushed the entire meal. Even though we wanted to order from the Wine List, the waitress stood there until we not only choose a wine, but actually insisted that we order all of our meal choices before she left. We also felt that although the food was good, it seemed way over priced for the offering, which is not typical of Walker's Grill. They even charged $8 for an average wine, and then only poured a 4 ounce glass! We used to love Walker's Grill, but we will not hurry back."

"This is my second time going to Walker's grill. I went to celebrate Mother's Day. The food was great, but our server seemed unprepared to answer even the basic questions. My very first question was regarding the soup of the day. It took two return trips to the kitchen before she discovered that it was chili. I ordered the clam chowder which I asked to have brought out before our entrees. It never arrived. She returned twice to ask about our meal and then ask if we wanted desert. Both times I pointed out that I never got my soup. I got the feeling that every time she came to our table, she completely forgot our previous conversation. Also slow service and lack of attention to details gives this restaurant a low score for service."

"I went with a companion I hadn't seen in a while for lunch, so we were deep in conversation; therefore, I'm probably not the best judge of the service, but the server was friendly and we always had our needs met. In fact, she brought samples of the tomato soup for us to try.
I had the tejas salad with salmon added. I loved how the salmon was prepared. The menu described the salad as having peppers and avocado, but I didn't see much of either,

"Had a hard time finding this place. It was hidden in an office complex and not great signage. We booked site unseen. It was a sunday night and it was dead. There were 4 other patrons. Place was very nice and food was good. Kind of odd location and weird vibe with no customers.
This is probably a good lunch spot for office workers. Id say if you are in the area and want a quiet dinner and good food, go for it."

"I took a client to Walker's for lunch and we had a lovely meal on the patio. He had the fish-n-chips and I had the Nicoise Salad with grilled Salmon. We splurged and had a lunch-time cocktail too. The food was fresh and the service was friendly and attentive. If you work in or near Springfield, this is a great place to eat ... esp. on a sunny day on the patio. (Parking is a little tight at peak lunch time, so allow time to find a spot)."

"This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with great food and drink and first rate decor. The only negative continues to be the hit-or-miss service. Sometimes it is executed flawlessly; sometimes it is inattentive. Should not have to wait 20 minutes for a cocktail. When your food is delivered and you ask for a beer, the beer should not be delivered after you are 3/4s of the way through your meal. I don't know why it is so hard to get consistently good service at Walker's Grille, but it is. They are all friendly and welcoming but they really need to conduct some exercises aimed at emphasizing the importance of paying attention to all the details involved in good service."

"My wife and I visited Walker's Grille for the first time on the evening of April 7 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We chose the Walker Grille because of their emphasis on organically produced beef, seafood, and vegetables. The food was great and although the wait staff told us they were shorthanded, our waitress and hostess teamed up and did a fantastic job of taking care of us in a very timely manner. Also, I found the prices to be very reasonable. We will definitely be back with other family members and friends! Thank you Walker's Grille!"

"Our server was great and personable, but we made mistake of ordering the shrimp and crab dip appetizer. The bread was VERY STALE and we couldn't even bite into it. We had to ask our server for pita or something else, and by the time it came, our entrees were there. They should have taken the appetizer off the bill. "We went for the restaurant's 2 year anniversary. It was by reservation only, but that was easy with Open Table. Greeting by the hostess was very friendly. Our waitress, Ashton, was very knowledgeable, social & efficient. She gave us plenty of time to choose and talked about the special wine flights. We had the bubbly one & it was great. We enjoyed our dinners very much. I had the salmon & my DH had the beef. Both cooked just right with nice sauces and sides. Music was provided by a singer & a guitarist. Both very easy to listen to. We even got a customer goodie bag as we left. A very nice perk!

"There Second anniversary celebration was over the top. The location is close to my studio and so we frequent often but the full house at 6:30 really surprised us. Though over booked they were handling it all in good stride. Passing champagne added a very nice touch!"

"Attend the 2 year anniversary celebration last night and had some great food and entertainment. Walkers did a great job in putting together the celebration, and the menu choices they had were exceptional. This is a place I enjoy going to."

"This was a Valentine's Day dinner event, with a special menu, roses for the ladies, and live entertainment. The food was excellent, service friendly and attentive, the singer/combo engaging and talented, and the overall experience fun and very couple/small group enjoyable. Highly recommended."

"This was our first time to Walker's Grille and we were very impressed with the service, ambiance and mostly the food. We went on a wednesday night when kids eat free, and it was a lot of fun for our kids. They were given balloons upon leaving with a goodie bag that included a nice pencil and some candies.
I'd strongly recommend Walker's and while it's in a location that isn't close to us, we'll make the trip again soon!"

"We all enjoyed our dinners very much. I had the scallops, which were very tasty. The risotto that accompanied the scallops was delicious. The mussels were also enjoyed at our table as well as the steak. The staff was very attentive and we were very pleased with our service.
We also had 3 children with us. Walker's Grill is not a kid's restaurant, but all of the staff was extremely friendly and sweet to them. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening and dinner. I look forward to dining at Walker's Grill again."
