"The BA El Cajon Seems to have upgraded the quality of the food in the last year or so. The service has always been dependable, we also find the booths to be as intimate and comfy as possible. Lastly your Filet Mignon has been killer lately, whomever your meat Co. is keep them and that cut. Also I find the BA menu to be very fairly priced. My personal favorite adult beverage is the Cowboy Sangria. Keep it up Black Angus!

"Went for a family birthday with a group of 9. We had a team of two waiting on our table. They were outstanding! Drinks never ran dry and our orders were perfect! Both very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Which worked in their favor given my family!"

"2 stupid waitress .. they gave our food to another table.. They didn't communicate well at all . they didn't keep our drinks filled up or even come by to ask to fill them up . The guy who clears off the table got us our drinks 2 times hardly seen the waitress at all . then when our desert came again some of our food was not with it. so we had to wait for them to talk about it that took 7 minutes then one of the waitress came by and said oh sorry the ROOT BEER WAS SITTING ON THE COUNTER THE WHOLE TIME AND IT WAS A MISS COMMUNICATION ON OUR PART. I hope these 2 girls get a new job somewhere that they don't serve food to people because both of them couldn't even handle a table of 8 people ."

"I always get the teriyaki sliced sirloin off the lunch menu. I was disappointed that the meat was very hard and not tender. Two other co workers of mine ordered the same thing because I raved about it and their meat was tough too."

Used opentable online to make reservations it was super quick & easy.
Got a table right away when we arrived.

Took the staff over 10 minutes to acknowledge our table even though they were waiting on a table less than three feet from us.
Ordered drinks and watched them sit on the bar until the bartender physically had to give them to our waitress.
Appetizers came out quick and tasted good, Salad came out shortly after (I ordered the dressing on the side and my salad came out swimming in it)Time between waitress picking up our salad plates and bringing the entrees was 28 minutes"

"We had the Campfire Feast dinner for two. Everything we had with this meal was cooked just the way I like it. They made you feel special. I had a birthday the day before and my husband had to work. Well they treated it like it was my birthday and it made my day. Would I go back? You bet every chance I can. I love there Prime Rib and the fix-ens that go with it. There cooks really know what they are doing."

"El Cajon is a waste land when it comes to dining. We have very few choices unless we want to go to La Mesa or Santee. With that being said, Black Angus has hung in there and provided us with a place to enjoy a "steak house" atmosphere. The decor could use an up date, but the food is adequate and the service is always great."

"Black Angus is one of our favorite spots. The food is delicious and the service is always great. Even though it's a steak house, our favorite meal there is the Salmon. They cook it to perfection. "We called and informed the restaraunt we would be 15 minutes late. No problem. Seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Social evening so we were talking when waitress asked us if we were ready. Ordered water and our drinks. Received them within the next 15 minutes. 1/2 hour later finally took our order and brought bread. Requested another drink. 15-20 minutes later had to ask again for the drink. Food brought about 10-15 minutes after the drink. Food tasted good but service was lousy. The manager (?) asked us how things were after we had finished our dinner. She was surprised service was so low. She did voluntarily comp our drinks which was the redeeming factor that evening."
