Province is an American restaurant with cuisine inspired by Central America, South America and Spain; farm-to-table cuisine from Executive Chef Randy Zweiban. Sustainable, organic, and bio-dynamic sources are the foundation for our food, wine, and beverages.
Inspired by Mexican architects Luis Barragan and Legorretta & Legorreta, the otherwise subdued, ivory-painted room is anchored by a hot pink wall. The pink is set off by warm materials in different brown and cocoa shades on the chairs and banquets. The inspiration for these pops of color is a modern approach to the farmhouse aesthetic, with modern edges and clean lines.
"My grandson and his high school group had gone there for Prom and they had a wonderful experience, so for our celebration of his graduation, we we went there after the ceremony...we all had a lovely evening...Many kudos to the chef and kitchen crew, and the wait staff was wonderful. I will return again, and I look forward to the patio service in the fall!"

"Service was attentive and personable and the pacing of the courses for our Restaurant Week dinner was perfect . Our server adapted with ease to our group's interest in conversation. We never felt rushed, and it made it all the more special and enjoyable. The amuse bouche was a nice surprise! We enjoyed both the Restaurant Week menu and one of us chose the seasonal (page 2) menu...both were wonderful. We're happy to have discovered this restaurant and will be back! Johnsons & Rothrocks"

"What can I say? Province always delivers on food and service! The brunch choices were fantastic; started with the belgian waffles with a nice choice of toppings. I had to go with the caramel sauce andit was awesome. Then i had my choice of a number if options for eggs Benedict. I could not decide so i had two different types, the province which had perfectly cooked steak and great chimichurri hollandaise and bacon with ancho chili hollandaise. They were both very tasty. The bakery items were top notch and a wonderful bloody mary bar as well as a mimosa bar. Another awesome visit to province!"

"Although part of a downtown hotel (the Westin), the restaurant is tastefully decorated and seems to stand on its own. Its open, bright, clean, and bistro like, but not very noisy, which was nice. The outdoor eating space is large and nicely appointed, and well shielded from downtown traffic. The food was delicious. I had the asparagus salad and corn chowder soup for lunch and both were freshly made and flavorful without being overdone.
Our server, Steve, was professional and attentive.
I look forward to having a happy hour there and trying out the wine list."

"Positive things first. The food served was pretty good. But the service took so long to arrive. One of our orders was just forgotten. Overall , not a very good experience dining here. I won't recommend it to any one."

"Pretty good actually. Eggs Benedict and the Waffles were great. Pastrys leave much to be desired. Service was good. We were surprised that the coffee was extra. I mean $3.50 per person for regular coffee on top of the $29.00 buffet price. Lots of stree noise when sitting outside. Too bad, I realize that have no control over that. Overall we had a nice time."

"We had a lovely evening at Province starting off with their organic gin martinis - really interesting and refreshing taste. The we order a variety of vegetarian tapas entrees. Prior to the arrival of our order, we enjoyed a lovely bread with olive oil and a special appetizer from the chef. Then the tapas came - the chickpea starter was really tasty and interesting. We enjoyed the olives as a starter too but would have preferred the olives to be cool not warm. The Arroz was great and the asparagus was cooked just right."

"Came here with my family to celebrate a special occasion. I did some research for fun restaurants in Phoenix and this one sounded the most fun. The food we had was extremely good. I really loved the South American inspired dishes, and the Arroz Amarillo was incredible! Our waiter, Kyle, was very personable and we all became "best friends" very quickly. We ate rather late, and they kept the kitchen open for us! At the end of the night, Kyle had brought out a complimentary celebratory dessert of their donuts hole pastries, which of course were extremely good. I'm recommending Province to anyone who wants a relaxed, enjoyable, amazing dining experience."

"Beautiful outdoor patio! This is one of the best restaurants in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Each dish is so well-prepared and full of flavors. If its a beautiful evening, ask for patio seating which adds to your dining experience."

"AMAZING! The service was absolutely incredible. Unlike anywhere we have ever dinned. Every aspect of this place is off the charts. The dining experience is OUTSTANDING from the initial greeting as we arrived, to the service, and food presentation. Hands down! Every entree looks like a masterpiece and taste like one!
This restaurant comes highly recommended, and for a good reason. They try their hardest to be the best - and they are!
If you want to take your special someone to a place that will knock your socks off - then look no further! We had special Menus saying : province wishes xxxxx happy 9th anniversary! Just amazing! The food is unique as it combines native Latin American food. We came for our anniversary dinn"

"Menu offered was not the same menu as online...brunch menu was weak. The food was dreadful. Breakfast tacos: eggs overcooked, chorizo was flavorless. Pulled pork hash: so dried out and gummy, looked like two day old leftovers; inedible. Ham and eggs: Eggs brown. Staff was very nice, setting is great on the patio."

"Wonderful experience for my first timing dining at Province! The food is amazing! Oliver, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive! Can't wait to take my brother there, as he really loves Spanish-style foood! I have to try Sunday Brunch there sometime! Great patio for evening cocktails and wine! Loved the live Flamenco music on the Friday night I was there!"

"Classy, well-managed place, excellent staff. Food strives for a pan-Latin chic but does not fully succeed. Too eclectic in my opinion, lacks a coherent theme. Still, not bad, and the total experience is very pleasant."

"I might recommend for another meal, but not Easter Brunch. They really weren't set up for it. The eggs benedict were cold, and there was just not enough variety to the food on the brunch menu.
The service was great, though, and the staff and atmosphere very, very nice."

"The food was great, the ambience not so much. For a restaurant of this caliber, we were expecting dimmed lights and a romantic atmosphere. Not so! The lights were bright and with the high ceilings, it felt like we were in a stadium. Dimming the lights in the dining area will improve the dining atmosphere significantly."

"Province has an interesting, ecclectic South American influenced menu that includes an excellent selection of tapas in addition to full plates. Every selection we've sampled over multiple visits has been delicious as well as thoughtfully presented. The wine list is extensive, the staff are friendly and accomodating and the location is perfect for pre-theatre and pre-concert dining. Reasonable pricing is a bonus."

"What a great evening we had at Province! The food was wonderful and very creative. We loved the flatbread and empanada appetizers. The beef short rib was melt in your mouth and the steaks were perfectly prepared. However, the service was even more outstanding. First, we met Kyl, our waitperson, who gave our table top-notch service and was gracious and good-humored throughout. We also enjoyed Derek, who shared his Thai heritage with us, and gave us great service. Drago, the assistant manager, even stopped by to make certain we were being well attended. We highly recommend this restaurant and don't be put off by the fact that it is in the Westin Hotel. Province is entirely its own separate space on the street level."

"Excellent experience. A real twist on Latin flavors. Their plantain bread with cilantro oil was just the first surprise of the evening. Fish was perfect, pork was so moist. Dessert was the only let down - but just a little. We'll be going back. Perfect pre/post dinner spot!"

"This restaurant had a wonderful ambiance and I had such high hopes for dinner - the only problem was that it took over an hour to get the first course. We had to cancel the meal since we had theater tickets for 8pm. Such a disappointment!"

"Tried Province for the 1st time while celebrating a birthday. I indicated it would be a b-day dinner when reservations were made; host & wait staff were aware of it and sent b-day wishes throughout dinner - very nice! Our server, Sam, as well as the asst servers were attentive & friendly. A complementary mushroom appetizer was brought to our table, nice flavor. We shared butternut squash soup, chile spiked ceasar salad, & Chilean beef empanadas, all very good! Entrees were beef short ribs & seafood arroz armarillo. Short rib meat was a bit fatty which was expected, but it was tender. Seafood dish was served paella style; very tasty! We had hibiscus earl grey sorbet for dessert, lovely & unexpected combination! We would definitely go back!"

"Had tapas: Garlic shrimp - small and rather bland; Lobster ceviche - did not have the ceviche texture - seemed more like frozen lobster; Pork meatballs - probably the best; chicken empanadas - heavy on the dough. Service was friendly and attentive. Surprisingly, OpenTable indicated no availability at my desired time of 7PM so I made reservations for 6:30. At 7PM the restaurant was at best 10% occupied."

"We chose this place with it's proximity to the Orphem theater. We were not disappointed. Every thing was to our satisfaction. Three of our party had Tapas, the other steak. All were we'll prepared, very tasty. The Almond pastry desert was heavenly. We would definitely dine here again, with or without the theater before. It was too cool to enjoy the patio, but looked very inviting for our next time. This is a great option for downtown dining."

"Open Table needs to specify when it is offering a restaurant in a hotel. I would not have booked this restaurant if I had known, and I had a typical restaurant hotel experience ~ not bad, just adequate, and over-priced (especially the drinks!). The server recommended against most of the items on the menu. The room lacked any sense of ambience."

"We have been to Province many times - but this food series that they are doing sounds amazing. The food was great.
The ONLY complaint I have is that you pay an extra fee for the wine selections they suggest. We jumped at the chance. Unfortunately - they are not glasses of wine...they are 1" of wine in a large wine glass. There were 3 of us out of 5 that purchased the full option. That was our ONLY complaint.
Service was AMAZING!"

"The food and service were non-pareil. The extra little surprises were very much appreciated. We were seated at a very nice table. Our waiter Oliver was very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. The maitre D approached our table twice to see if we were saisfied with the service and food. We took advantage of the Living Social 3 course dinner special. Dinner was served at a comfortable pace. We weren't rushed at all. We plan on returning in the near future."
