"Had called and made a reservation for 6 and requested a booth. When we arrived, we were put in the bar area, which had the largest booth available. It was too noisy for us,with all the sports going, so the staff was very kind to move us into the restaurant proper where we could hear better. Everyone was very courteous and the food was good, and very value priced as we were able to use a coupon.
It was a pleasant evening all the way around and I was satisfied with my choice."

"I was very disappointed because I made a 6 p.m. reservation 2 days before the event and we were not seated until 6:20. Our server was polite, but quite slow. Our food was delivered to us at 7:00. We had tickets to a concert at the Philharmonic at 8 P.M. downtown, so had to rush our meal, barely getting there in time. This was a celebration of my 72nd birthday, so the bad service put a damper on the occasion. Although the food is excellent, this is not the first time we have had slow service."

"May 4th was my 65th birthday. My husband and I were running late so we needed to update the reservation time. It was so easy to do, using Open Table website. We were seated quickly upon arrival, by the manager no less. He sat us at a great table, gave us a great server, and wished me a Happy Birthday. Dinner was terrific, followed by the staff bring a fresh baked giant chocolate chip cookie with a lit candle at the end of the meal. It was a good idea to go to this restaurant for my birthday dinner and I recommend highly the prime rib and large lobster. Yum."

"I wanted to celebrate my husband birthday which I stated on my reservation and told several people there but no one did anything. As I left I informed my disappointment to the manager Dan, he did not care and was rude. I will NEVER go there again and have told everyone about my service and I felt discriminated. All my friend agree that they hate this place."

"Service is a hallmark of Black Angus and this was a stellar example of it. The bartender was attentive and helpfully pointed out that if we bought a drink at the bar during happy hour, we could take it to our table and save a little. He was prompt with our drinks even when he abruptly got quite busy and had to deal with food orders. Mitch, our server, was on top of her game. She not only gets you whatever you need, she's proactive in asking if you need additional condiments (some places put everything down and walk away before you can speak up). She explained a change in Campfire Dinner coupon when we noticed my steak cost $3 more but never before. She was instructive, not defensive or dismissive."

"Hostess knew who our party was once I showed my smart phone. Arrived 5 min. early and was promptly seated. Brought coupons which were happily accepted and properly added to ticket. Meal was all inclusive appetizers, entree with sides and a dessert. The down side was we were placed in an area with no view of anything except other diners. Other than that, everything was really well done. The manager came by to check to see how our meal was, servers were all very good and polite."

"Always something new on the menu and the food is cooked competently and to order. Customer service is a highlight -- friendly staff who know the difference between checking in and hovering. My only recommendation would be that the wine list be freshened to include a greater variety of both whites and reds. Not everyone is enamored of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon."

"We had a coupon, which made the value of our meal a great deal. Quality of the food has gone downhill, as has the appetizer portion size. The medium well New York steak was cooked very well done, and both the New York steak and Ribeye were about 1/3 fat. Neither were very seasoned, and we were surprised at how much salt we had to add.
It was our anniversary, and the staff sang us a song and gave us a free dessert, which was a nice surprise. Overall, very attentive and courteous staff. Will return as long as there's a good coupon."

"The evening was a late Valentine's dinner for us. We walked in 10 minutes early and the table was already waiting for us. The waitress was pleasant and was attentive to our desire to have a romantic dinner. She knew how to serve us, take personal attention to our evening with light conversation without staying too long or rushing off to the next table. One of our plates came out not as ordered and the correction was prompt and polite followed by a manager checking on the situation. The food was perfect. We would highly recommend this resteraunt."

"I know it was Valentine's Day but we could not get service at the bar while waiting for our table reservation. It was at least 5 minutes before either barman acknowledged our presence. We were trying to take advantage of the Happy Hour bar specials and get in a few drinks. I guess the bar/management figured we were going to get drinks with our meal and they don't lose any money.
I gave service 3 stars due to lack of service at the bar. Our table server deserved 4 stars minimum bordering on 5 stars."

"This was Valentine's Day and I know they are busy but if you have to wait 45 minutes we think this was too long for having a reservation. They were calling out people's name 5-6 times and when I went up to the podium to ask how much longer she said WE called your name but you didn't come over.

"they are rather pricey but if you want to take your wife out for a special occasion this isn't totally bad. always make a reservation. they are pricey and they are not usually busy during the week but still a good idea. also, if it's some ones birthday or you anniversary do tell them when you make the reservations!"

"Our dinner was nothing that couldn't be enjoyed at home. We had a coupon for an appetizer, two entres and a dessert. Our server failed to inform us that our choices were $2 more than the coupon price. The dessert tasted like it was removed from a wrapper and popped in the microwave. My wife and I were extremely disapointed after looking forward to our Valentine's day celebration. We don't get many opportunities to get out much with 5 kids and a limited budget. After our experience at Black Angus, we will be much choosier in our next selection to celebrate an opportunity to have a night out."
