SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY is an authentic Memphis-Style BBQ restaurant and bar. We boast some of the finest southern food found this side of the Mason Dixon Line. "And she loved it! This was my second visit to Southerm Hospitality and I was not disappointed. The hostess was super friendly, the waitress attentive and helpful and the food was like my grandma used to make. Just an all around great time. The bluegrass band was a nice touch... Not too loud, but definitely had my toes tapping. I want to come back and try one of the bourbon flights..."

"The food was good. The drinks are strong, and the place is fun. One anoyiing thing - we came before the happy hour rush and askedfor a booth even though it was just the two of us. They have a dozen or so booths but were told we could not ave one because they had several large parties with reservations. When we left 2 hours later - every single booth was still empty. So uncool. Also, our waitress gave us attitude from the jump and refused to make eye contact. She acted as though she just could not be bothered."

"My 27 year old daughter had recommended this as the best pulled pork sandwich she ever had. My wife and I split our pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches so we each could tell each other what we thought of each sandwich. We thought they were average but tasty never the less. The amount of meat in each was also about 6 oz. Not impressed by that. The cornbread was excellent. The waiter was attentive and friendly. So overall I think if the sandwich was a few ounces bigger I think we would have had a better experience. This is not a bad place to eat just build up your hopes too much. As for me I am on my way to Virgil's next time I am looking for a barbecue taste in NYC."

"Food is good. I had the brisket platter and it was tender. Collard greens were probably the best I've had in the city. My friend had the fried chicken, a little too heavy on the coating, but she raved about the grits.
Service started off promising, waitress came by every few minutes to check on us. Once the food arrived, the server disappeared. Perhaps she knew the 20% service fee (on a table of 5?!) would be tacked on automatically and didn't feel the need to provide more than the basics but we weren't offered any dessert menus nor did she ask if anyone needed more drinks."

"We always want Southern hospitality to be better than it is. Host was fairly rude, food was just ok. Briskit was dry and tasteless, Mac and cheese salty, corn on the cob side laughably paltry - (three tips of an ear where there are no kernels). Deviled eggs and bacon were fabulous. And my dining companion said the ribs were pretty darn good. Server was super friendly, although when we asked about a drink she said "I'm not sure, I turned 21 about a week ago". uh, thanks. All in all, we've tried it a few times, just want to love it, but Southern Hospitality usually disappoints."

"Place is great spot to bring guests visiting the city, hanging with friend to watch a game, or for a group dinner. Food is amazing. Some of the best BBQ in the city hands down.
Do yourself a favor - Order the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and make sure you get a side of Mac And Cheese. You will not regret the decision."

"I went with my daughter for a bite to eat after work. The service was very good, plus we didn't feel rushed to leave even after we got the check. "From the welcoming service to the speedy food delivery, Southern Hospitality certainly exceeded our expectations. After taking great recommendations from our waitress, the orders arrived in no time - to our surprise considering the busy friday night tables.

"I wanted to come back here for Sunday brunch to enjoy the live Bluegrass band and specifically asked for a table near the band. Our party size increased from 4 to 6 and we were seated on the other side of the restaurant in a booth away from the band and could not hear the music at all. It might be nice if they could pump the live music through their sound system.
We all opted for the unlimited mimosa option but they ran out of sparkling wine before I had even finished my entree which seems a little ridiculous. They switched us to screwdrivers but it put a damper on things.
I really enjoyed the huevos rancheros with the pulled pork there though."

"Excellent spot for drinks and southern home cooking. We are talking lick your fingers clean BBQ! This was my second visit to SH. The first was unintentional as my group of friends from out of town met up for a weekend in NYC and we sought refuge in SH during a spontaneous rainstorm on a Friday night. Little did we know that SH was hiding a basement party with a rockin' DJ. A night to remember as we closed it down. This visit was less energetic but the drinks were great and food was amazing. Not a busy crowd on a Tuesday but the server ha kind eyes and took great care of us."

"Fried chicken was awful. Overbreaded and overfried to the point that when you cut into it the breading falls off the bird in one large chunk and is as hard as a rock. So much breading that you couldn't differentiate one chicken part from another.
Fried green tomatoes were hard as well.
Service was fine but it was still a bad dining experience."

"A group of 6 ladies and I came in this Saturday and had brunch. We were a little bit late, no problem. A friend of ours joined an hour later - no problem. The waiter came around and filled up our mimosas to the top even if our glasses were half full. Good food, fast, good service. Definitely plan to go back for brunch!"

"Great menu! The BBQ sauce is awesome, just enough kick in it. The macaroni and cheese may be the best I have had yet. My friends and I, while we enjoyed all our food, we loved the mango margaritas!! While I was there I heard that Justin Timberlake owns the restaurant, now if we could have only dined with him..."

"I took some French friends to taste American BBQ. Solid food and service as with previous times there. I wish the service was just a bit 'tighter' - I had to ask twice for water at the bar, for example. Ribs are good, but could use a bit more cooking so they fall apart easier. Beans were a favorite side."

"Our server Brittany was terrific, checked on us as appropriate and made great suggestions for our dining pleasure. The food is good, not great but certainly worth trying and going back to for a relaxed meal and being casual. Great place for families or watching an event at the bar."

I ordered the burger and it was extremely bland and tasteless. The rest of the food was terrible as well (with the exception of the appetizers: nachos and flatbread chicken pizza).
Waitress was very standoffish, dry and slow. She made us feel very uncomfortable for some reason... Drinks came 20-25 minutes after we placed our order. She seemed to have a bit of an attitude because she rudely and aggressively slammed cutlery/plates on the table.

"We were visiting New York and my teenage daughter wanted to try Justin Timberlake's restaurant. We weren't really impressed with the location of the restaurant but liked the restaurant itself so much that we returned a few days later before we left for home. The food was plentiful ... more than enough. In fact, I could only eat one piece of the four pieces of fried chicken that came in my meal. The people were friendly and the service was great. Only downside was that Justin wasn't around!"

"Next time I will go to the one on the upper east side. The waitress did not check on the table. The seats were on top of each other. My food was cold and if I'm not mistaken the plates are smaller than the other restaurant. I did not enjoy my dinner."

"I loved this restaurant! We were quickly seated by the friendly staff for our Easter Sunday Brunch.
We got the bottomless brunch-- yummy bellinis & mimosas that left us feeling great ;) The Huevos Rancheros were quite delicious. My brother ordered the Big as Texas meal-- can't believe he ate the whole thing as the portions were, well, big as Texas. The grits were especially scrumptious.
Our waitress was cute and friendly which added to the enjoyable, happy atmosphere.
The live Bluegrass music was the icing on the cake!
I will (continue to) recommend this place to friends, family and co-workers. I cannot wait to return!
If only co-creator Justin Timberlake were there!"

"I took my boyfriend there as a birthday celebration. The food was pretty good, the waiter was nice but she was so busy that when it came to the bill I waited about 30 minutes for her to come back with my receipt. The music was pretty good but I think its more of a place to go when you are with a group of friends rather than with a bf/gf."

"I really like this place if you go for the ribs and you are not a dry rub bbq person opt for the grilled ribs which were really good. The banana and vanilla wafer dessert was also very good! Would definitely go back anytime."

"The drinks were the best part. The meal.... hmmm... think of a Frozen Hungry Man Dinner (fried chicken) paired with the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy EXACTLY like the KFC formula).
It wasn't terrible tasting (I like KFC!), but I was hoping for a notch or two above what was served.
