Chesapeake Inn Restaurant
The Chesapeake Inn is a place for everyone. The Main Dining Room boasts a beautiful waterfront view, along with a great bar area for small plates and some great "liquid therapy" cocktails. The menu in the dining room features jumbo lump crab cakes, fresh seafood specials, pasta, chicken, steak and veal. The Deck is our casual area featuring brick oven pizzas, great finger foods, salads and sandwiches. The Deck is open daily April through October, and only on weekends during the off season. The Deck area also offers live bands and entertainment during the summer months. The Chesapeake Inn also has a state of the art Ballroom for weddings and special occasions. We also have smaller banquet rooms in the Main Dining Area. We can host banquets up to 200 guests. "Took mom (birthday) and dad (Father's Day) to Chesapeake Inn for dinner and had a great experience. Food was great, and wait staff friendly. They were even able to sit us an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation. The warm bread with black olives was excellent, as was their menu entrees. No room for dessert!"

"Our daughter Heather frequents the Chesapeake Inn and suggested we go for brunch for Father's Day and her Dad's birthday. The food was delicious. So many choices. Even our 8 year old granddaughters enjoyed all the selections. Would recommond the brunch, service was great."

"This place was a great place to eat but nothing really blew us away. The prices are what we expected but the food didn't live up to the price fully. The setting was good and the service was really good. I would say that this is a great place to eat if you're willing to accept average food for a high price. I would say, for the money, there are better places to eat but this place was not bad overall."

"We had high expectations for this restaurant as we expected fine dining at its best. Dining on the deck or visiting the bar looked like a better choice. We had better food and friendlier service at a local bar. My husband's steak was not a good cut of beef and I ordered the stuffed flounder (since the one I had a BJ's in Ocean City the week before was fabulous) and was pretty disappointed. Not certain if the cooking staff was getting slammed and had difficulty keeping up or what but, I will think twice before going back."

"We were hoping to eat outside but the Tropical Storm tharted that idea. The view of the storm on the water was equally beautiful however. The service was excellent and the selection of fresh fish was outstanding. The inside bar was hopping but just far enough away that you didn't feel like it was "invading" the restaurant. The service was excellent.
Looking forward to coming back and eating on the new 2nd floor deck soon. It looks beautiful."

"We sat in the dining room and after asking to move, had a nice view of the water. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The food was just average. The mussels fra diavalo were quite good but the flounder stuffed with crab imperial was dry and bland. The main attraction is the view so if we find ourselves there again we'll stick with pizza on the deck, which is probably more their speed."

"I was not disappointed with the food or the ambience. The view out as the sun set was very romantic. The only drawback was the waitress... she took long periods to return and see how our dining experience was going. In her defense, it was only her 3rd week so hopefully she has improved her service. Plan on returning despite the service of the waitress."

"I booked this restaurant for a quiet birthday dinner for my boyfriend. Waited forever to be greeted by our server Sara.....said she was very busy....looked around restaurant was empty. Before we met Sara.....I was praying not to get the male server who was sweating profusely. Sara was nice the issue seemed to be in the kitchen. The food was average at best."

"We have a had a fantastic Mothers Day brunch at Chesapeake Inn 2 years in a row now. My wife enjoyed the first one so much, it was a given that we'd be back for Mothers Day again this year. Outstanding food, wide selection and well prepared, and the atmosphere and view are fantastic. I suspect this restaurant is very enjoyable for just about any meal, and we'll certainly be back again for the brunch."

"Our family of 6 (2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 young kids) all had a wonderful meal & brunch experience on Mother's Day. The brunch buffet was massive, delicious, and kid/adult friendly. My young kids had plenty of choices - from fresh fruit, made-while-you-wait waffles, cheese, crackers, scrambled eggs,to pastries, bagels, muffins, etc. The adults in our party enjoyed the crab cakes, prime rib, salads, salmon,& side dishes galore. Dessert was amazing - lots of mini-sized treats allowed us to sample a few. There was even a gluten-free option for my diabetic father. We ate outside on the new terrace - phenomenal!"

"This is a great place to go for a special occasion. The food was good but the view was great! Looking out on the water as you eat dinner is always a wonderful way to spend an evening. "All I can say is that this place has got it together. I wanted to take my mom somewhere for Mother's Day that was a little more upscale than the traditional breakfast chains. When I saw the brunch buffet menu, I knew I had to get us reservations. Every point in the dining room looks out at the Chesapeake Bay and there are windows all around looking out at the marina, which was wonderful. We requested a seat right at a window and they accommodated our request. Everything I ate was amazing. From the omelette (lump crab meat, cheese, peppers, onions & old bay seasoning) to the crab bisque soup (probably my FAVORITE dish) to the crab cakes and many side dishes. Great coffee! Oh, and the apple tart at the dessert bar was outstanding!"

"Drove a long distance to get here, only to be seated next to a wall with no view. We were a party of four; arrived at our reservation time, but a table was not ready. When we asked for a different table (with a view), we were told that the wait would be another 20 minutes. With only about 40% of the place filled, there were several 8-ups available, but no 4-ups. We called their bluff and got up from the table just as the waiter arrived with water. He seemed rather upset with the hostesses and told them, "just seat them at the 8-up; no one is using them and no one is coming to use them." Sure enough, that's what we did. After that, everything was great!"

"I went with some out of town guests. They have never been there before. We chose to dine inside because it was relatively cold even for a day in May. Matt was our server and he did a fabulous job of ensuring each guest was taken care of. The food was delicious too. Great dining experience. After eating we proceeded downstairs to enjoy the nightlife, which was very convenient. The entertainment was amazing! Our server downstairs was Faith and she too was very attentive."

"The experience overall was very good. Ordered the specialty salad of the day that featured roasted pear and it contained none. Crab cakes were a tad soggy and vegetables were under steamed. Overall, a great try--chef is almost excellent but lacks an eye for detail as the service is slow 65 minutes to entree is slow. You will wait between courses."

"This was the second time we chose this restaurant. We surprised our daughter for her 26th birthday with an unbelievable dinner. The food is perfecto. Every table receives a basket of mixed artisan breads. Every table you can see a beautiful view. You come here for the food, the view, and the ambiance. You are not disappointed here. We will be back again and again."

"We live the Chesapeake Inn we were married there a year ago, and it seemed fitting to go back for our First Anniversary. We were a little disappointed that no one acknowledged our Anniversary and we even put it in the Open Table notes. They were so attentive to us when we were planning our wedding we were suprised that no one acknowledge our Special Occasion. However, the service was incredible our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious!"

"The view from the dining room is beautiful. The dining room was quiet and was a great place for couples. I had the Perfect 10 which was a filet and a crabcake. I must say it was the best crabcake I have ever had. I found the prices to be a bit on the high end. We returned the next night and ate at the area they call the deck. The food was still very good and the prices were far more reasonable. Not to mention the view was even better. The only downside of the deck is it was VERY noisey! The deck is a great place to party with friends"
