"Finally a dining experience which makes you feel normal. Recently found out I have Celiac and need to maintain a Gluten Free diet. Hard to go out now to eat because of this restriction. I felt like a kid in the candy store with so may choices. Was very happy to find this restaurant that had a large menu choice. Food was great and so was dessert. My daughter had no diet restrictions and her food was great too."

"In town visiting Hershey Park for the weekend and looking for a place that took reservations near the park. Piazza Sorrento fit the bill and had good reviews on yelp and open table. We weren't disappointed. We were a bit skeptical about whether we'd mad the right choice when we pulled up and discovered the restaurant is located in the same building as a mini mart and gas station, but don't let the exterior dissuade you. The food was very good and the service was fast and friendly. Overall, it was a great place to go with the kids after a long day at the park."

"I am gluten free. Your GF menu is wonderful and very tasty. I have mentioned it to other GF friends. It's wonderful to know that there is a restaurant in the area that got GF right! I had Anne Maria lasagna, cheese steak soup and cheesecake...all were the greatest! APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! Thank you so very much. As for our table of 7, the consensus was an astounding 10! Also we can't let out your staff...bravo to them. An overall 100% dining pleasure. We'll be back and so will our family and friends."

"Been there before and the food is always good, especially the homemade specialties. It always seems to be busy and the noise level can be difficult for conversation. Reservations are always a good idea. Wait staff has always been pleasant. They do give the choice of small portions which is wonderful unless you want to take home your lunch for the next day. Regular portion size are large."

"We have dined at Piazza Sorrento many times, and every time I dine there I forget why I keep coming back... Until the food arrives. It is definitely some of the best in the area. If only this restaurant could get the service part right. One waitress in particular has literally never gotten my order correct in all of my visits there. Just as I am fed up with the service, dessert comes and makes up for everything."

"My sister and I tried Piazza Sorrento when we couldn't seem to get a reservation at any of the Hershey Hotel restaurants. Wow, were we happy that we came here. Not only were the waitresses absolutely lovely, but the food was delicious. We were so happy with everything that we came back the second night. I have very specific dietary restrictions and the chef prepared the food perfectly. Everyone went out of their way to make our experience there wonderful. It was so nice to come to a family owned restaurant where everyone there cares so much about making their guests feel comfortable and enjoy everything. I would highly recommend taking your family here. This is by far one of the best family restaurants I have ever been to!"

"This was or first Sat. night we dined at Piazza Sorrento. The food, as always, was delicious. One member of our party commented on how tasty the gluten free meal was. There was no wait for our reservation, but once seated,the service was very slow, which was a problem for a young one in our party. It was quite busy and there did not seem to be enough servers for the number of diners. The owners could not have been nicer and we will continue to dine here. We may choose to do so for lunch or for weeknight dinners."

"This was the first time my family has been to this restaurant. I heard so many good things, but never had the opportunity to dine here until now. I must say that this is now my new favorite Italian restaurant. From start to finish I do not have any complaints. Everything that we tried was excellent!! Not only that, the staff was extremely friendly. I also really like the fact that the owners were present and played a very active role in the dinner service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food."

"The House Specialty - Grilled Gnocchi is worth the trip. The services is lacking so do not be in a rush. The appetizers and soup were not special but did I mention the Grilled Gnocchi!!! The main drawback to the evening was that despite our having reservations, we had to wait a good 20 minutes or more standing in the doorway in a very crowded area, having to move every time someone came in or out. They apologized and said our wait was because they had some unexpected large groups and were giving some time for the kitchen to catch up. Would have been better to be seated for the wait, even if they said they needed to delay our order for a bit, at least we would have been more comfortable than standing in the entrance way and could have enjoyed a beverage and maybe some bread. That being said, the grilled gnocchi was outstanding, the salad was decent, and the bread was good, too."

"We had reservations for 6:00 since we were going to see Jersey Boys down the street at 8:00. We should have had plenty of time, but service was horribly slow. We were not the only ones who suffered. We didn't even order appetizers (and had no time for dessert). We didn't even get drinks (which were 3 waters and an iced tea because after we chose our food some of us were getting a glass of wine) for 10 minutes. Crab cakes and Garlic Shrimp pasta and lobster ravioli (standard dishes) were all good - and one of us ordered a chef special and it was good, too, although not something to rave about. Our server apologized that a large table got in front of her."

"the food preparaion was excellent - the sauces delicate and flavorful - my shrimp w/ pasta in a garlic tomatoe sauce was full of garlic (at my request) the homemade pastas were delicious others enjoyed the crab cake special, the grilled gnocci, and i cant recall the other pasta dish but everyone was very pleased authentic well prepared dishes worthy of NYC (were we were 2 weeks ago for 2 great dinners) portions are appropriate if you want a huge plate of pasta lathered with sauce you go to olive garden if you want fine food go here we were asked if it was our first visit and the owner and his wife stopped by our table to introduce themseves and welcome us to their restaurant very classy"

"If I had friends that were going to the Hershey area, I don't think this would be one of my top choices to recommend. The food was okay, but the service was very good. However, we were told this is an upscale restaurant, by no means is this an upscale restaurant. Maybe for the area this is considered upscale??? They had a nice bar which you can also order off the regular menu. I think if I was go back, that's where I would sit. The pasta dishes were good, not great. Overall, I think it's overated by the other reviewers."

"We decided to try this place out over Valentine's weekend. As expected, the restaurant was very busy but we were seated as soon as we arrived... That's a big plus! After being sat at a smaller table, we asked if we could be moved to one of the open booths and they accommodated without hesitation. Our server was very knowledgeable, attentive and extremely friendly and that seemed to be the same for the entire staff. No complaints about the food. I thought my lobster fra diavolo was above average and my fiancee thought her crab tortellini was fantastic. The calamari appetizer was big enough for the both of us but the flavor was a little bland. I'm sure we will be visiting this restaurant again in the near future."

"First time at Pizza Sorento the food was excellent. Had the parmesan chicken it was delicious and my friend had the chicken picatta which was wonderful also. The service was great and food was wonderful. Thw onny thing is that the noise level in the dining room is really loud because it is a smaller space with alot of tables. Other than that would go back for lunch or dinner again anyday."

"Not impressed. We went there for Valentine's Day dinner based on recommendation of friends. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The Veal Marsala was thick, tough and with very little Marsala sauce. The other entree was better but nothing to write home about either. The server did nothing to improve our dining experience.
We have removed Sorrento's off our list of places to dine"

"We had this restaurant recommended to us by someone who lives in Hershey (we were from out of town.) It was a very busy night since there was a marriage seminar meeting nearby which had 900 couples attending and they were all given the task of going out to eat Saturday night. Although it was busy we had made reservations through Open Table the day before and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The staff took things in stride and provided us with a lovely night out."

"One of our go-to places for Italian food. All the pasta and sauces are freshly made daily on site. The service is excellent, the owners are available and outgoing. The food is delicious. We had the chicken marsala and it was cooked perfectly. We have also had several pasta dishes and have never found them wanting. All in all, a great place for both lunch and dinner."

"I have to say we excited to try this new restaurant. it was for a valentines day dinner so we were expecting better. They seemed to be underprepared for the crowd, the kitchen was slow, and our waitress was not very cheery. Some people actually got up and left after sitting for a long period of yime before even being greeted by the waitress. We had a long wait for our food, red snapper, and was disappointed because it was overdone. We will probably give it a second chance, however, because they handed out cards for a percentage off a future dinner due to the slow service."
