"There were 4 people in our party. The salads were beautifully presented and were very good. The main dishes were amply sized. My entre, the 'ear' pasta, was good, but a little bland. (I like things very spicy, and this was not spicy at all.) The restaurant was full by the time we left, and it was very hard to hear each other talk at that time."

"I am not sure if the service was so poor because it was super busy and they were not prepared for it or if it is always this bad. We sat without water for most of brunch, plates took a long time to be cleared, dessert was brought out at different times so some people finished and had to wait for the last plate to arrive. Food was pretty good my salmon was slightly over cooked (I like mine medium) but that is to be expected in most Colorado restaurants."

"We went here for Mother's Day, and the restaurant was packed. It took awhile for us to be waited on, but after our waiter took our order, he seemed very rushed and not eager to make this a relaxing experience for his guests. The food was definitely better than the service."

"It could have been a nice dining experience. Maybe because it was Mother's Day and VERY crowded...but the noise level was totally unacceptable. We couldn't hold a conversation at all. The food was quite good, the presentation was very nice. It's too bad that the noise level was so high that it made the experience so stressful."

"What with Prom and all the folks that flock to Venice for the 7:30PM seatings.... this place was crowded and had difficulty moving folks to a table. Don't get me wrong, I like an energetic bar. The hostess and one of the bartenders were certainly enjoying sipping on wine with a crowd and they were offering free proseco; but it was crazy noisy, crowded and barely in control. The waiting space is small; made smaller by prom groups. The service was okay- we had to ask if we could order. At around 9:15PM everything cleared and calmed down but I would reconsider ever going at 7:30PM again."

"This is a delightful neighborhood Italian restaurant & really oh so much more. The veal dishes are incomparable, which is what we usually order. The seabass is a delicious alternative. We've tried many appetizers and salads in our many trips here, and they've all been delicious. We've settled on the pear salad, since it is delightful but not too filling. Every dessert we've tried is yummy, but our favorite is tiramisu, followed closely by the profiteroles (filled with chantilly cream rather than ice cream). The breads are fresh from the oven. The entire service staff is warm and friendly, but we have a favorite waiter who makes the dining experience especially warm and friendly. This is our favorite Denver area restaurant."

"This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had in a while. The food was excellent and our waiter Alberto was wonderful. He allowed us the time to actually enjoy each course and did not rush us through at any time.
We have already recommended the restaurant to family and friends, and we will definitely be dining there in the future.
The only downside to the evening was the noise level, but the food and service more than made up for this."

"The service for my Mom's birthday dinner was superb. The burrata cheese plate was good- not great, calamari plate was good but under seasoned. The entrees were very good, pasta cooked perfectly. My son's dish was served with wild rice, and it was grossly undercooked and inedible. The server took a clean fork to it right in front of us, and agreed. We enjoyed a complimentary dessert and proseeco as we celebrated Mom's 71st birthday. The restaurant is incredibly noisy when full. It is difficult to carry on a conversation at a table larger than 2-4 people. This is a drawback- especially for older folks who are challenged by excessive ambient noise."

"Dinner with my wife and granddaughter for her birthday. She ordered soup which was served almost cold, my wife's pasta had way too much sauce on it which gave it a glue like texture, my veal had sat under the heat lamp too long so was crisp at the edges and tough and my granddaughters ravioli tasted like dough. The highlight of the evening was our waiter who did his best to overcome the deficiencies in the quality of the food. He was effficient, very attentive and pleasant."

"The food was tasty, although somewhat overpriced for the quality. The waitstaff was very friendly, and always seemed to be around right when we needed them. We did have to wait a bit longer for our entrees to arrive than I would have liked, but as it was a Sunday evening and quite busy, it wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, but for the price range I can think of a couple better restaurants in the metro area."

"I have been few times in this restaurant (during lunch and diner) and the food has been always very fresh, well prepare and well presented, it always tasted very good!!! The dishes are priced reasonable, especially for the quality you get and the portion size you also get. This place can be for any ocasion. Great restaurant!!!!"

"Reservation was for 7 PM. It was very crowded and we arrived at 6:55 and were seated as soon as we arrived. This place is a "Gem" in a shopping center.
The waiter was a seasoned gentleman by the name of Christopher Robin. He was very friendly, professional and knew his wines. The owner quickly came over to welcome us and wish my wife a Happy Birthday (it was in the reservation).
The service, food and wine were all excellent. Our waiter surprised my wife with a candle lite fabulous dessert."

"We always enjoy the food at Venice. It has a very diverse menu and we can always find something we love. We do however feel that they need additional wait staff as we always wait a long time to have our order taken and to get our food. I'm not sure, but I think they might need to expand the kitchen as well. Everyone is very nice and helpful but not always available when needed."

"I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. It was advertised as a daily special served in a saffron broth with vegetables. The dish arrived with roasted vegetables and no broth. I think the waiter could have told me the preparation had changed. The dish initially appeared only a bit salty but as I continued to eat, the saltiness overtook the dish and the inside of my mouth felt like it was coated with salt. I should have sent the dish back as soon as I realized the salt was too overpowering but I didn't. I told the waiter who said he informed the chef.
It was our anniversary and we received a complementary dessert. Also, the prosecco while we waited for our table was a nice touch. Usually great, perhaps an off-night."

"My husband and I had a "date night" at Venice and had an amazing time. We wanted someplace with excellent food and a great atmosphere. We got both! Our waiter was dynamic and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was packed (a testament to its quality), and was thus somewhat loud, but I had expected that from other reviews, and was not put off. Great food, great wine, great service, great date!"

"We had an 8:00 p m reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. They did provide us with a complimentary glass of wine as we waited. However, this did not help since we were there with 2 teenagers to celebrate my birthday. Service was very slow from receiving water, talking to a waiter and getting our food. The noise level was extremely high, making it necessary for the waiter to lean in close to get our order, which was very uncomfortable for my daughter. It was so loud, it was almost impossible to have any conversation through dinner. My son who wanted desert, asked if we could leave and get desert elsewhere. All in all, a very disappointing evening."

"Venice is one of our favorite restaurants and we try to visit as often as we can. We're from Casper. My 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law joined by wife and I for an Easter reunion in Denver and we picked Venice for the 1st night's dining. Everyone had a great meal and the service was outstanding. "Hosted a very large group for my husbands birthday. The staff didn't miss a beat and we were all requested separate checks which went well, without any hitch. They were able to attend to everything with a smile and the food was amazing. This is a somewhat hidden gem in Greenwood Village, away from the chaos of The Landmark DTC crowd or parking hassle of Cherry Creek. Very busy place, but still romantic and charming. "We reserved table on open table. Our reservation was at 8.00. We were there on time. But place was so packed that we had to wait for 30 min. Manager came and apologized couple times. Also offered glass of free champaign. Food was really good especially desert. Waiting staff on the other hand was not great. I know they were busy initially but later as crowd started to disappear they became lazy. For every step we had to wait for long time. Overall nice experience except for wait. I will definitely give it a one more try."
