"We went to Aria for our 15th wedding anniversary. We've lived in Atlanta for 7 years and like to try new places for special events. My husband had the lamb shank and I the braised duck. We did not drink alcohol so cannot comment on the wine list. For dessert I had the cheesecake and my husband the chocolate creme pie. We found the preparation of the food to be very good. Neither dish was particularly inspired but were very well done, balanced, and tasty. Portion size was perfect. The cheesecake was phenomenal. The food is very similar to the Wrecking Bar Brew Pub, which is not an insult. The Wrecking Bar has excellent food and is recommended to anyone looking for great food but not necessarily interested in the whole fine dining experience."

"My wife and I were very excited to finally check out Aria. We are fans of Canoe and thought that Aria would be the same, if not better. We couldn't have been more wrong. Neither of us liked our meals. I had the rib-eye, and while it was a great cut of beef, the flavors were not developed to my liking. My wife had the filet and she was disappointed too. If you order the salmon appetizer, don't expect anything close to the appetizer served at Canoe. Practically the same ingredients, but Aria's version is less satisfying. Drinks are overpriced. $16 for a Hendricks martini? I've ordered that drink at many fine dining restaurants and typically paid $12-$14."

"My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Aria. It was the first time for both of us. There is no question why it is one of the top ten restaurants in Atlanta--food, wine (diverse but just a bit on the expensive side) and service are all a notch above. This is a great, energetic restaurant in which people go to be seen but not my favorite ambience for a quiet, romantic dinner with the hubby. We definitely look forward to a trip back though!"

"We celebrated our Anniversary at Aria. It was a wonderful evening. We were warmly greeted by name and shown to our table. Our Waiter appeared quickly, bringing champagne. The food was excellent, the wine was delightfully paired with the food (pork), and the Chocolate Cream Pie for dessert was to die for!!!!! We have never been disappointed when dining at Aria. The surroundings are lovely, a very attentive wait-staff, and the food - the BEST in Atlanta."

"This restaurant nevers ceases to amaze me. I have eaten here multiple times over the last 10+ years and I am never disappointed in the quality of the food. Melt in your mouth braised beef short ribs to perfectly prepared pan seared halibut with nothing short of perfectly prepared braised leeks. The wine list is great, a little overpriced for wines by the glass, and the service can be a little off on occasion, but the food more than makes up for both. Most recently we also had the lightest chevre strawberry cheesecake that I could have eaten entirely for my dinner."

"Being big fans of Canoe, thought it was time we experienced Aria. Went for a 'date' night with the hubby. While the restaurant is very loud, the food and service make up for the noise level. Our drinks were delayed and as a result, we were brought two complimentary bowls of soup and were not charged for our drinks. This was unexpected and appreciated. Hubby ordered the pork tenderloin and had a glazed look of bliss while devouring his meal. I had the herb crusted lemon sole and it was amazing. The scallop appetizer was also wonderful. My butterscotch pudding for dessert took me to my happy place. Simply said: great attention to detail by the staff and incredible food...Aria is a new favorite and will become a staple in our dining routine."

"The service was impeccable and the food was divine. My wife and I celebrated our "senior" birthdays with her brother and his wife (both foodies from California). We had just about every type of fish on the menu--crab cakes, scallops, trout, halibut and lemon sole. They were all cooked to perfection and the accompanying foods complimented each of the entrees. The red and yellow beets were outstanding.

"We went for our fifth anniversary, and we mentioned the occasion on our reservation online. Our waiter, George, knew our names and what we were celebrating when we were seated, without asking. They had selected a corner booth that was a bit more tucked away and made it easier to talk despite the noise of a packed house. I loved the attention to detail they took in making our anniversary special. George was awesome. He checked in frequently but didn't hover, and he made knowledgable suggestions about the menu when asked. He was very friendly and made us feel at ease right away. He even had them write "Happy Fifth Anniversary" on the edge of our dessert plate.
Interior is a bit 90's decor, but who cares. The food mattered more, & it rocked"

"I was a little disappointed. When I spoke with the young lady confirming reservations a spoke about the fact that it was a birthday dinner, she said that they do have dessert for the birthday person with no charge. However, I noticed after the fact that they did charge. In the big picture I would not make a fuss, but since they offered they should have followed through."

"Aria was fantastic! My husband and I were celebrating our 19 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place for dinner. Great ambiance and wonderful food. We both selected the Chef's Tasting menu which was five courses (six including dessert). Everything was outstanding. I highly recommed this restaurant! We'll definitely go back!"

"I took a group of my fellow Doctors to treat them to a night to remember. Aria stepped up to the occasion. The waiter was very informative and helpful. Service was outstanding! The depth of flavors in the food were multi-dimensional. I will definitely be back for another amazing experience! One of the comments from one of my colleagues was, "I felt like I was dining at the table of a Kings feast!" We all love it!

"I ordered the Steak au Poivre with a hot pink center. The steak came to my table well done. The steak was sent back and I asked the server, once again, to send me a steak with a hot pink center. He came back in a few minutes and asked, "Do you want your steak au Poivre butter-flied?" I said, "No."
The steak came out cut in half and more well done than the first one. I couldn't eat the Steak au Poivre so I took it home and plan feed my waste disposal.

"I only had an entree and a dessert. I should have came with a bigger appetite. The lamb shank was perfect. And the chevre cheesecake was by far the best and most unique cheesecake I have ever had. The wine list was good and the food was reasonably priced.
It's modest enough to go for dinner with a friend, yet fancy enough for a romantic anniversary date as well."

"I have to admit, my expectations were too high for Aria so I left somewhat disappointed. It was Restaurant Week, though we did not order off the fixed menu. Our meals were a bit subpar: my pork shoulder was very dry for such a fatty piece of meat, and my girlfriend's brisket was also dry and unseasoned - she did not even attempt to finish it. On the plus side, the dining room was beautiful if cramped. For the price, I will not be coming back."

"This review will be short and simple. This is the best in Buckhead by far. Service, Food, Ambiance - exceptional. Try the flash fried oysters for starters, sweet potato and lobster soup (may be seasonal or just served only for Buckhead restarurant week) and then choose the braised short ribs for your entree. Believe me, you will not want dessert. There is no need to top off your dinner with something sweet - you will be tooo full. I love the decor of this place, it's small and yet charming. Go early and have a drink at the bar then proceed with your dinner. You will not be disappointed."

"It was Atlanta Restaurant Week so it was packed on a Thursday night. The food was very well prepared and service prompt and attentive despite the crowd. They have plenty of wait staff. This was my first visit and will have to come back another time to see if they are that busy on a weekday evening.
Most tables are for 2 though they can easily re-arrange them for a larger party. It's in an old house with no acoustic treatment to the walls and ceiling so it gets noisy at peak period from 6-8 pm. Many diners are in and out within 30-45 minutes. I assume they are the regulars who pop in for a 1 or 2 course meal.
You come here for the food as the noise level is rather high to have a decent conversation with friends/companion."
