"We had tickets to the theatre and selected Cesario's based on the 4-star rating. Unfortunately the best I can say is the food was "OK" but definitely not exceptional. The food reminds me of old school Italian cooking. The dressing on the Ceasar salad tasted like bottle dressing. The mustard aioli on the carpaccio tasted more like mayonnaise. However the overall taste of the dish was good. My partner had the Penne Al Melanzane which he liked. I had Salmone alla Piccata which was perfectly cooked and tasted fine. However the accompanying risotto was a bit dry and crunchy, and the mixed vegetables were OK but a bit bland. We finished with evening with the tiramisu which was very good.
The service was pleasant, as was the ambiance."

"Flavours were wonderful. Pork loin a bit over done for my taste but wonderful seasoning. Friend's salmon was yummy; other friend's pasta was also yummy. We had an hour to have dinner as we were on our way to Marines Memorial Theatre. When we informed the waitress of this, there was no delay in taking our orders and our receiving our meals. I suggest reservations (which we had) as the place is small - well worth a visit."

"We went to Cesario's before going to the theater, and were there early, 5:30. By the time we left, 6:45, most tables were full. Very good food, service was very good--we were pleased with the experience. I had veal marsala--delicious--my husband had a prawns/linguine dish, which he also liked quite a bit."

"We were a group of 8 and we were accommodated easily, service and food were both good. I was surprised at how delicious the food actually was--this is a gem of a place that I'll be returning to, with friends, over and over. My caesar salad and eggplant penne were excellent. Portions were right sized. Bread excellent. No complaints and glad to find a new go-to place!"

"One of the good things about Cesario's is the location. If you don't want to treck to North Beach for some good Italian food, Cesario's is a good option.
It is a small restaurant, so either go early or get a reservation."

"We chose to eat at Cesario's because it was close to the Curran theater. It was great. I had the chicken parmesan which was a large portion and very very good. The restaurant is nice looking and the staff helpful and pleasant. This will be my place to go before shows from now on."

"Cesarios is a wonderful place to eat if you are downtown near Union Square and want a quiet place to eat and talk. It fit the bill. The main courses were very good, but the salads left something to be desired. The lettuce was very wilted."

"There's nothing that note worthy to write about Cesario's. It's mostly a place filled with tourists who don't know, or at least seem to have no where better to go. There were no issues, and the food is typical Americanized Italian, with not much in the way of creativity. While not bad and still enjoyable to eat, there isn't anything memorable about the food for the price paid. It tastes good, and as you'd expect it to be. You'll be able to have a decent time here. While it's a bit overpriced, consider the area it's in rather than the food you'll be getting. Service is fine, don't go thinking you're in for a gastronomic experience or anything like what you'll find in North Beach."

"This is a great place to go before the theater. The people who work there are very friendly. It's a small place without many tables, so it is quiet. I had a pasta bolognese which was pretty good. My wife had chicken parmigiana which was way good."
