"The Pad Thai was fantastic! And their ice cream is handmade from Sebastian Joe's with flavors changing constantly. Nice atmosphere and a private dining room in the back for larger parties, with your own bar and bartender, and comfortable seating for lounging before or after your meal. Highly recommended!"

"Went for an early dinner on a Sunday so didn't have an issue getting a table. The place did start to fill up later. Our service was great! Our waitress was very helpful, answered questions and made outstanding recommendations. The food was very good. Everyone really enjoyed their meals...including our 2 kids (which is saying something!). Definitely will visit again and would recommend to friends."

"Went for a bday dinner, group of four. Called to let them know we would be about 15 minutes late, which didn't seem a problem. Except when we arrived, we were seated in the bar since they had given our table away. That would have been fine, but the service was terrible. We had to flag down the waiter for a drink refill, and then he would quick take the order and take off before anyone else could put an order in. This happened several times. The food took forever to come - not surprising given a Sat night - but still longer than it should have. Also, never asked how spicy we wanted the food to be - which has always been done before. Will go back because the food is so good, but maybe not for a special occasion."

"Chiang Mai Thai is justly celebrated for its Thai cuisine. Our arty of three enjoyed soups, salad, beef, chicken, and seafood, along with dessert. All were spectacular. Chicken Satay and cheese wontons were first rate appetizers. Ginger stir fry and beef curry were of special note. The service is excellent and the rices are quite reasonable. We will return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent SE Asian food in Uptown."

"We had an OK experience, but the service was disappointing & irregular. Server #1 came to our table right away with water, which was great. Then we sat there for several minutes with our menus closed, ready to order. Finally Server #1 came over with Server #2 & watched as Server #2 clumsily took our order, without any explanation of why they were both there. Server #2 tried to leave our table before my husband even ordered! I ordered an appetizer & soup (for my meal) & asked for both items to be served along with my husband's entree. But, the appetizer was served by itself. Neither server ever introduced themselves. On the plus side, our waters were refilled regularly. Overall, this just wasn't the great service we've had here before."

"The food was outstanding but the server seemed a bit overwhelmed and unable to keep up with all of her tables. While waiting forever for our check we seen her just hanging out at a table chatting for about 5 minutes. Overall though we had a good time and the food made up for the lack of service."

"We went during Restaurant week for my husband's birthday. The food was excellent. The service, however, was really poor. Our waiter passed by our table at least five times after we were obviously done with our meals before stopping by to pick up anything. Nor did any other wait staff pick up empty dishes. My water (the only drink I was drinking) was never refilled once during the time we were there. Yes, I can ask for my own refill, but let's be honest, in a nice restaurant, how often should one have to ask for the service?
We would return to Chiang Mai Thai and hope for the same fabulous food with better service."

"Overall the experience was just “fair”. Our server Paul, was less than enthusiastic about serving us. He was not prepared to share the Restaurant Week specials, nor did we find a separate menu on the table to review offerings. We did, however, decide to go with the offerings and we both found the food to be very boring. The description of the Khao Cadeukadeek was mouth watering but it bland at best. Happy hour was decent, and the staff around us (bartenders, assistant wait staff, hostess. Etc.) were very pleasant. We do not plan to return Chiang Mai Thai ever."

Only complaint is that the food is cooked with MSG unless specifically requested not to be. Disappointing because MSG is so bad for everyone and so many people are sensitive to it. "Myself along with 6 of my friends visited for our first experience and it was extremly unpleasant. The service is horrible!!!! It took forever to get our drinks and our server wasn't friendly at all. For the entire evening she didn't once give us a genuine smile nor her name. Drinks were not ordered correctly and when we voiced our concerns we received nothing but a snooty remark. To end the night, our tab was separated incorrectly and it just left an overall bad taste in our mouth although the food was good. I wouldn't go again based on the extremly poor service we received as well as the lack of service other guests received also.
Next time I want to enjoy their food, I'll be ordering take out."

"As always the food was very good but the service was terrible. The waitress was not very helpful and the wait time for our food was extremely long unfortunatly this has happened before and we wanted to give it another shot sadly we will not return."

"Great food. Terrible service. Ordered specific plate and they forgot something the first time. They brought it back to the kitchen to fix it and forgot another thing the second time. And in the end they gave us the wrong bill. Food tastes great if they bring out what you ordered."

"The service Lacked. We sat at our tabel for 15 min befor ethe server took our order. Drink that we order were delayed. Portions were small for the price. Overall okay experience"
