"This will be our last trip to, what has to be, our all-time favorite restaurant in Orange County. Our family has dined here for 4 generations. Unfortunately, they are closing the doors and calling it quits. Our last evening was memorable and heartbreaking at the same time. Anyone who has ever dined at Villa Nova knows what I mean. Impeccable service is only outdone by the great food produced by their chef and kitchen staff. We will miss every one of them and savor the memories."

"We had been there many times, and had received a $20 certificate for our anniversary. The restaurant is closing end of the month, It was very crowded, We had a drink in the bar,we finally got our table 20 minutes after our reservation time.I felt that because we had the $20 certificate, our waiter became arrogant and condescending. Its like he just forgot about us. To be honest the food was not as good as I remembered, We asked for bread to have while waiting as he just brought our glass of wine, and he threw a package of breadsticks on table, then did bring bread. He of course forgot to take the 20 off the bill, and we were suppose to get a special desert he also forgot, then brought us a slab of Ice cream with a candle, and said on me!"

"Everything was wonderful except for one thing. There is a musty,moldy smell in the hotel and rooms and when I got home I couldn't get the smell out of my clothes or suitcase no matter how much I washed them.
The people are awesome, the food was o.k., I couldn't get use to the taste of the meat but that was just me.

"We love Villa Nova and are sad to see it being auction off this week. We were lucky to have one last meal there. About half of our table of six were disappointed in the food. Maybe the chef and/or owners are a little lax knowing that the restaurant is about to be sold. Our waiter seemed to be overworked, but nice. I think he had too many tables. I personally have degree in Hotel Restaurant management and have run fine dining restaurants before. I stand by this review."

"I will definitely be returning to Villa Nova. This place has a history and an old school feel to it that you just can not duplicate. I recommend going on a Saturday night and make sure after dinner you stop by to enjoy the piano bar. Perfect for all ages (we r all in our 30's). The old school musician can play anything you can think of. The food was great and the prices were affordable. On top of that the view of the harbor is great as was the service. Excellent for a fist date or just hanging with some friends. Can't wait to go back."

"Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Villa Nova. The food and the view were amazing. The service, however, was lacking the special touch I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The waiter came by and asked if we had been there and said to let him know if we had any questions. We each decided what we wanted and placed our menus closed on the end of the table. He came to the table about 5-10 minutes after we set our menus down and asked if we were hungry or just looking around at the restaurant/view. We told him we came hungry and were ready to order. His response" Woah, you caught me off guard. No one orders that fast." The service just went downhill from there."

"My wife and I have been going to Villa Nova for many years for special occasions and never have had a bad time, but our last visit was not up to their standard service. We had 6:30 reservations, we were told they would have a window table (which i requested on-line when I made the reservations) in 20 minutes and they would come find us in the bar. I went back after 30 minutes and they said they couldn't find us and it would be another 15 minute wait, we were finally seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. Then the waiter we had was an older gentelman that just didn't provide the personal service we saw other waiters provide. Slow service, not very friendly..."

"I had a reservation for 7pm and was not seated until 8:15pm. Then after we finally were able to place our orders 30 minutes after that, they brought our entrees out before our appetizers, and then seemed surprised when I said not to serve the appetizer now. The food was ok, but it was an otherwise horrible experience."

"Service was slow and lacaidasical. Waiter seemed uninterested in providing excellent service. Disappointed as this is our favorite restaurant. Oso bucco was not up to previous standard. It was dry and uneventfil should have selected something else."
