"We chose Cafe Ronda because of the neighborhood and reviews it had received on Open Table. We went with in the intent of having some paella and sangria. To give credit where it is due, the staff was wonderful and attentive. The scene was lively and fun. We had the artichoke appetizer which was excellent. The cauliflower appetizer was somewhat bland but ok. We ordered two paellas; the chicken & chorizo and the seafood. The rice was so over salted on both dishes that the flavors of the meats and fish were hard to find. To wash it all down we ordered sangria. At $40 per pitcher, this was equally hard to swallow. I probably will not go back."

"We had a terrific meal at Cafe Ronda. My daughter is a vegetarian so we had an all-veg meal. (I intend to return to try the grilled meats and non-veg paellas, which looked and smelled great.) Shared three tapas (fried artichokes with aioli, patatas bravas, and some simple but very flavorful fried hot peppers) and a vegetarian paella. For dessert my daughter ordered a vanilla-almond cream tart that was delicious. Wine list is very short but well chosen to match the food; sherries are featured and explained.(We had the amontillado with our tapas, and a glass of albarin~o with the paella.) The service was attentive and very friendly. This was a pre-opera dinner and service was prompt without feeling at all rushed. I'll be back!"

"My fiancee and I love tapas, and we have been to many different tapas restaurants. Before visiting Cafe Ronda, we thought Barcelona (several locations in CT) had the best tapas. Cafe Ronda put Barcelona to shame. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started out with red sangria, and it was perfect. A lot of sangrias are too sweet, or too watered down. Cafe Ronda was neither. It was a perfect blend of good red wine and fruit. All of the food was good, but the real highlights for us were the mushroom croquettes and the spinach empanadas. Whenever we get the opportunity to make a return visit, we'll certainly order those again. Aside from the amazing food, the service was excellent. The staff was quick and very attentive."

"Food was good. Service was really slow and when we received a platter with a selection of meats and cheeses, no one told us what was on the platter. We had to ask. Quarters are tight and noisy."

"Servers and bartender were friendly and nice. Nice lighting - dim, yet not too dark. The pulpo was very good and the perfect light meal for dinner for one person. The complimentary olive oil is outstandingly good - sharp flavor and spicy. The bread that accompanied it, however, was stale and should not have been served."
