Buca di Beppo - Utica
Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our décor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. "I've entertained client's, groups of senior red hat citizens, family all ages, company party..in several of your locations and have never been disappointed. Always a real treat..I usually hear ...."how did you find out about this place?' To ;can we come back ...the six year old was so upset because she didn't think Buca would have what she liked to eat. Now she wants to go back all the time. She loves Buca..from 6 to 95 years old (just took my mother and she loves your pasta- "it''s the best sauce" "do they have small portions? Thank you for saving the party. Love you guys."

"Took mom there on Sunday. Asked three times to turn off the air conditioning, it was 35 degrees outside. When people complain they should listen. Our waiter admitted that he forgot about us and forgot to turn the AC off. The food was tasty--even though we had to eat it with our coats on, good thing it was hot. Took us back timely for reservations."

"This was the second time we came and both times we had bad servers, waited an extremely long time for our food, food wasn't hot, and dishes came out one at a time instead of presented all at once. We sat with empty glasses, 2 servers asked if we would like refills and we said yes, but nobody brought anything."

"We had a 7:15 reservation for Mothers Day. We were seated by 7:20, not to bad. The problems began almost immediately after that. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, along with the cheese bread and salad. It took almost 15 minutes to get the drinks. We gave our order at that time. The next time we saw the waitress was when she told us another of the staff had take our bread. We accepted the news graciously, and informed the young lady that I was diabetic and I had already taken my insulin, and I needed the appetizer. Our salad finally arrived at 7:50. Still no appetizer. The appetizer finally arrived at 8:20. a full hour after we sat down, and 45 minutes after ordering. Our main courses began arriving 2 minutes later. Other tables had left."

"I have eaten here many times and this was the first time we had really bad service , took an hour and 1/2 to get our food and it was cold when we did get it. There were other things also like not having silverware, food portions seemed smaller, waitress filled drinks and that was about it Had to keep flagging her down. Didn't clear dishes till we were practically leaving after ordering dessert."

"We decided to try our favorite restaurant for Easter .The food was good but the service was extremely poor.No bread basket started the bad service,followed by not getting my wine and a general feeling of not really being important ,more of an inconvenience.I understand that it was a holiday,but if they were open,they should be doing what they usually do"

"We have been going there for years and the last few times of being there have just not been good service. Each of the last 3 times of being there the waiter or waitress will ask you once at the table "hey have I helped you guys before?" Each time we know we have not had them before and they reply "oh you look really familiar." The waiter we had did not right down the order and totally brought the wrong appetizer out first. We then received the right appetizer which tasted really good. They then brought the salad with our dinner which made us made because he specifically asked us if we wanted it before and we said yes. We needed refills on our waters and he picked up the glasses and then tripped right next to me and spilled evthing on me"

"Our service was the worst we've ever had. Our server took our drink order and then disappeared. He came back to take our dinner and appetizer order but didn't bring the drinks. After a VERY long time, our dinner arrived...still no drinks and no appetizer. While we were begging the person who delivered our dinner to get our drinks (which were water and a soda), someone else delivers our appetizer (not our server). A couple of minutes later our server comes by to check on us and again, we ask for our drinks. He apologizes and does bring our drinks at that point. The entire meal was a waste. This was a surprise for my husband for Valentine's Day and I wished I would have went somewhere else. We drove 40 minutes to get there."

"My wife and I went there on Valentine's day for a romantic dinner
When we got there, they escorted is throughout the whole resturant when we told them it was our first time. Then we went through the kitchen and the cooks all said hello to myself and my wife.
We set down at our table and our server was over within a minute to get our drink order. Since we were new, she gave us some recomendations, but, my wife wasn't feeling well so we got some pop instead of wine or a mixed drink.
We were a bit lost on the menu, but the waitress explained it all. Since we don't eat italian food very often, we told her what we liked and she pointed out thinks that were good. We got spagetti with meatballs (YUM) and Chicken Sampotti(??).

"Awesome place, as u are seated to a table they walk u thru the kitchen to see how they work all the chefs say hi and are very clean! They show u each room they have to offer which is very cool. Food is family style dining which mean they come in portions you have to share unless your really hungry!"

"I had taken my daughter's family here on Sunday, 2/10/13. Atmosphere good, food good,every thing going well until my two grandchildren weren't served their food. They sat there patiently for almost 50 minutes had gone by before receiving their food. It took the 'fun' out of eating together.
We were compensated by the chilren's meals being free."

"Having dined at Buca in Northern California, I had my heart set on on the penne arrabbiata I had enjoyed there. I talked myself out of it and ordered something else (veal parmesan) on this visit. It was quite good, but now I'll have to go back and order the pasta dish.
