Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. "We had a very nice time. There were 6 of us. The only problem we encountered is ordering large vs. small. It would have been helpful if our waitress had suggested small portions vs. large. We had so much leftover food. We took it home, but it was just unbelieveably too much left over. Lesson learned, order small portions. But as a result, we paid for way too much food that we did not need."

"PLEASE HIRE SOME MORE FRIEDLIER, EDUCATED AND WELL MANNERED HOSTS! I arrived 15 mts earlier and was told they were behind 30 mts. I totally understood it. 30 mts passed and I asked what was going on. The girl was so rude I almost left. Too sad the food is good but the service is sub par. Will never take a big group to BUCCA."

"I can't believe we were seated right when we got there (we had a reservation, but that doesn't always mean anything!). The server and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our server was able to recommend food that we all would like, and helped us understand how much we would need to order to serve the 8 people in our party. The food was delivered quickly and was so tasty! It was a fantastic experience and I will absolutely be back soon!"

"For a party of 9, that included 3 kids aged from 5-11, it was over $200 after added 18% gratuity. Based on the ordering structure that is offered at Buca,which makes it more of a family-style meal, the pricing can really set you back. For a family of 3-4, I think it would be much more in line, but for groups, not so much. Also, be sure to ask the same questions you have about the menu to all servers that come to your table, as you have to pull helpful ordering information out of some, while others offer tips( too bad they weren't the primary server, their info would have helped greatly PRIOR to ordering). All in all, food was very good. I feel they need to rethink giving one server two 9+ tables at the same time..."

"First time ever that we had a terrible waiter. It was my birthday and we had to keep looking for him because he was uninterested in being help ful. Gave him a certificate for a birthday dessert . He brought the colossal brownie for $12.95 instead which we all shared. When asked about thee club certificate, he said "oh that's really nothing, it's really small". He then pocketed the certificate. When I asked for it backhoe was kind of indignant. Not the typical waitperson we have run into here before."

"Easter dinner for a group of 16. Reservation made in advance. Seated promptly and service was acceptable given the large group. My only complaint is that the chairs and tables were crammed so close together that the server could barely get through to take orders or deliver food or hear your order. Two kids orders were left off the initial order and the server actually told us that we must have forgotten to order it (when we know we didn't). We should have probably had two servers -- the one guy did the best he could for a large group."

"The bigger the group the more fun it is. We had 4 different dishes so everyone got to try some of everything and there was still some to take home. We even convinced our 4 year old to try something different (not an easy task)!
Part of our group arrived approximately 1/2 before our reservation and were seated almost immediately (on Easter Sunday!) Absolutely no pressure from the staff and we were treated royally. Will definitely be back again."

I know Buca's angle is that they sell "family-sized" portions, but I sure wish individual portions were an option. Our final bill was enormous and there's barely enough room in our fridge for all the left-overs, even after getting just the "2-serving" sizes, which are actually more like 4 servings at least.
The restaurant is *terribly* loud.
I like the fun artwork, though some of it may be considered inappropriate by conservative parents."

"I really enjoy Buca. The portions are HUGE so this is a perfect place to go out with a group of friends or for a special occasion. "I have always eaten at another Buca's. We were in louisville on business and found out that there was a Buca's I insisted to my friends that we eat there is the food was wonderful. While the food was okay it didn't compare to the other location where I eat often. Our service left a lot to be desired. We could see our waitress just standing in a doorway near our table. It took her 10 minutes to take our drink order upon arrival. I ask for the bread with oil and the basomic vinegar upon placing our drink orders we received it after our meal was served. We had to continuously ask for drink refills. At one point during our meal they seated a family of five with an elderly lady who had a walker all the way in the back of the restaurant."

"A friend of mine recomended this restaraunt to my boyfriend and I. It was a wounderful experience. We love trying out different restaraunts and new food. Our waiter was THE BEST waiter we have come across in our dinning experiences. He was always there to help us right before we had to ask for help, and the food he recomended was spectacular. LOVE the creme cake! YUM! Wish I could remember his name. Our whole experience made up for me getting us lost on our way down there. You can not leave this place in a bad mood."

"Fantastic. In one word that sums up my wife and I's experience. We have been to Bucco before and everytime we enjoy it. Our server was great, I unfortunately forget her name, but she was fantastic. We try to select something new from the menu when we go and to this point we have not been disappointed. We will surely be back. Thanks."

"Everything was great, including the service up until it was time for our check. Our server asked if we were ready for our check and I said yes. 20 min later I had to ask another server for it and still did.not get. After waiting 30 minutes and sending my husband and 2 small kids to tr he car because they were restless. I had do go to the server to pay for my meal. Was not the happiest person when I left."

"Glad we had reservations, the wait would have been very long otherwise. The amount of food in the servings were plenty. We had 7 people in our party and ordered an appertizer; salad and 3 entrees; this was enough to bring food home. The food tasted okay, it wasn't great or even memorable, just okay. I think the cost for 2-4 people would be fine, but for a party of 7 it got to be too pricey. It's very hard to get that many people to agree on 1 or 2 entrees. I'm not a big fan of extremely loud restaurants so that was a turn off for me. The waiter was on the job."

"Food was good. Service was absolutely terrible. We had a reservation for 7 for 5. Seated 45 minutes after we arrived and then waited another 15 to be first served. No manager around to tell them of the problem. We have visited this restrauants many times. Service and loudness a big factor if you want to go out to this Italian diner."

"My son went here for his Birthday and brought some food home and I loved it and had to go,so we went the next week and it was awsome, its my new favorite place to go!! We also went the following weekend and made reservations.While we waited I was enjoying watching them cook! I can't wait to take my Mom and Step-Dad.Wonderful food and great waiters and waitresses and love hows its decorated with pictures, wine bottles and the pope, gotta sit in there the next time when I bring my Mom and Step-Dad, they are Catholic...I just wish I lived closer."

"It would have been a great experience except the hostess, Mollie, checked us in and proceeded to delete our reservation. We waited almost a half an hour and finally we inquired as to why we had not been seated. At that point, Mollie, was incredibly RUDE to me and that set the tone for the rest of the evening. We probably won't return to Buca anytime soon. The food and our server were great, but considering we were there for a birthday celebration and were treated so poorly, we have crossed this restaurant off our list."
