At Bennett's we are committed to serving pure, all-natural food. Here you won't find artificial preservatives, colors or sweeteners, flavor enhancers or hydrogenated oils. What you will find are the freshest, most authentic ingredients we can offer.
Most of our ingredients are deeply rooted in the Cascadia region – an area extending from northern California to southern Alaska, and the coast to the continental divide, taking in Washington, most of Oregon, Idaho and part of Montana.
We buy from producers who share our commitment to whole foods and handmade fare. People dedicated to the simple pleasures of creating delicious food and drink the way it was intended to be made; fresh from the earth, the sea and the vine.
"I tried to stay away from Bennett's in the past because the prices are rather high, but I found that I can't stay away from their roasted chicken that comes with their mac-n-cheese and some good veggies. The wait staff is a bit hit and miss, but the location for Mercer Islanders is great and the place opens up to greet the warm weather with a decent dining patio."

"I have been to Bennett's many times and always enjoyed the staff but the bearded guy needs to find a new job. When our server was around he definitely didn't want to serve our table. In fact 1/2 way through the night he said he was leaving and gave us to a different server and I must say we were happy to see him go. He actually didn't go but stuck around for at least another hour taking care of other tables. I guess he prefers guest that dine and dash because we were there to enjoy the evening and it really seemed to annoy him which was very annoying to us.
With the switch of the servers I must saw we finally got someone that understands the idea of enjoying your friends, food and wine."

"Bennett's is a great spot for Seattle and Eastside people to meet for lunch or after work. The food is interesting and top quality and the service is very good. If you love great-tasting, fresh, Pacific Northwest fare, you'd be very happy eating at every day of the week."

"We made reservations through Open Table for brunch, but the restaurant did not have a record of our reservation even though I had email confirmation. You may want to call the restaurant to confirm that they received the reservation if made through Open Table."

"Best lunch deal during Dine Around Seattle promo! 3 good size courses for $15. We had a big group and tried everything on the dine around menu. Everything was great. The tomato soup and squash bisques are wonderful. Their staple bbq sandwich is packed with flavors. Beecher's Mac and Cheese is a crowd pleaser. Best desert option is bread pudding."

"I've been here 3-4 times for lunch and brunch. Their lunch is a great deal during Seattle Restaurant Week. Three full-sized courses for $15. Many restaurants cheap out during the promo weeks - small size, cheap prep and cheap ingredients. Beneett does its regular good food at promo price. Tomato soup is very good. BLT sandwich, BBQ sandwich and Mac & Cheese are all good. Bread pudding is good."

"I selected this bistro as I thought it would be a warm and comfortable place for a ladies birthday luncheon. We were greeted by a Man that was not very welcoming nor recognize that I had mad a reservation as two of the three of us would be celebrating birthdays. I made a 11:45 a.m. reservation. Our table had a draft from a back door that was open. I mentioned this to our waitress, and she seemed bothered to listen to me, then half heartedly offered a different table. I felt badly mentioning this, and didn't want to ruin the birthday luncheon so offered to stay. It was so cold we decided we had to move. The food was really just... ok. No offer to bring the ladies something for their birthdays. Just a OK experience."

"Everything we ordered tasted good and was nicely presented. The staff was friendly, attentive and very professional. The decor was visably appealing and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. All this while the place was packed with people from the time we walked in until we left. We were very impressed and will come back often!"

"Drove over from Seattle just for a change of scene and expected more of a special place. Pretty ordinary, decent food. Not worth going out of your way. Seemed to be a local hang out for Mercer Island regulars. I expected it to be a little upscale, but its just another jeans and fleece place."

"Bennett's Bistro is simply solid. We are regulars, but we don't take it for granted after many visits. The quality of the locally grown food, the terrific preparation, the warm and pleasant atmosphere, the friendly service, the uber-convenient location off I-90 on Mercer Island, and easy parking make it a great place to unite Seattleites and Eastsiders."
