"Disappointing Special Occasion Dinner.
Shrimp enchiladas were mostly cheese, very little shrimp. When paying the higher prices at a seafood restaurant,
we expected, and were told by the waitress, that there would be lots of shrimp in the enchilada, and a lot of
lobster in the lobster mac and cheese. Both were not the case.

Also, we ordered the mixed seafood grill. We had this plate last month at The Atlanta Fish Market for a similar price, and received almost twice as much food on the plate at The Fish Market.
After checking in with the hostess and reminding our waitress of our special occasion, the dinner was finished and we paid for the check without the restaurant noting our special occasion. :( Now we know why the place was empty!"

"While my score will not reflect my review from my latest visit, I would be remiss if I did not reiterate that my wife and I love coming here for Sunday brunch. Just not for days like Mother's day. Too many people.
We did not have to wait because we made reservations and we arrived in time. however, i needed to increase the size of our party and could not. Too many people.
Service & food quality here is generally very good, this time it was just ok. Too many people.
Need to have either rope or staff help maintain order in the buffet lines for days like Mother's Day. No need for regular days. Too many people.
We'll be back, just not for days like Mothers Day. Too many people."

"The brunch menu, the food, the presentation was no better than Golden Coral for six times the price. There was little seafood served and the food on the line was cold. It was a horrible Mother's Day Experience. The only thing that was decent was the omelet and the desert."

"We were a party of 7ppl & we had our own little room to ourselves with curtains, so there was definitely privacy which we really enjoyed! The staff were real pleasant :) not all the food had labels but there was always someone there so if you asked you would get an answer right away."

"After writing my review, it exceeded the allowable text character limit of this area by 1334 characters. So since I can't post all of my review I won't post any of it. Our visit here was bad enough not to come back again. If you want a good meal and service go to a Golden Corral. Don't waste your money on this place. I selected noise level as energetic only because there was not a selection of sporting event level."

"Wasn't worth the increased cost for Mother's Day brunch, as several items were replenished slowly, and the temperature of the food wasn't always warm. The flow of the buffet was problematic as you had to dodge through the line of people waiting to put food on their plates after leaving the line. The server we had was cordial but a little forgetful (we had to chase him down a couple of times for coffee). Food quality was subpar for the prices that were being charged as well (lobster mac & cheese with nary a smidgen of lobster). Wouldn't go again..."

"Chequers is a very nice dining facility, but because of the holiday they were very disorganized and seemed overwhelmed with the crowd. The food lines at the buffet were long and the food was not presented well. The least they should have had was two food lines, especially given the crowd size. The waiter we had gave excellent service and he was very accommodating. I would try Chequers again on a non-holiday, but my husband would never go there. Once he has a bad restaurant experience he won't try them again."

"We visited Chequers on a whim and was presently surprised. My wife did a Google search for the best brunch buffets in metro Atlanta and it was in the top 5. The food was very good! My 5-year old twins enjoyed the eggs benedict, chocolate fountain, and the mini waffles. My, 12 and 14 year olds enjoyed pretty much everything on the buffet. My wife and I enjoyed the entire experience. We made a reserveration prior to going and we didn't have to wait...good thing we made a reservation because it became crowded very quickly. The only thing that surprised us was our server. He didn't come back to our table or the tables around us to refill our sodas/coffee and to remove our old plates. Outside of this, our experience was great! We will be back."

"Had a reservation for 12:30, arrived on time and was seated immediately, party of 2. Waiter said hello, dropped off menus at 12:35 with water. Returned at 1:00 to ask if we had questions and said, "oh, do you want to order drinks?" Left to get one unsweet tea. Returned at 1:10 to take the order. 40 minutes into what should be an hour lunch. It goes on and on... Probably just an isolated occurrence, but it wasn't overwhelmingly crowded. Do better."

"The food was overall good, small portions as expected. Our waiter was terrible. I was so disappointed to receive such horrible service in such upscale restaurant. Even the lady that served bread had a horrible attitude when asked to deliver more bread to our table. The terrible service definitely overshadowed the quality of the food. "This was a business dinner. Chris was awesome in handling our table by not being disruptive. The suggestions for the group was prefect especially the group appetizer . Also one person was from CA and another from FL both stated best seafood ever eaten. I highly recommend. I highly recommend for business and will return personally for a romantic dinner."

"We went to Chequers for my husband's birthday. The greeter at the front was excellent - she quickly and brightly wished him a Happy Birthday. Our server never acknowledged the special occasion, which was a slight disappointment. As always - the rolls were excellent and promptly served. Tinge stingy with the amount of wine for the price. Food excellent, but not as much as you might receive in some other restaurants. For example, the halibut - my husband's pick - was wondeful, but not much of it for the price. For something that cost almost $30, there should have been plenty left over for another meal or two. But overall it was a very nice evening, the vibe and activity were surprisingly good - glad to see Chequers is doing so well!"

"The food was ok. Mine was exceptional, but my dates seafood was overcooked and rubbery. Service was poor. I thought I would choke to death before I received a refill on water. I suspect if I were consuming alcohol, I would have received much better attention. It is probably a hit or miss restauant. I will not be going back."

"Easter Buffett was nothing special. Disappointed in the buffet this time compared to the Thanksgiving Buffett that is done. We were told oysters and other items were on the buffett when we made the reservation. This was not the case. We had a reservation and still waited over 25 mintues to be seated. Prime Rib on buffet very very rare. Staff seemed very frustrated with the quality and were complaining about what the kitchen had sent for them to carve. Area very cluttered together with people pushing to get around the buffett and deserts area. Thanksgiving buffett here was so much better organized, logistics and food quality were much better as well."

"I made the reservation two weeks prior and was seated in the room with two huge parties of very loud people. We could not hear each other talk. Way too noisy. There were plenty of tables in them main dining area we noticed once we got our food."

"This was a return trip after having a less than stellar experience the first time. Kudos to Mary, our server, who was fantastic at her recommendations in wine and food as well as an overall pleasure to be around. "I've been to chequers for there brunch a few times but never for dinner until this day. It was wonderful and the food is great. Some places when they say grill it's really not grilled but here the asparagus was really grilled and tasty. Only thing they need to put some more cheese in the lobster Mac &cheese."
