Our AAA Five Diamond award winning restaurant is an exquisite dining experience, offering French cuisine with regional accents. Combined with Eden's Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence and ALTO Award winning service, this restaurant provides each guest with the finest in dining, service and scenic views in Banff. "From the moment we drove up until we drove away, our Eden experience was magical. No detail was left to chance. The food was exceptional, only matched by the incredible service. The introduction and education of each course by the servers and perfect beverage recommendations made the meal unforgettable. Thanks to the staff and executive chef for a magical culinary experience."

"The evening was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Not only is the view beautiful, but everything else exceeded my expectations as well.
We had the chef's tasting menu and the Eden wine pairings, and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the wine was perfectly paired. The service was nothing short of brilliant, and my date and I couldn't have felt more pleased with how the evening went.
While making the meal a weekly endeavor could get pricey, I would definitely recommend the experience for a special occasion."

"Our first experience with fine dining so I do not have anything else to compare to however I was thoroughly impressed. I had no qualms leaving a great tip. You are not only paying for the food but the extremely time consuming & artistic presentations on the plate as well as the impeccable service where you are treated like royalty. It has a casual-elegant atmosphere with many tables offering great views of Banff & the distant mountains. Detailed explanations of each course are given by the servers & what a feast for the eyes & mouth. My 2 favorite dishes were the Citrus desert & the Brome Lake Duck with Chocolate. There is also complimentary valet parking at the Rimrock Resort for those attending Eden restaurant. Go & treat yourself!"

"My husband and I dined at Eden at the Rimrock for our Anniversary dinner on the recommendation of a co-worker.
While the atmosphere and the view were great, I found the meal disappointing.
The portions, while well presented were very small. If I hadn't eaten a lot of bread at the start I would have left hungry.
I was also shocked at the markup on the wine.
We ordered an $80 bottle of wine (which was on the low side of their wine list) that I have purchased at the liquor store for under $20.
We would not go to this restaurant again."

"Well I read the reviews and they were great, thought I'd give it a shot , I used Eden as a place to unvail my proposal to my gf needles to say was the best decision ever! Going to Eden in one of the best dinning experiences you'll probly ever have , the chef is amazing , the food was creatively delisious everything has a twist to it . The ambiance really sets the mood but somthing let unsaid in most reviews is the personality of the staff , by far impressed my fiancé and I more than te beuitiful mountain views. The staff and thier quirky charm really topped off the whole experience. Thank you Eden for the most memorable memeries !!"

"First of all, great food and great wine pairings. Probably one of the best food and wine pairings I've experienced. Service was mostly good for most of the night.
Now the issues, this is noting the price paid for the meal/experience.
We did the Chef's tasting menu and a wine pairing.
This is a 6 course tasting menu for $129 without wine pairing.

One of the courses was cereal. Yes, cereal with warm goat's milk. Was it good? Yes. But for a $129 6 course tasting menu, I felt the value was not there.
The rest of the courses were very good and among some of the best I've tried.
Knocking my rating 1 star for the cereal course."

"The most amazing dinner I've ever had. Presentation of the food is top notch. We had the three course meal and both the food & service exceeded my expectation. Highly recommends the Sea Urchin Velouté and Angus Beef Ribeye. The view was breathtaking. Bravo's to the chef."

I've had Fine Dinning and Tasting Menu experiences in the past but this restaurant surpassed my expectation. The restaurant catered to our every need and were at our service and attentive without being overwhelming or disruptive. They were very accommodating and conscious of allergies and adapted the menu in consequence.
The waiters knew the menu and each plate was described in detail. Any questions were quickly answered and if they didn't know they were quick to get an answer. Nice wine list and excellent wine pairing and recommendation.
Nothing but excellent things to say about this restaurant, the staff and the Chef."

"used to be excellent, and one of my favourite restaurants in Canada. Last visit they gave away my special-request, special-occasion, table because I was 15 minutes late (due to snow-storm). Ok, maybe I should have called, but I was kinda busy watching the road. Food is still excellent but seems like they have gone a litte over the top with presentation. Service isn't a good as it was a few years ago, and some of the staff aren't very good with English. In general, this place is very good, but overpriced and no longer worth the money."

"We had a special occasion dinner planned at Eden in the Rimrock Hotel in Banff and it did not disappoint. The chef came up with all kinds of amazing creations, imaginative dinnerware and extraordinary tastes. He put together some combinations that I have never seen and we did the wine pairings which were fantastic. His amuse bouche was delightful a macroon with beet puree, a frogs leg tempura and ash ortbread cookie with cheese spread very whimsical and fun. The potato salad was a deconstructed thing of beauty from the poached quails egg to the potatoes wrapped in edible clay. A very fun and exciting menu and excellent service from all staff. A beautiful view and a very romantic setting. All in all an excellent find"

"Since our last visit 1 year ago there seems to have been an effort to moderize presentations - this was absolutely exquisite. The service was at it's usual outstanding level, friendly and warm, attentive but not intrusive. Two of my dishes fell just short - although they were composed of entirely yummy things - everything on the plate was individually delicious - they weren't really unified as a whole dish. As a result, the wine pairings met with less than total success as the success of the pairing depended on what bite you had in your mouth."
