Trellis with the truly unique upstairs patio, Trellis offers, "al fresco dining" along with it many other charms. The new low carb seasonal menu, the vibrant specials and the daily homemade bread, soups and desserts are tantalizing. A warm-comfortable dining room and banquet-catering facilities with 2 full bars, insure that Trellis is the choice for any occasion. Banquet facilities are available for groups from 10 to 120 guests and the Chef will gladly consult on any special banquet catering needs.

"This was the second time I've eaten at Trellis. The first time we sat inside, and while it's nice, it wasn't anything special. Plus I was a little disappointed in their bread (foccacia-like, rather than the pugliese-type bread I prefer at Italian joints) and olive oil (there is fuzzy black crud in the bottom of their bottles). The food that first time was okay, but nothing remarkable. On the whole I didn't care for it that much.
But this second visit was totally different. It was a warm afternoon and the patio felt really nice and breezy. The olive oil and bread were still meh but I liked my entree (pork medallions and grilled risotto) much more. I would say go for the entrees over the pastas."

"had Mothers day brunch Sunday. food was great, service excellent, staff very friendly. we ate inside, but they have a wonderful rooftop patio for outdoor dining also. in a town full of wonderful little restaurants, Trellis is right up there among the best"

"We absolutely LOVE Trellis in Menlo Park. The Suzanne's downfall is a MUST have! The waitstaff are friendly and happy to oblige. Kurt, the owner is wonderful and very accommodating, We go there quite frequently and love the al fresca dining on the roof. We have had numerous family dinners there and will do so again! There is a private room upstairs and ther is no extra charge for it's use. We absolutely love this gem of a restaurant!"

"My husband and I love the Trellis. In several visits, just us or with friends, every entree has been wonderful. And since we first tried the Tiger Prawn appetizer, we always get it. Mind you, my husband isn't that fond of prawns! We like sitting on the upstairs terrace the best. When the grapes are ripe, the owner comes around and offers tastes."

"this was the first visit to The Trellis; I dined alone, early in the evening; it was very quiet with only two other single diners. the service was very attentive without hovering; and the food was nicely presented and delicious. having dietary restrictions, the server was very helpful with offering different options.
there is an outdoor rooftop dining area but I did not check it out.
I will definitely return."

"Had a wonderful time at Trellis. Our waiter was a bit scattered but made up for it by not charging us for the dessert he forgot. The polenta appetizer was to die for. The flavor so good and and the polenta so creamy. The prices were very reasonable including the wine list. So enjoyed my veal scallopini with lemon/caper sauce. All in all a very nice dining experience. Will return."

"Trellis has excellent food. The owner goes around to each table to check on his guests and listen to what they have to say. All waiters except for one exhibit old world formality. The one who doesn't is exhuberant, funny, and demonstrative. All pay close attention to detail. When the weather is warmer, a rooftop dining area surrounded by trellises has heaters for those feeling chilly. Upstairs is a second bar (one is downstairs) adjacent to a banquet room. Trellis is a has a more romantic mood than most restaurants."

"Trellis has a great staff catering to you the way a fine restaurant should. The menu, while a good selection of Italian dishes, is prepared with care using only the freshest of ingredients. The fresh spinach salad with Goat cheese was light with a topping of cheese and nuts. The Scallopini Veal was delightful and the sauce was made to perfection. This was my first visit and i will return soon to sample more of their dishes!"
