Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar is located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, just across the Cooper River from the historic city of Charleston. Chef and owner Patrick Langdon Owens has taken Lowcountry cooking to a different level. Crispy local grouper served atop brie grits with applewood smoked bacon chardonnay basil cream or pepper crusted tuna over baby greens with avocado relish and wasabi-topped with fried leeks are just two of the many wonderful selections that are featured at Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar.
"Service a little slow which is unusual. Music has changed which isn't great. Used to be nice jazz. Now it's loud blues. Wish they would go back to jazz which added to ambiance."

"This is definitely my favorite restuarant in Mt Pleasant! Yes, it is pricey, but if I'm going out for a nice dinner where the food is great and the staff are all so wonderful and they don't rush you through your meal, hey, I don't mind paying the price. They have a nice wine list and I had the shrimp and polenta appetizer which my friend and I shared. For my entree' i had the market fish which happened to be a pan seared grouper which was excellent! I do recommend reservations especially for dinner as the resturant does fill up fast."

"My wife and I celebrated our 19th wedding annv. at Langdons. I mentioned in my reservation about our special night and were greeted with champagne at our table. Food was incredible and service, (Tripp), was very professional. The filet mignon was the best I have ever had. Get the wilted spinach as a side, it was awesome. Langdons is a leader in the Mt. Pleasant restaurant scene."

"We are hard-to-please foodies - and the food here was exquisite. From several small plates that included goat cheese gnocchi, shrimp/grit cakes, and shrimp bisque, to the chef's 'other-worldly', delicious take on the ubiquitous shrimp and grits - we were in heaven from start to finish. Even the manager had a hand in our perfect evening The portions of both small plates and entrees offer just the right amount of food. All of the wait staff were well-trained -- professional, pleasant, and unobtrusive. Although we are parents, we especially liked that Langdon's did not have the feel of a "family restaurant" -- it felt like an upscale restaurant for adult fun on a Saturday night. Loved it. We will return."

"Langdon's was a great choice for our anniversary dinner. The food and service were excellent. I work in the hospitality industry and i receive a lot of inquiries about restaurants in Charleston, will definitely put Langdon's at the top of the list. When I made the reservation I mentioned that it was our anniversary and asked for a booth. Not only did we receive a nice booth that was quiet and romantic, but the hostess, manager and server all came over to wish us a happy anniversary. We received excellent service, great attitudes from everyone there and the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning to Langdon's."

"Went there for my husband's birthday. Food and service were fabulous as always. Langdon's is still the best fine dining in Mt. Pleasant, hands down. No wonder they're the only 4-diamond restaurant east of the Cooper. Will be back again and again."

"My mother and I returned to Langdon's this week after having lunch there last week. There were so many dishes we wanted to try! The food was, indeed, delicious. My mother ordered the special and it was fabulous! Unfortunately, the daily meal special is advertised as including tea. My mother ordered hot tea. The waitier neglected to specify that the offer only included iced tea. So my mother was suprised and disappointed that she was charged $3 for her hot tea. Even when questioned about it, the waiter was unable to adjust the bill. Given that he mentioned that he had encountered this issue in the past, you would expect he would notify a guest at the time of order that hot tea is not covered in the lunch special."

"I have been eating at Langdon's since it opened, and I have never been disappointed. Service is always excellent, and the food is never less than delicious. Fare is local, fresh, and innovative. I would say that all is well done at Langdon's, but my meals have never been overcooked."

"We don't consider ourselves foodies or gourmet diners. Though every now and then we do love a good meal and will spend the money necessary to get it. At Langdon's the food quality is great and always cooked perfectly. When we leave there and have spent enough money to buy a weeks worth of groceries, it doesn't hurt."

"We eat at Langdon's often; and it is always outstanding, but this week, they outdid themselves. Everything from salad and appetizers to the entrees and dessert was exceptional. The service was also excellent."

"Great meal. Went for mothers day brunch. I would not say this is kid friendly. Not much to choose from for kids and while my wife and i enjoyed the meal- we have 3 kids that we love to go out with so we tend to gravitate towards places that are more accomodating to kids."

"Had trouble getting into restaurants downtown due to a very busy weekend with graduations etc.. Delighted we ended at Langdons instead. The meal, which I can honestly say, was one of my overall best I ever had in the Charleston area. Been there 3 or 4 times, and think it was Terrific and will continue to recommend it highly to my friends. Job well done!!!!"

"Langdons was our best dinner out in a long time. From the awesome goats cheese gnocchi, to the pepper soup through our entrees and then wrapped up with the chocolate cake with coffe ice cream it was a super meal. The service was great and the recommendations she made were spot on (thanks Abby!). Their wine selection just made it that much better."

"Everything we had was excellent. The duck was outstanding and the filet was extremely tender. I read some of the other reviews before going and several people said the portions were small. I disagree, I thought the portions were perfect and actually on the large side."

"Food is consistently good here and always has a selection that I like! I would put it against any restaurant downtown Charleston. A little gem. Waiters attentive. Booths are comfortable, some a little snug. Don't love overhead lighting here and think softer lower lighting would be much better."

"What a lovely surprise - we had no idea this hidden treasure was in Mount Pleasant! We've enjoyed different restaurants in Charleston and now Langdon's has moved to the top of the list. Not only a beautiful presentation but the food was exceptional. A very attentive staff was the crowning touch to the evening. We will definitely make Langdon's a repeat visit."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Langdon's recently. We had the soup $9 and the filet $36 You didn't need a knife to cut the steak! Everyone was very attentive and we were not rushed. The exterior of the restaurant is deceiving as it is part of a strip mall but the interior is very comfortable. The entire restaurant was packed. I highly recommend dining there."

"Tucked back in a strip center in suburban Mt. Pleasant, Langdon's was recommended by a friend and was a great choice. It appeared to be a neighborhood favorite on a Friday night with an active bar scene. We had a nice table in the dining room which is separated by a wall that buffers the bar noise considerably. The food and service were both excellent. I would recommend Langdon's to anyone looking for a great "foodie" place outside of downtown Charleston."

"This is not our first visit to Langdon's. When we visit here, we stay in downtown Charleston near several great restaurants that we love. However, it is worth driving across the Cooper River to Langdon's. Always good food and service."

"langton's is the best in Mt. Pleasant, Last night was not quite what it is usually, because normally I would rate the food as excellent. Lots of passion in place and it shows from the food to the wine and the service. Doing great."
