"After making my reservation on Open Table with a note stating that we were specifically going to see the belly dancer perform, I called the restaurant to reiterate and was told by a hostess that it was just not possible to guarantee we would be seated in the same room as the performance. The hostess had an attitude. When we arrived, of course, we were directly behind the wall between the 2 rooms and could not see the dancer at all. The service was terrible. Our waiter brought the wrong appetizers and then argued with me about which meal I ordered because he brought the wrong one. One person in our party of 6 didn't get his meal until 15 minutes after the rest of us. The food was very good. The owner did apologize for the poor service."

"Byblos has delicious food! The felafel, tabooleh, fattoush and labne with toom are all delicious appetizers. The lentil soup is thick and hearty, and the kabobs are all delicious. on the weekends, there is live music and belly dancing. The host tries to accommodate those that prefer a quieter spot in the room. The service is wonderful, especially the waitress who also bar tends who remembers your drink order from the very first time and who manages to get everything just right. During the week, the restaurant is very quiet...much too quiet for a place this tasty. C'mon, Norwood! Wake up and support your good restaurants or you will lose them eventually. All in all, we all recommend Byblos. You won't be sorry you've gone."

"We went to Byblos for our wedding anniversary. The food was divine. Everything was new, exciting, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately our service was a mixed bag. The waitress was infrequent and borderline rude in comments. The waitress' remarks were governed more by her tone than her words. We would definitely return but would prefer a different waitress."

"Very disappointing. Took my mother for Easter brunch... lamb was over cooked. Sauces and apps were ok but not exceptional in any way. Waitress had a bit of an attitude. It was unanimous, none of would go back."

"Byblos was my introduction to Lebanese cuisine a few years back and I'm so grateful for being introduced. For those that might not be familiar with Lebanese cuisine it has elements of Greek and Middle Eastern, but a flavor profile all it's own. The owner, Maurice is an active owner that takes great pride in communicating with his customers to be sure they have a top notch experience. On some nights they have Middle Eastern Music and Belly Dancing to further enhance the experience. For folks that are new to Lebanese, I would recommend one of their family platters for 2 as it comes with a wide array of traditional Lebanese specialties. Areas of improvement are meal pacing and decor."

"I chose this restaurant based on the reviews of other and its high ranking by other diners. Being from out of town, reviews were all positive for Byblos so I made a reservation. Seven of us were seated at a round table and after a consultation with the waiter opted for a "dinner for 7" based on the "dinner for 4" menu offering which he said easily could be enlarged. We were astounded by both the quality and quantity of food and ate ourselves through three courses! It was a terrific evening with helpful and knowledgable wait staff -- everyone praised my choice for our night out!"

"We were there with friends who had also been there many times. The entrees were as delicious as ever. The dessert, however, was less positive. Having ordered baklava, which has always been a very small portion but superb, was a disappointment. There was a bite-sized piece of baklawa and another piece of something that seemed to be plain phylo. Another choice was ma'mul. It was supposed to have filling, but was mostly pastry.
So go for the phenomenal hummus and baba ghannouj and wonderful entrees, but have dessert elsewhere."

"We have been to Byblos a few times in the past, and it was even better this time, if possible. We were celebrating my husband's birthday with family. Our waitress was spectacular! She was engaging, had a great sense of humor, and was very knowledgable regarding the menu. The food was fantastic, as usual. They had some specials, and we ordered two. One was an eggplant dish which may be the best thing I have ever tasted! Always warm and welcoming, Definitely worth the trip!"

"Noise level high once the belly dancing and live music started which limited personal conversation. Very nice help and great variety of Middle Eastern tastes."

"Food was great. Could not have asked for a better food server, she was polite, attentive, knew her menu inside and out, and was a pleasure. Wished this place had better parking but that can't be helped being located in the center of town."

"I was looking forward to trying Byblos despite the mixed reviews - I'm glad we weren't scared away! In hindsight, most of the bad reviews were about the service not the food, and the food was EXCELLENT! Amazing hummus, tabouli, salads, apps... by the time my salmon came (with great grilled veggies) I was stuffed. Next time we might just do apps. Our server did warn us that the kitchen was a bit behind, but honestly the food came out at a good pace and we didn't feel we were waiting at all. The belly-dancer was running late so we missed her - maybe next time. The back room had music and a few big parties, but that didn't take away from our experience (we were seated in the front room but in view of the entertainment). We will be back!"
