"We have been to PGs three times now. Each time the food experience has been less enjoyable than the year earlier. The restaurant should be so good, great location, nice owner, lovely interior. However the food to us is a let down, too much on the plate and excessive use of the fryer - crispy lobster tails turns out to be lobster tails deep fried in batter. The service is usually very good but this year our server seemed to have left at home her charm skills and part of our order was forgotten even though we were one of the first diners that evening. When asked how we enjoyed the food we did make the above points concerning the food and without asking the cost of the lobster entree was deducted. Fine dining it's not but hope it gets better."

"We are repeat visitors to PattiGeorge. Every other visit has been 4-5 stars but this Mother's Day meal was quite forgettable. Our server from the outset was bent on getting us in and out as fast as she could, inexplicably so since there were more than a few empty tables and no one waiting to be seated. The apps hadnt even arrived before we were asked 3 times for main course selections causing us to capitulate. The main course arrived before the app plates were cleared from the table. We didnt even get our wine selection in during the rush.
My main course of grouper was bland. Companion's snapper was fair. Dessert was decent. All told, a rush to disappointment from a place we normally rave about."

"We had to wait 40 minutes for our dinner from the time we ordered it. We were told by our waiter that it was a kitchen mistake...that our dinners were given to a large table seated right next to us (who ordered appetizers and dinners after we ordered our dinners)."

"We ask are server if there was any special other than wants printed in the menu, and she clearly stated no. However, hearing the other waiters around us telling there tables about other specials other whats on the menu. I felt that are business was not appreciated and felt terrible to the point of wanting to walk out of the restaurant. Being now a local who just purchased a water front beach property would not recommend this restaurant cause of my server who attended us."

"Noodle bowl to start was underwhelming.It could use more coconut milk and spices then what was provided and was really excatly what you get at a Vietnamese restaurant as a meal.Lobster spring rolls were good.lobster ravioli were very good, loved tha sauce.The sea bass was a standout! Best fish I have ever eaten.Excellent dish!Chocolate molten cake a great end to the meal.Coffe was luke warm but great tasting.When topped up the next cup was also luke warm.Service was good.A very nice atmosphere for a waterfront dining experience.Minor flaws that can easily be corrected.I will definitely go back."

"We have always had great meals here and invited guests based upon that.
Sadly, both service and food were only fair. We may go back one more time but the next time will not be with guests. We could not help but wonder the next day if seasonal layoffs or departures have left the kitchen without its best chefs and the front end with second rate servers."

"Dinner for six...perfect! Even if two of the guests were a bit disappointed that PG's changed the menu and the 2012 pork tenderloin recipe has been replaced. So, they went for lamb and loved it. Other guests had fish (grouper, yellow tuna) and also enjoyed it. One person had beef and it was cooked to perfection. Sunday is BYO wine so we did and thought this concept was economical since they included 20% service charge for a "group" of six... Appetizers were also a delight (lobster spring roll, mussels and dim sum) and so was dessert (key lime pie, mixed berries and ice cream, tiramisu) but the best is the view and to be directly on the water. Would go back."

"The food was sparse, vinegar loaded, almost inedible. I ordered pad Thai, but all I tasted was vinegar. no peanuts, no peanut sauce, 2 shrimp all together. My husband ordered Sea BAss,which was delicious, but that was it. No vegetable or starch. For $30 I would expect a lot better. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one."

"We have been wanting to try PattiGeorges for quite some time. So glad we finally did! We had a 7:00 reservation on Saturday night. Upon arriving, we were seated with no waiting to a table wih a great view of the bay. The menu is very eclectic with a bit of an Asian flair. That being said, you can have anything from personal size pizza to filet mignon. I had the miso glazed sea bass and husband had fettucine Alfredo with shrimp, Both dishes were excellent. They also have a price fixe menu at $28.95 pp which incl appetizer thru dessert but smaller portions. The salads looked yummy that went by as did most everything else. Its a varied menu with lots of seafood choices. Great find!"

"Food was very disappointing--even simple chopped salad was overdressed and full of yellow bitter tasting iceberg. Burger was ok; fries were soggy; grouper was bland. Fried calamari was the only tasty thing we had but I would not call it exceptional. Hostess was inexperienced and not attentive; server just went through the motions. One good point: unlike other reviewers, we did not have a long wait for food. But seems like a restaurant with a view that survives on feeding mediocre but expensive food to tourists."

"We have been to Pattigeorge many times and love it. On Saturday, March 15 it was the most crowded I have ever seen it. Despite having a reservation, they were not ready for us or several others waiting to be seated. They immediately began pouring glasses of wine and asked our patience to be seated. It was handled very tactfully and gracefully. It was a beautiful evening to sit outside on their patio with the wine. It was only about 15 minutes before our lovely water front table was ready.
Dinner was delicious,and the service is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It truly is our neighborhood gem."

"Eclectic and innovative food on Longboat Key with a terrific view of Sarasota Bay. Many menu items have a pan-Asian twist, but the menu offers more traditional fare and some Italian-inspired dishes as well. Everything we ordered -- chicken in lettuce wraps, mussels in a coconut curry sauce, Ahi tuna tartare in wonton cups with "sakamole" (Guacamole made with sake), and pork stir-fry -- was delicious and beautifully presented. Waitstaff were accommodating and very pleasant. We will be back on our next visit to the Sarasota area."

"Definitely lacking an owner's (or manager's) over site and if you have worked in a kitchen you could tell the chef was in charge by the service. We waited four minutes for someone to come up front and seat us and an hour for our dinner. The table of a family of five waited two hours and their server was smart enough to give them another bottle of wine. Fortunenately, the food was good."

"Bustling restaurant on the Sarasota Bay, we arrived after dark so couldn't really see the view but the inside atmosphere was very nice with white tablecloths and lots of ambiance. Lobster spring rolls and pad thai were very good, husband had a burger and he declared it one of the best he's had. Menu was eclectic with asian and italian influence, Excellent service makes this a good choice for a higher end restaurant in a resort area."
