"I took my family to Mitchell's Fish Market for Mother's Day. It was a great location for everyone. We all love seafood and checked out the menu online ahead of time. There was something for everyone and the prices were reasonable! When we got to our table and started to look over our menu, we ended up with the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu(prices were higher, making it less affordable)....we were disappointed that it was not indicated on their website that there would be a different menu for the day. We were overall pleased with our experience with the staff and food, but disappointed with lack of communication."

"Six of us had dinner for my wife's Birthday celebration this past week-end. There was only a 10-15 minute wait with a reservation, but the experience was well the wait. I had the cod with lobster and crab stuffing. My wife had the cedar planked salmon. Both dishes were very fresh, good proportions, and perfected prepared. The service was very attentive and spot on. The recommended red and white wines were crisp and refreshing. The only negative was the noise level was moderate, but we adjusted nicely as the evening went on. Well worth it and we will be returning soon!"

"My husband and I went to Mitchell's as we were staying across the street at a hotel. The food was really tasty, lots and lots of choices!! Our server must have been quite new as she wasn't aware of many types of fish.......but she was nice anyhow. The food was very tasty and you got a lot of it, we would go back!"

"When I travel to Tampa for work, I find it a MUST to dine at this restaurant. The Cedar Planked Salmon is my favorite dish. Last visit when "Troy" was our server we had fantastic service. This time, our server seemed 'weeded' and not so friendly. My friends that joined us this time, liked it too!"

"We were celebrating my husband's and my son's birthdays. I made our reservation through open table & received a confirmation phone call from Mitchell's. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, oysters, spinach artichoke crab dip, & mussels for the apps---a great way to start! I had the halibut, which was prepared perfectly. Sharon was our server: her professionalism was to be admired. She had a perfect balance on timing and delivery. It was a wonderful, dining experience. i can't wait to go back! If there was anything on the down side, it would have to be that our table was crammed into a spot between the fish case and another table. We were a party of 5; although the table was set for 6, It wouldn't have fit 6 people comfortably."

"We just love Mitchell's. We were there celebrating our 5-year wedding anniversary. We have celebrated at Mitchell's every year. At the end of dinner, the Dining Room Manager brought us a Happy Anniversary card, signed by the staff. It was such a nice gesture."

"Our group of four included one person who is a vegan, which gave our server a bit of a pause, because he really wasn't too knowledgeable about what our guest could eat. He came back after conferring with the chef and checking the recipe with confirmation that the grilled veggies would be just fine (her first choice), and the portion was generous and she said, quite delicious. The rest of us had fish of varying types and we all thought the food was excellent, well prepared, the sides were good and portions were very generous. Our server was terrific. Wine my husband chose, a Malbec, was extra special."

"I ordered from the Lobster Celebration menu. The meal was definitely worth the money. Plenty of food! It was my best friend's birthday and I notified the restaurant when I made the reservation. When we arrived, our menus said "Happy Birthday" on them with her name and date! She loved it!"

"The service was good, but I ordered the filet which came with a baked potato and asparagus, both served at room temperature.
The food is a bit too pricy for that to ever happen. Based on my only visit, I would say it's on the level of a red lobster, but red lobster has better bread."

"I came for my birthday lunch and they reserved a special booth with curtains, printed my birthday on the menus, gave me a birthday card signed by all the staff along with a voucher for a free appetizer and presented the table with an amazing free piece of ice cream pie. Definitely went above and beyond to make my birthday lunch special."

"Mitchell's Fish Market is a great restaurant in Westshore Plaza and located near TPA. My husband and I met North Carolina friends for lunch, and as we entered the restaurant we were very impressed by the elegant decor. Then we received excellent service and a four delicious meals. Since we had not seen our friends for a very long time, we were allowed to sit, drink coffee and chat for an extremely long time without being disturbed. That was certainly a treat for us. Thank you for such a pleasant experience at Mitchell's."

"My husband ordered the grilled trout and I had the cedar planked salmon. Both portions were generous and the fish fresh. Everything really was delicious and the wait staff friendly and accommodating.

"This was our first time at Mitchell's and overall a nice experience. The wine list does need some improvement since we prefer French and Italian, but the food was very good. My husband got a lobster special which was great and I had the fish trio which also was very tasty and gave me a chance to sample 3 different seafoods. When I first got my food it was lukewarm so had to send it back, but once it was warmed up it was perfect. What really impressed us the most was the manager came by our table to apologize for my meal having to be sent back and offered to remove it from our bill. We said no way, but he insisted. This is a sign of a well run restaurant. We will definitely be back."

"Good fresh seafood. The trout was awesome. I'm from new England and the Delaware area so I didn't think the flown-in oysters were all that impressive. We sat outside. It's about the equivilant of Bonefish for quality and price. Will return. Good location. Central to St. Pete, Clearwater and Tampa. Simple but well done."
