Meriwether's is one of only a few restaurants in the United States that grow and harvest the vegetables for our farm-to-table menu at our very-own Meriwether’s Skyline Farm, located just 20 minutes from the restaurant.

"We tried Meriwether's on a suggestion of a friend, and I have found a new favorite dining spot inPortland!! The ambience was fabulous, the food was amazing and the staff was wonderful and welcoming. On the waiters suggestion, we went out to the outdoor patio for after dinner drinks and what an amazing space. They had an outdoor fireplace burning and the garden around the outdoor seating was beautiful. The menu was not extensive but was very well prepared and a delight for the tastebuds! Looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful establishment."

"This is our second trip to Merriweather's and again we had a lovely dinner. The food is interesting, very fresh, prepared with care and thought. We were there on Mother's Day and the overall busy-ness of the day detracted a little from the dining experience; for instance, the staff was hurried and missed a few details, food was a little slow, etc. I wouldn't hold that against them though - service generally struggles on busy holidays, no matter where you are. The first time we were there the service was impeccable, arguably the best in Portland.
We sat on the covered patio and, though it was raining, we were dry and the heat lamps were on, so it was a comfortable experience. Sit outside when it's dry - the garden is beautiful."

"It has been some time since we last ate at Meriwethers but we picked it for dinner last Tuesday night. I was surprised to see how many people had the same idea on a Tuesday. A short wait in the bar with a glass of Prosecco and we were seated in the outside garden area. Beautifully done, nice fountain feature and since it was a bit chilly they had well placed heaters which kept us very comfortable. Small plate selection was varied and delicious. We had stuffed date, crab deviled eggs and seared tuna. Then we ordered a sqaush and chèvre cheese salad followed by a crab risotto that was as good as anything I have eaten before "awesome". The lamb dish was just okay and we skipped desert. Service was timely, friendly and attentive."

"We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time for the Mother's Day Brunch- a fixed price, fixed menu, and fixed tip affair.
Food was just OK if you like extremely well done Quiche and the coffee was good. On the service side, we had to ask for coffee multiple times. The coffee we ordered when we were seated wasn't served until after the waiter brought the food and the coffee was never refreshed. Even though I asked the waiter for more coffee multple times, no additional coffe was server until after I provdided payment for the meal (with 20% gratuity already included)."

"We have eaten at Meriwether's several times. This meal was very disappointing, compared to their usual fare. We had a prix fixe menu: the fruit bowls were unappealing visually; like they had been mass-produced and sitting for hours (we were there at 1p). Not sure why they served biscuits with the fruit salad when most of the entrees came with bread. The scrambled eggs with spinach and 2 cheeses were as bland as can be.
We won't be going back for a while. Disappointing and very expensive."

"Went to Merriweathers for Mothers Day Brunch and made reservations a week in advance for the patio. The patio was in great demand no seating left.
Our waiter was outstanding and attentive.
It was very simple and convenient to have a menu with several choices and the gratuity included in the price.
Now the food: the biscuits and jam fresh juice were delicious.
My chosen entre was the "Huervos Ranchero with Mole Sauce". The eggs on top were good, they looked fresh and that they came from well cared for hens. But.... once I dug in to whatever that concoction was layered in below the eggs was awful. That combined with the mole sauce had horrible flavor and I could not finish this dish leaving that bottom layer uneaten."

"An old Portland institution that produces fresh and appetizing dishes. We made early reservations due to a celebration in our family on several fronts, after some difficult times. Despite reservations and a timely arrival, we had to wait. to be seated. Two of the favored brunch dishes were not available. Service was efficient, but there was clear pressure to "move on" as soon as we finished our meal - we complied. Overall, Meriwether's is a vibrant and beautiful setting with delicious food. We were, however, disappointed that our event was not met with a little more graciousness, as seemed to be the standard for known guests. We will try again."

"It was our first warm weekend and we ate outside...the ambiance on the patio is great, but it was very loud...things quieted down as some noisy tables left. Scallops were excellent, as was the beet salad and vichysoisse. The viognier and pinot noir were also excellent. Our waiter recommended the lamb but my husband was disappointed...he prefers it grilled and charred on the outside. But we are not deterred...we love Meriwether's and will be back for brunch in a couple of weeks!"

"We chose Meriwether's as the place for our visiting family to experience excellent local NW cuisine. Our last experience here was fabulous, and we expected the same this time. We had a reservation for 7:30. We arrived on time and we were informed that our table was almost ready, just waiting for other guests to finish up. We waited in a very crowded lobby for 30 minutes before we were finally seated. I've never had to to wait that long at a restaurant where I have a reservation. This was a big disappointment. Once we were seated the service was fine although a bit slow, and the food was excellent as usual. Not the perfect dining experience we were hoping to share with our family, but still a very nice one."

"Wanted to enjoy the much awaited sunny weather, and heard that Meriwether's had a nice patio with great food. Correct on both counts! The patio was delightful with beautiful plantings and twinkle lights, and the food was WoNdErFuL. We had a marvelous dinner and will most definitely be back!"

"Love this place. Went for Brunch this time and had a wonderful meal. The best Chicken and Waffle I have had in Portland. Don't miss the Northwest Benedict w/ crab meat. The staff are always so friendly and attentive. Can't wait for the garden to open up to dine al fresco. If you haven't been, put this place on your priority list."

"Meriwether's has its own parking lot and a fireplace in the dining room--in addition to a menu loaded with fresh, tasty, and creative dishes. A tower of chicken paprika and onion rings atop creamy greens is the most memorable entree we ordered. The garbanzo fries were especially yummy, too."

"The tenderloin with the carmelized sweet potatoes and leeks was outstanding!!!! Please keep this one on the menu. The noise level was very loud in the bar but our server did her best to mitigate the problem.
I live close by and have been to the restaurant many times--it has been wonderful to see the garden grow up and the business thrive!"

"As usual, the food was excellent. On this particular night, the service was extremely slow. Though the dining room was ot crowded when we dined, the bar was very busy. It took forever for our server to initially wait on us and even longer for each of the dishes and drinks to be delivered."
