Tosca is the flagship restaurant of Eat Well Inc. Open for dinner only, Tosca is located on historic Hingham Harbor and offers creative regional Italian cuisine focusing on fresh New England flavors and local, seasonal ingredients. Constructed in the 1910 Granary Marketplace building, the award-winning restaurant boasts a theatrical setting with exposed brick, imported tiles, mahogany woods, and an open kitchen from which executive chef Kevin Long takes center stage.

"They offer a 5 course tasting dinner (very manageable to eat), and it was delicious! It is perfect for someone who likes to taste a variety of different foods a restaurant has to offer. The 5 course changes nightly too. My server Cheryl was very well versed in the details of each dish, and explained each to me as she brought them over. The ambiance was great and the timing of the service was perfect (wanted to sit through a longer meal, and was given plenty of time to do so). I will definitely be back again."

"We went to Tosca (our first visit) for our 25th wedding anniversary and had a phenomenal time. Our server was extremely helpful with all my menu questions and had a great personality. We started out with the shrimp box appetizer which was excellent. My wife had the grilled lobster tails and I had the chicken under a brick. I have been to many restaurants but my chicken dish was the finest tasting meal that I have had. Dessert was also great and to top it off our server brought out a happy anniversary plate decorated in chocolate with two delicious chocolates. We had a great time and we will be back!"

"Pasta was excellent - my wife had the tasting menu and each choice was superb. Bread should have been warm but that's being a little picky...service was friendly but not excellent for the type of restaurant that it is - very nice ambiance and fresh high quality ingredients - Will definitely go back."

"Our tasty meals were thoughtfully prepared with servings that were filling without being overwhelming. I had the pork, with a light hint of bbq that was perfectly sweet. he had the beef 2 ways special, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our server Tim was attentive without being intrusive. "We were there on the Saturday before Valentine's day so it was quite crowded. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we were seated right on schedule. The waitress was right on even though all tables were full. Food as usual was excellent, fish perfectly done and plates attractively presented. Wine list is large with moderate to pricey wines. The only distraction is the noise level - it can be loud when it's crowded. Still one of our favorite spots and we'll be back."

"We had butternut squash soup which was creamy with a hint of bacon. Then 2 of us had lobster tails, one had the special of the day which was crusted bass on orzo. The food was presented with flair and the flavors were interesting in each bite. The wine list is impressive, mostly Californian and italian. We shared a lemon meringue. Although the lemon part was nice and tart, the meringue was a bit too chewy for my taste. Cremes brulees did not disappoint. Overall a great experience."

"We were seated immediately and had bread and wine served within minutes. The appetizer that we chose was tempura shrimp, which was delicately fried with an excellent caper sauce. My entree was barbecued pork slices over risotto, and the flavors were very complimentary. My husband's scallops were slightly undercooked but still very good. Overall, the whole meal was very good."

"Fabulous as always. Service was superb. Watier, Jonathan, was extremely knowledgable re: the wine list and had great recommendations. Bolognese of wild boar is one of the best dishes I have had -- anywhere! Almost a Moroccan influence. Nicely done.

"I absolutely loved everything about tosca's! It is actually right down the street from where I live and I have known it was good but hesitated because I felt it might be too pricey. It is not a cheaper menu for sure but well worth the special meal. Even some of the food descriptions that I have no idea of what they are have been a pleasant surprise. The way the food is seasoned and prepared for someone like myself, who has a restricted diet was just a little bit of heaven in every bite!!"

"My wife and I celebrated an anniversary this past Saturday, Robin our server was fantastic, we were made to feel welcome the moment we walked in. Food and drink was exceptional and the little extra's they threw in for us just made the night that much more memorable. I could not recommend Tosca more. "The restaurant was a bit chilly when we arrived. We did not especially like our table overlooking the traffic. The food was good but not great. The soup a bit thick and heavy. The salmon was bland, no real taste to it. The cream brulee was ok.

"Great meal; thoroughy enjoyed by all parties. Went for an occasion after a 10-12 year absence and food was just as good or better than we remembered. All the food elements were very good to outstanding, though the coffee was average. Service was quite good though occasionally rushed in clearing plates from the table. "The food was terrific (foodies will enjoy). Our waiter was very good. However our appetizers arrived before our wine (delivered by another server). Our only big negative was that it was excessively noisy. The other partial negative was that, while not rushed, we felt that they were intent on moving tables fairly quickly.

We will try it one more time during a week night when we hope that it is less crowed and less noisy."

"Great service, great food, nice surroundings. Only complaint - we ate in the library/wine room and there was live music that was very loud and made it extremely difficult to hear people at our table. We were there at 7:30 pm - way too loud for that time. Also, the table they put us at was EXTREMELY small - it was a juggling act to fit our food, drinks, etc. at the table. Other than those small items, Tosca was perfect!"

"Tosca remains one of our favorite restaurants. I cannot resist the Chicken under Brick - one of the most flavorful dishes ever! My husband had the dry-aged rib-eye steak which was a little disappointing. Also, he had to return his (sweet)Rob-Roy as it was not sweet (served with a twist) - twice (switched to beer). Our waiter, Tim, was very accommodating with trying to correct the drink. Overall we had a great evening and highly recommend Tosca."

"It was hopping on a Sunday night, not a child in the place, which was great since I was on a date with my husband away from the kids. The food and drinks were perfect for a real adult night out.

"Tosca has always been a favorite of mine, in part because it is not really part of the restaurant scene. It is an excellent, local restaurant that makes me wish I lived in Hingham so I could go more often. I make it a point to hit Tosca at least once per quarter, if not more. I moved to DC for a while and recently returned to the area and visited Tosca on last Friday. My last visits was marked with a notably bad server. When I stopped by on Friday - nearly a year later - the manager caught us on our way out and again apologized for the poor serviced we had received A YEAR AGO! That goes to speak to the family-type ownership and dedication of (almost) everyone at Tosca and their two sister restaurants on the same block."

"We went here for a special occaison and it was fitiing. Our server made very fitting reccomendations, especially in suggesting the duck pasta - it was amazing. The steak was overly smoky though, the smoke/barbeque flavor was all that you could taste. The desert was seasonal and very good as well.
I enjoyed the fact that the wine list was varied as far as region of wines and price, though the final bill for the evening was not inexpensive. It is open and airy, I love the touch of the stone fireplace, my wife commented though that it was decorated a little like a chain restaurant. All in all, most of the food was outstanding with the only exception being the steak."

"We entertained clients on Thursday at Tosca, and as usual, everything was fantastic. It was a pretty quiet night, and we were seated right away (The dining room looked lovely all decked out for the holidays!) the food, as usual (again) was so delicious that we actually stopped talking business to talk about how good our food was (which was a feat for this group)! I love this place, and especially in the colder months, its so cozy. the staff couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable, the food's unbelievable, and the ambiance is elegant and filled with positive energy and it all makes for a great night out. "Nice menu - not quite northern Italian but inspired by with a New England touch.
Creative menu - some dishes a bit not so well balanced - boar ragu were a bit salty and a delacate fish topped with fried oysters was slightly overwhelmed by the homemade tartar sauce on top. Needs a little tweeky of the plate combinations.

Doesn't quite live up to the hype.

But a lovely atmosphere, nice wine list, wonderful desserts, pleasant and attentive servers."

"Took my wife for there for an anniversary dinner. Romantic setting, expansive wine list, and professional servers. Chef's Tasting Menu was excellent- 5 courses: salad, pasta, seafood, beef, dessert. Caprese salad was the best I've had anywhere- pesto and a variety of tomatoes made it a notable appetizer. Beautiful presentation on the food. "Tosca was the perfect place to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary! We went on a Sunday night so it wasn't as busy as a Friday or Saturday night. Our server Robin was attentive and very helpful with suggestions on what to order. The food was fabulous! My husband started with the buttercup soup and I with the caprissi salad, perfect to begin with. The tenderloin I had melted in my mouth and my Husband had a sampling of lamb dishes that he just loved! We ended the evening with a specialty coffee drink and brown sugar creme brulee, that was to die for. We will return!"

"Superb. Our third dinner at Tosca in five weeks, and each time the meal was spot on. They have a terrific fall menu, from the starters to the desserts.
