"It was quite expensive for what you received. The table we were seated at was less than ideal as my seat contacted the seat of the table that was perpendicular to ours. The sauerkraut was very salty, but the snitchel was excellent. The beer was excellent as well. I think if we were to go back,we would try the hall downstairs for dinner and drinks."

"A good eating place here in Calgary. We had the duck and it was very good. That dish alone is worth returning for. We also had onion rings which were huge, although these were far too greasy for our liking. A couple of downers...(1) Parking is really non-existent and (2) the top restaurant does not have pig hocks when the bottom (bar) area does. They will not even consider even allowing you to order this which is borderline ridiculous.
The service was slow but friendly. All-in-all it was a good experience. If they could sort out their inability to serve what customers want, then they would be a very good place to go. As it is, they are still good and worth visiting."

"If you enjoy great food and awesome service, this place is for you. We went a day before Valentine's Day and started with the meat and cheese platter (awesome), then for the main meal we ordered the Pork Schnitzel (out of this world)and the bratwurst (cooked to perfection!). Felt that the wine was a bit overpriced for what you are getting, but we managed to order two bottles throughout the evening, and thouroughly enjoyed it. Service was exceptional and we did dine on the main level. Afterwards, we went downstairs for a beer and then attempted to waddle back up the stairs to go home. This is a keeper in my book!!"

"Dave and I have been to Wurst before and couldn't wait to go again so 4 of us went for a friend's birthday. We ordered the calamari and the fondu to start and the calamari was so fishy tasting we couldn't finish it. When the server asked how our appies were, I mentioned they were fishy but she didn't say anything and our evening moved on. The dinners weren't that great. My prawns were so dry and the rest was pretty average. it's not often we complain about resturants but there was nothing great about Wurst this time around. We do love the look and feel of the restaurant though. It is a nice setting."

"We had been trying for a long time to go to Würst for dinner but we could never get a reservation on the dates and times we wanted. This time, we made the reservation way in advance, we got the date and time we wanted. It was well worth the wait! Everything was excellent, from the pleasant and knowledgeable servers, to the great tasting food, the excellent selection of beers, the desserts to die for and even the location of our table. We will definitely have to go back."

"Fondue was separated when it came and the server abondoned us for most of the night so AWOL when we wanted to tell him. Taste of everything was good and that is why it was. 3star rating but service lacking. I know we were not drinking and also a group of two rather than the 6, 8 or 20 in the area but still, our money is the same as every other table. We might return but there are other restaurants I want to try first."

"The inside of the restaurant at Wurst is beautiful. We really appreciated our seat right beside the tree in the center of the restaurant. The tables were a bit tight but it definitely did not bother me throughout the evening. The service was wonderful. We were greeted promptly and our waitress was very helpful. She made great suggestions for dinner. We also enjoyed the beer flight we ordered but there was one specifically we liked. It was a replacement for a beer typically in the normal flight and she actually brought out a few extra beers for us to try to compare. It was helpful and definitely made the service stand out.

"I grew up in Germany and my dad owned and worked as a chef in his restaurant so I knew I would be a harsh critic. But from start to finish it was excellent. The server let us sample the beers before we ordered, we ordered the Charcuterie and cheese board to start and it was perfect to share between four people. The appenzeller and bierwurst reminded me so much of home! Then we ordered the schnitzel with Spaetzli, the boar, and the Bratwurst dishes. I can't say that the Bratwurst was as good as my dads, but it was pretty darn close, the sauces for the boar dish and the bratwurst were excellent and the schnitzel was perfect...it could only be better if they served it a la gordon blue too:) The dessert menu is also a gem..next time!"

"Great food generally- but the horseradish sauce that came with the carvery had no flavour. The rest was terrific. But it was soooo loud! - we were downstairs. Couldn't hear ourselves or the waitress. Too bad. Otherwise loved it. Need to head there on a Sunday afternoon when there isn't so much noise."

"First time visit to Wurst. Fiancé is passionate about German food after a trip to Germany a few years ago but has had difficulty finding good stuff. Wurst was a real treat for him. He had the Bratwurst and it was the best he's had this side of the pond. I had the Rabbit Spatzle and wasn't sure what it would be or what to expect, but it was a delicious rabbit pasta dish. Great with a side of their self made sauerkraut.
The service was wonderful and the gentleman that helped us out was very knowledgeable about the beer. He recommend 2 different beers for my fiancé, who really enjoyed both of them.
We also had a Black Forest Cake which was the best I've ever had - I don't even like Black Forest Cake, but this was something else."
