"From the second we walked in, to being seated, the staff was delightful! The waiter knew the product and made good recommendations. Dinner was nicely presented and was well done and tasted terrific. A little pricey, but worth the extra $$. Even the busboy, recent high school grad, was polite and friendly."

"we returned to Solita on May 11 2013 for an 8:30 reservation. This restaurant refuses to seat two persons at a table for four no matter how many fours are available. The tablesfor 2 are smashed against the wall or by doors or walkways. At 9:15 we had not been seated so we left. But not without a snotty remark from the host. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE ONLY A PARTY OF TWO!"

"We went the night of Miami Heat game and they only have one TV. We wanted to watch game and got a bar table in perfect position. One problem and big guy blocking few, not watching game and not willing to move. Service was very slow, but waiter attempted to be attentive, and threw in dessert for the inconvenience. I would recommend dining at Solita, but stay away from an event night. It is lively and fun on its own."

"We saw that there was one in Delray( we were familar with the one on Las Olas) little did we know it had been there for almost 2 years!
The food was great and Seth was a great waiter and bartender( we ate at the bar). We will be going back to try the "eating in the dark" theme and I would recomend to every one looking for good food and personable employes as well as great atmosphere!

1. reservations for 8 - were squashed on table for six. when asked x better option - they added up a small square table - it worked but we should not have been the ones asking for this : plus I had requested a round table
2. we chose Estancia cabernet sauvignon - when we ordered third bottle - waiter refilled glasses and not until he put it on the table did we notice it was a Rodney Strong .... too late he had already refilled glasses and no apologies when pointed out
3. Linguine with clams and with Seafood : were both more like a soup - mine packed to go in a plastic bag all sauce was leaking before I got home Deplorable for the prices they charged u get better meals/service at Olive Garden"

"Food was outstanding, however, restaurant was understaffed and we felt ignored in our outside seating. Had to ask manager to send waiter and waiter made clear to us that he was just "filling in the spot". Another waiter delivered drinks, when it did not come as ordered, he commented "everything is in there that you ordered". In short, chef is excellent, but management and service need substantial improvement. Restaurant seems to cater more to their happy hour guests than diners."

"Our experience this time was not that great. Linguini with claims was drenched in sauce, it came out like a bowl of soup. I literally had to pour it out. The waiter never came back and even asked how our dinner was. I would have told him that along with the fact that I didn't know red pepper flakes would be drenched all over it as well and have my mouth on fire, not expecting that one! My friends dish was some samon dish that she enjoyed, but not doing cartwheels over it. Our waiter made us feel like he was rushing us the entire meal and the only time he actually talked to us was when we signed the checks to say "are you finished". Not a great experience."

"We were celebrating a belated Valentine's dinner. While the food was delicious, we felt that the prices were too high for what we ordered and it did not include a side of pasta. A half order of a pasta entree was suggested but we were not informed of the price before we received the check which left a sour taste for our dining experience. "I had not been in a while, and now I do not know why. Portions are large, but if you know how to order, It does not come in to play. Having said that we were with a couple who have been there more recently so we ordered correctly, took nothing home and did not break the bank. "Only thing I cant figure out is WHY they always seem to be available on Open Table for reservations? I mean, this is a great restaurant in Delray Beach. Maybe Delray has finally been overrun with enough restaurants that you can now get in most places even when you book close to the reservation time.

"We had been there before and had a wonderful meal. This time we sat for over an hour to get our entre and the place was empty. The bread was limp and he forgot one of the salads. Two of the four dishes were good. No one came back to give us more water, we think they were at the bar watching tv. By 8pm we were the only ones there and still had to wait for the check. We would not go back, as it was not a pleasant experience."

"Our second time at Solita. Our server was busy but had quite a bit of support staff to assist. My husbands pasta was overcooked and lacked sauce while my sunday sauce was good. Our bread was a bit dry. Our dessert was not to be recommended. With so many excellent restaurants in Delray, we will probably choose another italian place to dine."

"The food was excellent the firt time we went to this restaurant (about 3 months ago). This time the food was fair. The eggplant appetizer, which was a special, was overdone. The eggplant was fried way to long. My pork chop was done well and I ordered it medium rare.

Too noisy for conversation by 8:45 so we found their outside seating on a lovely evening and enjoyed another half hour of conversation. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND IN AMPLE PORTIONS! Our waiter was a bit in your face and talkative. Beautiful black, white and crystal decor. Comfortabe banquette seating. Will definitely go back again soon."

"Our Open Table reservation could only be honored if we sat outside. Inside was 1/2 hour wait. Service was great. Cucumber Fresca rum drink was delicious. Eggplant stack was out of this world good. Very long wait for food to arrive. Chicken Milanese was very bland and cold. Sent it back. Came out luke warm. We were hungry so we ate it. Not sure what all the fuss is about this place. We were underwhelmed."
