Fog Harbor Fish House is a classic San Francisco seafood restaurant. It is part of the family owned Simco Restaurant Group, which has operated high quality, award winning seafood restaurants in San Francisco for over 30 years. Our menu showcases a large variety of fresh seafood delivered daily and also features non seafood items that change seasonally. We are proud to share that we are the first and only restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf to serve 100% sustainable seafood. The classic, comfortable dining room features panoramic views of Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz and The Golden Gate Bridge. Fog Harbor Fish House is located on the water, upper level at the entrance to San Francisco's PIER 39.

"Need I say more? Below avg seafood, sub par service (table of 8 and the waiter was too lazy to serve each guest their drink, so he just passed glasses down the table, which resulted in everyone man handling the glass. Okay views if you like Alcatraz and seals, or overweight Texans. Otherwise spend your money at Hillstone, a slightly lesser evil. Pretty embarrassed I brought a client here..."

"We had a reservation for 10 people and were seated promptly with a nice window table with a view. Service was excellent. The food was great and the prices were reasonable for a touristy location. They were very busy because it was Mother's Day but we never waited for anything. We're going to make Fob Harbor Fish House our new Mother's Day tradition."

"We had out of town guests and had to make reservations with only 24 hours notice. Our guests had not been to San Francisco before so I called the restaurant and asked for a window table. It was a wonderful evening, food was great, and the service was friendly. Be sure to get the crab cakes as an appetizer, you won't be disappointed."

"This place is a great option in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Special kudos to their bartenders, who are amazing mixologists and so friendly! The food itself is also quite good. I had the mixed grill, which was lovely, as the fish was cooked perfectly. The salmon was a little bland, but I'd prefer that to overseasoned! I would absolutely recommend this place to folks in the area who want a lovely view of the harbor, including the infamous sea lions and Alcatraz."

"This is the best restaurant in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Both tourists and locals alike are greeted and treated with personable and friendly service, and fine food. The menu is a very nice mix of main dishes and appetizers, with an obvious emphasis on fresh and tasty sea food. Views of the pier area and of SF Bay are lovely, and the table layout is designed to maximize the patrons' view of the water. The food is consistently very good and reasonably priced. In particular, the fresh raw oysters, crsipy fried calamari and chili-sauteéd shrimp appetizers are well-prepared and tasty. The fish and shellfish main dishes are built around sustainable species, and are consistently prepared to be moist and tasty."

"We celebrated my parents 53 anniversary, and had the best table in the place! Corner table with rounded windows with views from every angle. Mom and Dad just loved it. The weather was perfect in the city, and the views across to the Golden Gate and Alcatraz were spectaluar. Not to mention the food was large portions and just so delicious. We will definitely dine here again, and Open Table was perfect for making reservations."

"The food was excellent. The service was a little slow, but still very good. I couldn't complain too much about it since it was crowded. The view was great. The cost was a little pricey, but it's what should be expected for a location like this. For appetizers, we had oysters on the half shell, steamed clams, ahi poke, and the garlic bread. Since I had the ahi for my main course, I should have skipped this for an app. All else was good. We had the Ahi, which is always one of my favorites. The Clams Pennie, I don't care for clams, but my wife said it was very good. The fillet mignon, was tasty. And last was a burger, for my younger daughter, also very tasty."

"I was visiting San Francisco for business - first time out there. The first night, my client made a horrible dinner recommendation, so the next night I turned to Open Table. This restaurant was perfection. The view of the harbor at sunset was beautiful. The dinner was superb. "I often lead groups to theatre in San Francisco and we always end the day at Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf so everyone can eat dinner. When asked, I always recommend Fog Harbor Fish House for the best seafood on the Pier. This trip 43 of the 57 people on the bus dined at Fog Harbor. My biggest complaint has been that the wines were served too warm. Pinot Noir should be poured at 61˚ and the last trip my bottle was closer to 78˚. Turns out when I complained they discovered the wine chiller was running but not chilling. This trip wine temperature was spot on and the food, as usual was delicious. Had calamari earlier in the day at the walk-up on Fisherman's Wharf that was rubbery and tasteless, exactly the opposite of what we got at Fog Harbor."

"The food was fabulous -- what you hope for in San Francisco (fabulous fresh fish, featuring crab in particular and freshly baked sourdough) and surprising without being weird. Waitress couldn't be better. Superb view of the bay, sea lions, Alcatraz. My only drawback: Pier 39 is Disneyland on the harbor. But the parking is free (validated) and once in the restaurant, the hub bub outside is only a memory."

"When my parents came to visit from Boston, I wanted to take them to a good seafood restaurant in SF. The view is great, the food was delicious and well-presented, and we appreciate the fact that the restaurant serves sustainably fished seafood. It's pretty loud in the dining room, so be prepared for that. Most of the staff were very professional, although not across the board. Overall it was a lovely lunch, and I would definitely recommend Fog Harbor if you are touring the Fisherman's Wharf area."

The staff is attentive, the managers personable, and Stephanie on the front desk is quick to make you welcome. "It's hard to believe you can find a very good quality, white-tablecloth restaurant at Pier 39, a very tourist-y place, but you can. We stopped there for lunch after going to the nearby aquarium and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood and the excellent service. In fact, we went back for dinner a few days later even though we had no reason to go to the pier. Tip: make a reservation and say that you are a returning customer. That got us an amuse bouche. We can easily recommend the crab cakes and the sole, and the specials that we had were also very good. The restaurant claims to be committed to using seafood caught in a sustainable manner."

"I absolutely loved our dinner at the Fog House! My husband and I were in town from Seattle, having dinner with local friends from Santa Cruz. We were delighted with the food, and our server was fantastic. They ran out of one of the specials right as we ordered, but the manager went above and beyond to make it up to us. "We took our party of 11 here after visiting Alcatraz. We were 45 min early and they sat us right away. The scallops were delicious and I think everyone incite I the kids enjoyed this entree. The touristy stigma of Pier 39 and rumors of "touristy" (inferior implied) quality of food is a pure product of the SF hipsterdom and their inflamed snobbery. I am a local and I can say that it is one of the nicer seafood restaurants in the city."

"We were in San Francisco recently and had the opportunity to dine at Fog Harbour. We had the caesar salad (whole dressed romaine leaves). the evening special (salmon stuffed with seafood). and the tuna, along with sourdough bread and a Franciscan wine,and virgin mohito. "I had not been to Pier 39 in many years and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how terrific the whole area was! Clean, good variety of shops and restaurants and the tulip plantings were an added treat on an early spring day! The seals are no longer the main attraction.
I was meeting friends in the City and they wanted a place with a water view. Fog Harbor Fish House had such great reviews on Open Table, I decided to book there. It was terrific! Great menu, wonderful non-alcoholic drinks, super service. It was a real win. I'll be back!"
