"Came in for dinner and received HORRIBLE service!
Waitress joice was not attentive to our table while she was going around other tables with big smile. We saw her going other tables asking how was food, pouring water, and other basic follow ups. When she came to our table, didn't ask how was our food, slammed water glasses on our table, cleaned our plates without asking!!!
I recommended this reataurant to my clients, friends, colleagues, and family..I will never recommend this place to anyone and never coming back!!"

"Although we live close by in DC and son has been at USNA for four years, we did not get to Severn Inn until commissioning week. It certainly lived up to its reputation and did not disappoint. Great food with it's own local twist. The service was outstanding. If it had been a little warmer we would have been outside. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Go."

"Went on Sunday for brunch to celebrate a birthday. Due to the weather we could not sit outside, but did get seated at a nice table by the window. Overall, we thought the food was very good, although the hash browns were severely overcooked. Service was also very good, but I couldn't help to feel we were being rushed, despite many open tables. The prices are very high though ($165 for four people which included tip), especially since no drank an alchoholic beverage. I'd almost prefer there be a separate price for those who want mimosas and bloody marys."

"We took a trip to Annapolis to see the Naval Academy and eat crabs. Had a nice dinner at Severn Inn which included some nice baked oysters with a green chili salsa and aioli butter, crispy soft shell crabs with cucumber salad and some of the best crab cakes me and the wife have ever had. Prices are on the high side but the food and ambiance are worth it. I would definitely go back."

"I truely loved the experience this place brings. Food is outstanding so good if you get there before the rush. Recommend getting there around 6:15 and have some time to spare. As the sun is going down to the west and the Naval academy is across the river its a sight to see. Sailboats rolling down the river is just a fun time reminds me of a painting. My wife and I try to get out on a date night every payday something just for us. We try new places all the time but this is one we will use for its romantic charm and grate food."

"I have dined here in the past. Previously the service matched the view, spectacular. NOT this time. We had to ask for several items that should have been automatic. I was disappointed in the serve. We asked the server to split our bill between 6 guests to 3 on each bill. 20% was automatically added to each bill. Unnecessary added charge.

"The view is nice, but you pay for it. Expensive for what you get. Menu's are misleading as to sides that come with meals. On the salmon grilled plate the beets, etc were 4 strings of beets. Hardly anything. Food was luke warm, not hot. The shrimp entrees were good and plentiful....large shrimp. Service was fair. Had to wait quite a while for returning server. Waterboy was very attentive. Overall rating was fair but would say other local restaurants were much better.....ie Brio Bristo is very good, excellent service and ambiance and prices are much more reasonable. Sorry but true."

"I've lived here for many years and just never got around to trying the Severn Inn. My loss, but I'll be back. Had a great time with a very special friend. It was a little to cool and windy to eat outside, but there will be other opportunities. Great views, menu, wine list and staff. A perfect setting for a dinner with someone special in your life."

"We've been to Severn Inn a couple dozen times in the last few years, always pleased with the food, service and ambiance. This week however, we encountered multiple problems. It was so dark that we weren't the only ones requiring flashlights to read the menu; the food was very bland and under seasoned; and the service was painfully slow (30 minutes in between courses). We hope that this was just an off night for the front & back of the house."

"Very enjoyable evening after a long day. Service was good; it took too long for the food to come out while the place was almost empty. The food was well prepared and of high quality. "I'm a semi-regular. I'm most impressed by the consistency of quality and service each time I visit, and the ambiance is truly special. It's the one restaurant in Annapolis that I can count on to be able to have a conversation with everyone at the table. I consider this the place to take out of town guests, and to host special occasions. There are other restaurants in town that I frequent, but this is my "go to" restaurant where I can depend on the quality of food, an unparalleled venue, and exceptional service."

"My boyfriend and I went to the Severn Inn for Easter dinner as we were visiting Annapolis for the weekend. The restaurant received mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a shot, anyway. The view is spectacular, even on a cloudy, foggy day. No matter where you sit in the restaurant, you will have an excellent view of the Naval Academy.
The foot was sub par and most definitely not worth the price. My entry, the seasoned herb shrimp with linquini was very good, but definitely not worth the $39.00 price. My boyfriend's scallops and ravioli was small. Four small scallops on a plate! We live in an area of New Jersey where there are a ton of fantastic restaurants. Severn Inn does not even compare."

"We have lived in the area for over fifty years and this was our first visit to the Severn Inn. It was a special occasion and we had a magical evening. Arriving before sunset we were able to have a beautiful of the Naval Academy and watch the sunset as the lights on the Academy ground became apparent like sparkles in the night sky. The menu was especially excellent for seafood lovers and the wine list complemented it well. All in all we would recommend it for a special occasion or a delightful evening, especially if you are nautical at all. We shall return."

"There were 4 of us dining & there were many raves about the food choices. The service was outstanding & believe she was handling all the tables in the room we were seated. "There are few restaurants with a better view in Annapolis than the Severn inn. Tucked across the Severn river from the Naval Academy, it's potion is very unique (all the other waterfront restaurants are in the south shore in Eastport with a completely different perspective).

"The restaurant was very good. If they had more on the menu, it could possibly be on of the best. I brought my mother to Severn Inn with my wife and she said the crab cakes were the best she has ever had. That means a lot because my mother will quickly say how bad the food is. This place is almost Identical to my favorite in West Palm Beach, Florida, almost a replica. Oh, I think my mom will be going back there"
