decarli
decarli restaurant is where rustic meets modern. Chef/owner, Paul DeCarli, pulls from his Swiss-Italian roots to create a menu that reflects his heritage as well as combine local Northwest ingredients. Polenta fries with gorgonzola butter, mussels in fennel-saffron cream sauce, and espresso-braised shortribs are just a few of the many "must-haves.” Soaring open beam ceilings with rustic brick walls add to the ambiance of this 1924 historic building.

"We had received a recommendation, and went, and decarli was absolutely fabulous. The oysters were a great appetizer, as was the cauliflower soup. We both had the short ribs. Divine, not fatty at all. The rhubarb crumble was perfect, not too sweet. And, we were surprised at how affordable the meal was. We will be back!"

"We always get a great meal at deCarli. Been going there for years and have gotten to know some of the staff. The Mussels are fantastic. Every meal has been a treat. Reminds me of the Pearl District restaurants, but very convenient to us in Beaverton!"

"We stumbled across this place and have been there twice now. The food is excellent. The service varies between good and very good but they are always packed. I wouldn't go without a reservation unless you have lots of time to wait. The bar is always packed so while waiting you have to stand around and are in the way wherever you stand. This visit there was a loud toddler which was disappointing seems like with the open style restaurant and bar there wouldn't/shouldn't be kids there too often. If t was adults only it would be excellent. It would be an excellent romantic spot too if it was adults only. We will go again for the food."

"We had a wonderful dinner at DeCarli's. Our elderly mothers loved it. I am a vegetarian and on this Sunday night, they did not serve risotto. It would be great if they offered at least one option, besides soup/salad/pizza, for vegetarians, as a nice dinner item. After all, Beaverton is a suburb of Portland......the land of Portlandia."

"We had thought that the only good meal in Beaverton could be had at the Hall Street Bar and Grill, where we could get consistently good food but with an unwelcome dose of noise from a bar catering to twenty and thirty something patrons.
Not so. Decarli offers quiet ambience combined with excellent food and a wait staff that is knowledgeable about a very eclectic wine list. It's great to have a real choice in Beaverton!"

"from the time we sat down the waitress was very accomodating and explained everything we asked her.

"Decarli is now at the top of my list of great restaurants in Beaverton. I dined there with 3 friends on a Friday night and we each ordered different items from the menu...no one was disappointed. Everything was tasty and well presented. I had the pan-roasted brick chicken and it was delicious; very juicy and tender. My friend who ordered the spaghetti carbonara said it was the best he had ever had. I look forward to dining at Decarli again."

"the food was outstanding! if you want great food this is a place to go. if you want a romantic atmosphere, this is not the place for you. the room is large, open, and a bit loud. there are no cozy little tables or booths. our waitress was a little unfriendly, but it was a very busy Mother's day. I'm sure she had a long day. I got the feeling that she was miffed that we didn't order cocktails (making our ticket and her tip higher) Sorry, but we don't drink. My husband and I will go back again for the excellent food!"

"Very good food, good service but the noise level was off the charts. At least in the 90 decibel level. Room had all hard surfaces and nothing to absorb the sound. I would recommend the food to a friend but would add something about the high noise level. Not for a romantic dinner!"

"There are no words for how much I love this place. I eat out quite a lot, inside and outside of the country, and am a huge foodie. I discovered Decarli when looking for a spot to go with a foodie guy I was dating at the time. He didn't last, but my esteem for this place has! I take anyone who visits me from out of town, have taken many many friends and recommend it to anyone who will listen. I have yet to get a negative review and many people have said that some of the best meals of their lives have been here. The staff is SO wonderful, so welcoming and knowledgeable. I just can't say enough. Run, don't walk to this place."

"We went to Decarli for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very nice and enthusiastic and the food was amazing. We took a friends suggestion to heart and split all the meals, that way we were able to try the bruscetta, salad and soup and went on to have the most fabulous spareribs with spaetzle. That way there was even room for a brownie dessert. We will definitely be back, especially with friends in town. Thank you!"

The food is absolutely incredible, the drinks are inventive and tasty, and the waiters are friendly and willing to share their opinions on what on the menu for that day. "My husband and I had a lovely dinner on Friday night there. We had been hearing about the restaurant from our daughter for some time and decided to try it.

"I adore this restaurant. It has the ambiance and style of a Pearl District restaurant, but has the substance to back it up, without the pretension. "We do enjoy the food at decarli, and we love the ambiance. I have dined there at least six times. My major problem with decarli is the continuous pressure to move the meal along and to turn over the table. I have found this to be a consistent trait at every visit, and it is clearly a part of the training of the wait staff. Examples: The dessert menu hits the table within 30 seconds of the dinner dishes having been cleared. If one lingers after dinner, the server will ask repeatedly if they can bring you anything else. It is the worst place I know to catch up with a friend over dinner. The food is wonderful, but the sense of relaxation could be greatly improved."

"The polenta gorgonzola fries were outstanding. The charcuterie plate was very good, too. My entree was just ok. The NY strip was tender and cooked MR as ordered, but otherwise ho-hum. "Food was excellent, and the place was hopping, so I was happy to have made a reservation. After we sat down, it took 10 minutes for someone to finally come over to greet and take a drink order. Then someone else came by to check and we ordered appetizers. Finally, our waitress showed up, and things went fine from there. We didn't complain at all, but they comped the first round of drinks and the appetizers and apologized for the mix up. I'll be back because of this."

"The food was outstanding and the place is beautiful, it was packed, so it was a bit too noisy as it was hard to hear someone talking to you from across the table. My main complaint was our waitress, we were celebrating a birthday party and she was extremely rude from the beginning by sighing multiple times and prodding when everyone was going to arrive. We ordered drinks and that took over 30 minutes to get them. It took another hour for us to get our food!!! Good thing we had good company around. Our server had no manners and brought out the bill to my sister who only ordered desert (she is pregnant and was not feeling very good) before we even received our food. Her bill sat on the table for more than an hour."
