When we arrived at 9:00 p.m., the place was pretty packed and quite loud. Even at 10:30 p.m. when the place was close to closing and there were maybe only 5 tables with people still at them, there was STILL a lot of noise. Basically, the acoustics of the building are pretty bad. They need to put down some rugs or something.

As for the food, the food was great. I had the chicken scarpariello and my husband had something off the daily specials menu. My dish was well prepared -- somewhat spicy with hot peppers and spicy sausage included. For dessert, we had a fondant au chocolat, fresh whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream as an accompaniment. I'd eat here again."

"We did not have a positive experience here on Saturday April 13. Entertainment was scheduled that was very loud and intrusive throughout our meal (7:30pm-9:15pm). The two singers "entertained" with canned background accompaniment in the manner of the Las Vegas bar room entertainers parodied on Saturday Night Live. It was so loud that our waiter had trouble telling us the specials. The food is ordinary at best and the service was slow. We were not notified that there would be entertainment by management. Three of us had chicken dishes which were not well seasoned and accponpanied by a bland assortment of vegetables. I had gnocchi, which was very floury and covered by a weak bolognese sauce. Disappointing!"

"Gavi was very quiet and relaxing when we were there on a Saturday night. The food was wonderful and the service was impeccable; very attentive. We would definitely go back! I had the salmon and it was great!Our waiter was so personable and made us feel important in the restaurant which is always nice. YOu could actually talk and hear yourself which is preferred to me when I dine out! I recommend this restaurant."
