"I have never been disappointed here. The food is always exceptional, never your ordinary fare. Exquisite creations. Excellent quality. The services is top notch. The servers are knowledgeable and I have always had great service. Michael is very often there adding the personal touch and making sure your dining experience is the best. There is a wonderful lounge with great music at the piano bar, which is never to loud so conversation is easy. When I have guests in town and I want to show them Sarasota's best, Michael's on East is my first choice."

"Wir sind nach all den Kritiken mit einer großen Erwartungshaltung zu Michael's on East gekommen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Unser Ziel war es den letzten Abend unseres Urlaubs mit einem Steakessen zu beschließen. Ein einfaches Kettenrestaurant sollte es nicht sein und so beschlossen wir in dieses Restaurant zu gehen. Und es war eine gute Entscheidung, es war das beste Rib-Eye Steak, dass wir jemals gegessen haben. Unglaublich aromatisch, zart und auf den Punkt gegart mit krosser Fettkante war es wirklich sensationell und bei einem Gewicht von ca. 800 gr auch genug für zwei. Dazu kommt noch eine große Auswahl erstklassiger Rotweine by the glass und außerdem noch ein aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service."

"My wife and I have enjoyed a couple of Epicurean Dinners before. Having lived in Peru for a number of years, we were looking forward to the Recent Peruvian offering. The food was good, as always, but definitely not typical Peruvian cuisine. I am afraid the chef tried to do too much with dishes that are a model of simplicity in cooking, particularly the cebiche and the anticuchos.They were too sophisticated. I just wonder if other Epicurean Dinners suffered from the same."

"We had a lovely evening at Michael's last night. Food was excellent, Service from a waiter who has served us before was watchful but not stuffy or intrusive. Two of us had fish, one had steak and one had the monthly Peruvian special and said all his choices were good. Our fish (pompano and swordfish) were both cooked nicely, not dry, and served with roasted beans. And the gal who got the so-called 6 oz fillet (a huge fist of a piece of meat) was very happy with hers. Michael's is usually reliably pleasant. Some people go there for special occasions -- we just go. No regrets ever."

"There were four of us in our party, and we all had the Moroccan-inspired Epicurean Adventure dinner. Each course was absolutely fantastic, in terms of both taste and presentation! The various blends of spices and herbs made each appetizer and entree spectacular in its own way. The desserts were wonderful. The chef is to be commended.

"Michaels on East has totally lost it. We went out for a date night 7 months after having a baby, expecting a special a meal. Our salads came out before our drinks were served, our appetizers never arrived, my wife had a delicious salad and entree, but mine were mediocre. As we were served desert a large private function ended and the wait staff started rolling tables down steps right near our table. then they started throwing glass ware into bins and making an incredible racket. I said out loud "You cannot be serious."
I felt that all the staff wanted to do is go home early- the dining experience of the customers had no importance."

"Our fixed price three course Moroccan dinner was fun, unique and delicious. The menu has many diverse choices. Most interesting was the sustainable caviar produced at the local Mote Aquarium. Our meal was definitely worth the price. We appreciated the table side visit from the owner and the chef."

"Probably one of the best filets we've had since we moved back here. It was so tender you could cut it with the butter knife. The scallops were good, but I've had better. The Carpaccio was outstanding. The only strike I will give the place, is no cheesecake. How can you not have cheesecake? Overall, I look forward to going back and trying other dishes."

"They picked up on my note on Open Table and called to confirm that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. A personally signed card was waiting for him and he received the chocolate cake with candle I had ordered for him without having to remind anyone there. It was a perfect evening!"

"we went to michael's on east - three neighbors - for lunch and to catch up on each other's lives. we ordered three different salads - they were all delicious. service was very good - reasonable speed and attentive. we all relaxed and enjoyed the food and the ambience. first time two of us had been there - a lovely find!"

"Our first experience and we liked the restaurant very much. The service very friendly and food very good (even though 2 of 4 Entrees were only lukewarm and needed to get reheated). The ambiance very classy. The pianist very good (good voice), but sometimes a hint too loud, so conversation at dinner a bit difficult. Still a great place to recommend!"

As always, the atmosphere was Fabulous! Bringing in a group from the North for a Michael's experience. I just smiled with all the ahs as they looked around to take in the ambiance.
From the pleasant hostess, terrific waite staff, and engaging food, I achieved my goal to have them talking all night and the next day about your restaurant. The talk of "when we come back to Sarasota" we are definitely coming here again.
My sincere appreciation for the extras you provided us. Everything from champagne, appetizer, to excellent wine choices just was the frosting on the cake. I know that you will be talked about at all our family gatherings. Thank-you! Dennis and Rita"
