4290 Bistro & Bar is located in Palo Alto inside the beautiful Cabana Hotel. A bit more casual, a little more relaxed a lot more caring and a whole bunch of fun. The Bistro offers American comfort home style cooking, with favorites such as Monkfish, “Pot Roast”, New Orleans Style B.B.Q. Shrimp and more.
Let’s not forget breakfast that provides a choice of a’ la carte or buffet daily.

The Bistro is also well known for its renowned champagne brunch.

"A typical bistro in a hotel. It's convient if you're staying at the hotel. There is no reason to seek it out. As my mother says, "well, it fills the hole," and that about sums it up."

"We did not actually end up eating here. We did go, and we sat down, but (a) the full menu was not available, and (b) the restaurant just seemed sort of sad and awkward, with almost no one else there, so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere."
