"We tried to make reservations for brunch- however there were no times available that were convenient for us. That was probably a blessing- as we were told there were about 700 there for brunch- When our family group all arrived, there were about 7 others dining- so it was a very relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The servers were attentive even though they were tired. The spring salad was excellent-the dressing refreshing. The restaurant had run out of ribs -but the grandchildren enjoyed the steak medallions. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and flaky. We have dined here many times and though it's pricey- the experience is great. We had our Anniversary party there -our grandson told everyone it was the best meal of his life!!"

"I have been here many times. They have an extensive wine list and some of the best wine accessories and glassware. The food is always wonderful. We use Hereford House for business meetings quite often. It is a perfect setting to be able to discuss business or just have a social evening while enjoying fabulous wine and food."

"This was a first time visit. Wife and I went there for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Food and service were excellent. If you were into wine (which we are not), looks like the place to be. It was a Wednesday night, so they were not very busy. They have an outoddor patio, but it was cold and windy so no one was out there. Staff paid a lot of attention to us and we had a wonderful evening. We will probably only visit on special occasions or as a treat, because of the cost."

"The potatoes were fantastic! All of the food portions were nice except for my grilled chicken plate which was quite small. Actually the entire table was surprised by its smallness. Thought maybe I had ordered off of the kid's meal. Overall we had a nice meal and looking out over the golf course was nice. We were the only table in the dining room during lunch and it seemed to take such a long time for our food to arrive. Maybe there were issues we weren't aware of. Overall good food and great time."

"We went with another couple and while our food was great, his steak was not. His family has been in the meat business for over 50 years and he tasted my husbands and mine and said they were fine . So, three of us had gret meals, one bad. HH did take his meal off the bill including his dessert."

"We loved our early evening anniversary dinner at the Hereford House in Wichita. Although it was rainy and dreary outside, we appreciated the view of the golf course. The steaks, bread, vegetables were excellent (EXCEPT for the House and Caesar salads which were tiny colorless pieces of lettuce with two teeny cherry tomatoes on the side. I strongly recommend that you discover where PANERA gets their salad greens which are always GREEN, CRISP medium-sized pieces of Romaine.)
Our server was very attentive, and she conscientiously gave us time to peruse the menu. However, 45 minutes is too long to wait from restaurant entrance to when we were served our first food. We enjoyed the wine presentation in the unusual decanter."

"Easter Brunch was memorable. Usually a restaurant has difficulty transforming itself from a quiet "wait server" establishment to a "buffet" brunch arrangement. They carried it off superbly.'The dining room was untouched, with all it's ambiance. Without good food, ambiance isn't enough. They did not fail in the that either. "We went for my wife's birthday with a group of 6. I had told the restaurant in advance that it was her birthday and they seated us at a table by the fireplace overlooking the golf course. The food was excellent-the sea hogs and shrimp cocktail were nice starters. Since it is the Hereford House, we decided beef would be a good choice and were not disappointed by the perfectly prepared cuts of prime beef. Our waiter, Sean, was knowledgeable and appropriately attentive allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal by showing up at the table at just the right times. To end the meal, they provided a desert sampler and wished my wife a happy birthday. Excellent experience and we will return soon."

"Well I usually rant and rave about a place with outstanding service and great food. Not the Case Last night. We had A reservation at 7:45 and got seated at 8:05 pretty good time. Sat near the big window the restaurant was full no way to change tables so I had to leave my coat on as it was cold.
The next 2 hours and 30 minutes was ridiculous. Ordered quickly in 5 minutes off the complete 4 course menu then sat and waited for Wine, Then sat and waited for Strange Stuffed mushrooms so different they were Mushroom Caps covered with cream cheese. Then had to sit and wait 30 minutes for Salads. Then we were told they were out of Baked Potatoes and asked if loaded mashed would do LOL. Out of frustration we agreed sat 45 minutes got Steak over co"

"Arrived 15 mins prioe reservation at 2100. Was told there was a wait of 30 mins. Understandable. It was a holiday. Went to the bar. Waited 15 mins before even being greeted. Not a big bar either. Two bartenders, male and female, arguing back and fourth, and struggling with helping their bars 8 guests and 6 tickets. Finally got a drink. No apology for the wait. Not sat until 2145. Then the server offered no water, coffee or app plates with our app or meal. Allows me to order the prime rib, for the 4 course meal for 2, waitress comes back 5 mins to tell me they are out of that cut. Order a ribeye, unable to meet the criteria for the 4 course meal for 2 deal. Never saw a manager on the floor visiting with tables or remedying complaints."

"Overall, it was a disappointing experience and for the cost, will not be going back anytime soon. Our steaks were outstanding, which salvaged our evening. Everything else was disappointing-the onion rings tasted like ones you would get from Sonic; the salad was awful, tasting like a salad out of a bag from the grocery store and although the bread was delicious, it showed up towards the end of our meal."

"Had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night! The food was outstanding! I had the prime rib and my husband had the filet madallions, both were prepared perfectly. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was fantastic! Our waitress was Ashby and she was very sweet and friendly, had a lot of knowledge about the menu and wine list! Good job!!"

"The meal was excellent. Food was cooked perfect to order with excellent flavor. The wait staff was not near as good. We waited long amounts of time to order and recieve food and drinks. The resteraunt did not seem to be busy enought to justify the service. I would probably go back again in the hopes that it was a fluke."
