"We have been to this restaurant a number of times. It does not have the ambiance of an old time steakhouse but sometimes I don't need ambiance to eat steak. The steaks are very tasty and done as you ask. They have shellfish as well. They do charge for sides but you get plenty and they do not overcharge as most steakhouses do. Service is attentive and not overbearing. Eat here, you'll enjoy it."

"Went here for a dinner for two. Lamb chops and slab of bacon as starters. Lamb was so-so (not so juicy for medium-rare), bacon was very thick and tasty. Filet Mignon and NY Strip as main. Filet Mignon was ordered medium-rare but came out quite dry. NY Strip was medium rare also, but cooked to perfection (really juicy and rich of flavor). Pleasantly surprised, especially considering the lower price point when compared to other steak houses and the Filet Mignon. Reasonable selection of wine, also by the glass. Overall; would go back if in the neighborhood."

"Overall an excellent evening that was difficult to fault. The calamari starter was lovely and we really appreciated the honest advice from our waitress that one each + a steak might be too much and that we might like to consider sharing the starter. Such honesty is rare but the owner ought to be proud as we are definitely more likely to return as a result. The steaks were great and well-priced when compared with the more well known NYC steak houses.
In short - great food, friendly and honest service, lovely wine and pleasant atmosphere. My wife and I will definitely return when we visit NYC again.
Tip was included in the bill - maybe a mistake as we would have probably given more!"

"Steak was good, and an excellent value. Ribs are forgettable - meaty and well-rendered of fat, but spice rub and sauce just pedestrian. Side of broccoli nothing special and a bit expensive for what you get. Service was friendly and proficient. Enjoyed my fluffy key lime pie for dessert. Will return for steak when in neighborhood but rest of menu needs to be navigated carefully."

"Went here for a special meal while on holiday in NY. Chose this restaurant after researching on Trip Advisor.
Had calamari to start and the Porterhouse steak to share, cooked exactly as requested. Also three sides and decent bottle of wine. All in came to about $150 including a decent tip.

"Excellent overall. Steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. Filet was the most generous cut I've ever seen. The slab bacon appetizer is unique and excellent. Prices were very fair.
Definitely the steakhouse we'll go to when in Manhattan.
Classic Manhattan ambiance, fine service.
When I am in NY at a conference (Steakhouse is near Jacob Javits Center), I'll consider this for a large group meal too. It looks like they could accommodate larger groups with a little notice."

"Can't beat the prices, atmosphere, food. In an era where every steak house in town can't seem to sell a steak for less than $50, this place is still affordable. And good! Split the gigantic porterhouse, done medium well, melted in our mouths. Side dishes were good too - the grilled asparagus stood out. Attentive staff, not too noisy. All in all, a good night out."
