Sage Alpharetta offers a city chic yet casual atmosphere featuring contemporary American cuisine with global influences. We offer Market Fresh Fish, Seafood, Hand-Cut Steaks, Chops, Gourmet Salads, Chicken, Pastas and Burgers all prepared over our live hickory oak woodfire grill.
"Good good place with good food. Ladies Night gave half off appetizers so we got the whole menu. Tricky, though, because the special only applies in the bar so be SURE to sit there!"

"The food and service here was great. The only negative was it was way too cold in the restaurant and very dark. We had to use flashlights to see the menu."

"We have dined at Sage previously and I don't feel like the food or the entire evening was up to par. It si hard to explain but somehting was missing. There were a LOT of empty tables for a Saturday evening-I thought that was noticeable."

"We enjoyed the relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Our server recommended the hangar steak special and a particular wine to compliment the dish; both were outstanding. The crab mushroom appetizer was the best we've ever experienced and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. Sage is a bit pricey, but the friendly staff and food made it a good value."

"This was my first time at SAGE, but definitely won't be my last! Food and service was great, discounting the minor glitch that SAGE didn't acknowledge to Opentable that I was there."

"I took a group of 10 from my office for lunch at Sage. No one really wanted to order an appetizer so the waiter suggested a "small sampler" for the table. When the bill came I had been charged for $80 worth of individual appetizers! I called the manager to complain and she was going to get back with me - still waiting for over 2 weeks! The whole situation put me in a difficult place as I had to explain this extravagant charge on my expense report. Obviously their only interest was in padding the check and tip to the waiter."

"A friend and business partner of mine suggested dinner on Saturday night so we could discuss some business issues and opportunities. We tried to get a res for Village Tavern for 7 pm, but it was booked with yucky options for other times. I had not been to Sage in a long time, and there was a 7 pm res available, so I snagged it and gave my friend the details. I'm so glad we went to Sage instead of Village Tavern; I really enjoy VT, but I was getting a little tired of the same scene. Sage turned out to be a GREAT substitute!! My friend ordered seafood, but I was in the mood for a good steak, and I ordered the petite filet....TOTALLY YUMMY!! I gave my friend a bite of my steak, and he was instantly sorry he had not ordered steak, too!!"

"We had a great time - the food was excellent. We had Rosemary Shrimp skewers and Sea Scallops for appetizers - really delicious. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The Greek Salad was also very good - really hit the spot. Entrees were equally delicious. The fish and seafood were perfect; not too dry, as can often happen. All in all, we really enjoyed the food and service."

"We were there with 2 children and while Sage isn't a "kid restaurant" they were very nice with friendly, accommodating service. The food was very good. My only complaint was that the waitress didn't tell us how large the dessert was. We could have easily shared."

"When I booked for Mother's Day brunch I was told they would have their lunch menu and with a few brunch offerings. When we arrived they had their dinner menu which was much heavier than we were wanting for brunch. Brunch menu selections were ok. They did not even have their regular kids menu available but did have two kid entree choices. It was disappointing because we'd already reviewed the lunch menu before and were hoping for salads/sandwiches. I've been for dinner before the restaurant is VERY dark. I was expecting it to be lighter for brunch, we felt like we were in a cave with red light. Definitely NOT the Mother's Day ambiance we were looking for. After being seated I realized they did have a patio -wish we would have sat outside."

"I am very sad to write this, as going to Sage used to be a Mother's Day tradition for us. I am afraid that it no longer will be. First, our waiter Scott was very good, and he sincerely tried to make up for the kitchen's mistakes. We arrived at 1115 for our reservation and were seated right away, the restaurant was less than 1/4 full, but it did begin to fill up as we sat and waited and waited. We did receive our appetizer in short order and it was very good (Calamari). However, our food arrived approximately 45 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, 1/2 of our 4 orders were wrong or cold and were still wrong/cold when they brought them back. This used to be one of our go to places for special occasions."

"We invited friends to join us for tapas at Sage, not realizing the menu format had undergone a transformation since our last visit. No longer tapas and flatbreads, this is now an app and entrée restaurant. The portions were large but not overwhelming. Our table had the scallops, salmon, stuffed chicken, and the house burger. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was excellent. $25-$30 entrees were slightly unexpected based on last visit, but the quality was worth the cost."

"We had a working lunch here and the staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed the calamari (rings only!) and then everyone ordered the soup and sandwich lunch special - a great deal for your money. The tomato bisque was spicy, but not overly so, and the turkey club was fresh and stacked high with yummy ingredients. Our sever was friendly and attentive.
My only complaint is how dimly lit the restaurant is... We will definitely be back, but we will probably wait until the patio is open."

"Had a great dinner at Sage tonight. The goat cheese stuffed chicken is one of their signature dishes and is EXCELLENT (comes with vegetables and oven roasted potatoes). Also, we had chocolate bread pudding with some ice cream - fantastic! And service from Peter was superb! All in all a perfect evening!"

"We've been to Sage twice in the last few months. It's OK but nothing about it is special. Menu has some nice selections but food is not particularly fresh and my main course was not hot when it arrived. Wine selection again is good but not remarkable in any way. Service is friendly but not particularly attentive -- we had to remind our waiter about a drink order, for example. The ambience is a bit weird -- dark with odd color choices. There are many better options in north Fulton."

"Reservation for 6:30 pm was made for a table....Hostess wanted to seat my guest and I in a booth. Ambiance was nice with quiet lighting and a dark warm decor, however music was way too loud and as well as "crowd noise". Restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. Food was good and was served promptly. Waitress was friendly and attentive, until check was paid then we never saw her again. My guest and I wanted to visit for a bit after the meal...no one checked back to inquire about further drinks or to refresh our coffees. Overall, a decent first time experience-and would return--maybe. Final thought: the decor and soft lighting were much appreciated, but suggested an intimate and more quiet experience, which was not the case, however."

"Sage was busy and the booth we were seated at was at the back of the restaurant which means we did ot get a real feel of the atmosphere - that said we had a very good meal - our waitress was excellent and we had a very good evening"

"One of the worst places I've been to eat. First, the hostess didn't seat us until 30 min after our reservation. Other people walked in the door AFTER us and she would show them to a table immediately. Our server was aweful! Had to wait 30 minutes to get a refill on my drink. He completely forgot about my friends' salads and our meal came out with everything on top of the other and made it very soggy. Will not be revisiting this place."

"Last Saturday night was perhaps the worst dining experience I can recall having. Our reservation was for 7:45pm and we were not seated until 8:25pm. I spoke with the manager and she seemed strangely unconcerned about the long wait despite having the reservation. We then waited over 10 minutes for a server to come to our table and ask for our drink order. We then requested some bread to arrive before our appetizers and dinner and after five requests, finally received the bread which our server was being baked. Funny how it came out room temperature. We waited one hour from the time of ordering dinner entrees until they were served which was after 9:30pm...and then they were barely warm."

"We had a 7:45 reservation. At 8:15, I asked the manager if the 30 minute-plus wait was normal. She said it wasn't but that guests were "just staying." We were finally seated around 8:30.
I ordered the Woodfire Grilled Black Angus Filet. I was so irritated by the time my food came that it did not even occur to me until just now that my food did not have sundried tomatoes or bleu cheese when I got it, and mine came with spinach instead of the described asparagus. I ordered my meat medium rare, and it was closer to well done.
Or server (who never introduced herself) may have been slammed, but she got an attitude when we asked her for bread for the THIRD time.
Never again. For the money, I expect MUCH more."

"The food tasted good once we got it but the service was incredibly slow. After ordering it took 30 minutes to get soups and salads and then once they were cleared another 30 minutes for our entree. We did not order dessert or coffee and then still had to wave someone down to get our check. The other tables seemed to not have as many issues."

"First time there. Hostess was nice....but asking her what is good to eat and her responding "i have only eaten dessert" is unacceptable! Please give the child a few free meals so she can suggest dishes .....she is your first line of sales! Waitress was polite and timely but didn't really know exactly what she should about the specials. Wine pricey by the glass."

"Normally this restaurant is excellent. But today they were varnishing the floors and the fumes were terrible. They opened the doors to bring in fresh air, but it was very cold so we had to keep our winter coats on during the entire meal. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon."
